I honestly love this line because of how much it shows how creative Digimon can be. Plus with this obvious parallel between Impmon and Guilmon lines it makes me consider all the similarities between Gallantmon/Dukemon and Beelzemon. Humanoid forms: Knight vs Biker. Mounts: Grani vs Behemoth. Higher forms: Crimson vs Burst. Now imagining Beelzemon as a slide form for HeavyMetaldramon like Gallantmon is for Megidramon (ChaosGallantmon especially) is also very fun given that while Bikers are in a different sub culture as Punk and Rock/Metal they can certainly have their crossovers.
A digivolution that doesn't make sense? Show me one that does. Not to rip on one of my fav franchises but when does a dog evolve into a truck with a flamethrower. Tbh it's one of the things I love most about digimon is the flexibility of evolutions. Okay all joking aside, love the vid and I really liked the 11 hour video. Literally no one else has even tried to explain all of digimon in one video before.
The brand new digimon and one of the main characters of liberator...I think. I didn't red it yet. You come back at a great time. Bandai is introducing a lot of new digimon because of the new web series. We have a brand new ultimate level for Tyrannomon, a new evolution line for shellmon, new evolution line for funbeemon (witch already covered) and many other new digimon that expand the lore of the digital world. Some are even connected to Witchelny and their version of the royal knights. And it's still going so we will probably get even more new digivolution as more chapters are being published.
This is a good start to the Halloween season. Maybe a look at Pumpkinmon is in order for this time, especially since there doesn't seem to be a whole lot on Pumpkinmon itself, despite initially being seen in original Digimon Adventure during the Myotismon arc, and has gotten a canonical evolution in the form of NoblePumpkinmon, but I haven't seen anything regarding its "official" prior stages, this is especially odd when you consider Pumpkinmon is classified an Ultimate/Perfect level Digimon. But you will notice on the Digimon wiki that Pumpkinmon does not have any formally recognized prior stages, which means outside of the v-pets and games it appears in, Pumpkinmon does not have any prior stages that the Digimon developers officially consider its prior stages.
I like the idea of Impmon having an evolution line based on rock music, since there was an entire satanic panic around the genre for a long time and a lot of bands even adopted demonic and undead imagery into their identity, so in a sense, there is still a demonic reference in this line, despite not ending in a great demon lord. Also, I would love to see what Impmon's version of Dukemon would look like, especially with all the heavy metal inspiration

Mentioning ideology as a form of self expression rather than what most people think it is, is something I've been thinking about a lot recently. Hearing something similar while I was taking my daily Digimon break from reading was pretty cool. Great minds think alike, right? lol
I've seen fans say they love this digivoultion line just as much and it's very easy to see why. It plays on the original plan of Tamers. On top of that it gives Impmon more options and hey we know fans are going to love mixing and matching this and the original digivolvution line two.

Imagine it, we had canons where Digimon lived so long and ended up in different timelines/ what if in one timeline Beelzemon and the Devas won, with Beelzemon killing and absorbing Megidramon's data. Without the tamers The D-Reaper was free to continue spreading, Hence, Beelezmon jumped over to another universe to escape that bad timeline to one where the D-reaper wiped out humanity and the digital world there cus Xros wars with Gatomon, Wizardmon, it was possible, and Beezelmon with the data of Guilmon's line end up in Liberator Novel. Maybe out of regret, Impmon is using Guilmon's data to take a form that keeps the memory alive so he doesn't turn back into Beelzemon because that was the form that took away the only hope of saving both worlds due to his sin of gluttony for more power
I wonder if there will be an alternate Mega to Heavymetaldramon that takes cues from Gallantmon? I know someone said that Beelzemon is that counter, and I can see it, but it would still be interesting to see if an alternative will exist. If so, it could be interesting to see how it would work, and if it would continue the music pun theme? Punk Rock and Heavymetal aren't the only genres of music to be associated with punk. (Yes, there is such a thing as Punk Rock.)
This would likely end up being what'd fill Megidramon's position in the possible AU where Impmon was Takato's Partner. My proposal for this Slot would be *DeathMetaldramon,* a Humanoid Demon Dragon Digimon overwhelmed by the power of the Digital Hazard, and gaining a Hatred for Everything. Wearing a Black Digitron-scaled Jacket and Compressing all the Data it's absorbed down into a simple Microphone, it may not seem like an Upgrade - but you'll understand once they open their Mouth, as their Voice is capable of disrupting Reality itself, and DeathMetaldramon doesn't care if they tear apart the entire Digital World along with itself! This power enhanced by the Digital Hazard solidly cements it as an Anamalous Entity that can't exist for any length of time, and must be destroyed at all costs!
This new Evolution line for Impmon looks good and I like both his evolutions line and seeing this new Line being similar to Guilmon it make me wonder of Impmon will get another new mega later on similar to Gallentmon a more Dark Knight Digimon and next do Pteromon or since it’s Halloween season why not do Phumpkinmon video.
I'm not a big fan of Impmon and his line (I don't hate it, I just don't love it like others) but with this draconic digivolution line I would actually tame and train an Impmon if it were to appear in a future video game (e.g. Digimon stories) The similarities with guilmon are cool. I really appreciate that. I don't listen to any of the music groups mentioned in this video but I've heard of them. I mean Metallica is well known, even for somebody who doesn't listen to that kind of music. I would like to see a video about the digital 'alphabet'. 😊
i had that Digidatepat or what it was call that from seson 2 were the digi armor egg are store as a toy and it had the Digialpabet what was cool to bad i don,t have it anymore i like to read up in that
So, if HeavyMetalDramon is a variant of Megidramon, does that mean Impmon is going to get his own Gallantmon/Dukemon variant, in the same way Guilmon did in Tamers, or is HeavyMetalDramon not constantly berserk like Megidramon is?
Glad to see someone else noticed such similarity! Though considering Guilmon's line have recolor versions for the other Attributes, I'd suspect a Red Vaccine or Data version of Punkmon to be appearing later to fit this exact association with Shoutmon, given it's such a perfect fit. You could technically even have Gumdramon as a potential Rookie for Punkmon, either for a darker Digivolution Path or digivolving into a Data-variant line...

Most likely Colour Variations of Punkmon line with the Vaccine and/or Data Attribute will be added, with the Red variant being a valid Shoutmon Digivolution Line.
I disagree, it makes perfect sense when you think about it because a digivolution line can be affected by the data that the Digimon absorb or possess absorbing a lot of dragon and dinosaur data along with the data of heavy metal music. We have to remember digivolution is affected by forces that are both inside and outside of a digimon's body.
Dragons, atleast in the West, are beings of evil, so it does make sense its still a Nightmare Soldier. That also aligns well with Guilmon, a good and sweet dragon, similiar how some Dragons are in the East.
