it would be super cool to see your thoughts on lego monkie kid! it gets really good about halfway through the first season, and the characters are all so fun :D
@Epic sorry it’s been 6 months, I don’t have notifications on for replies: But the ad most likely doesn’t exist anymore, but the closest is the official lego upload of 10 hours of that song, just search “this song is gonna get stuck inside your head lego movie 2 10 hour long” (not exactly the length but the ending is the same)
As a fan of ninjago (the TV show) I can say that the movie has almost nothing to do with the show but damn do I still love it.Like the characters are stereotypes of the TV show characters and a lot of stuff is really different but I can still appreciate how different the story is while being fun in its own ways and how good the animation is.
I…wasn’t the big fan of it XD I mean, I absolutely adored the story arc with Lloyd and Garmadon…but I really just couldn’t stand the other characters… I still feel like there was a lot of potential in it, and maybe for the first time in ages, a sequel could actually make it better! (And maybe they’ll do spinjuitzu some justice…)
As someone who is a huge fan of the show, I honestly agree that I enjoyed with the movie. Yeah sure it’s not like the show that most people wanted, but I can appreciate it for what it is and hell there was a ton of references to the show which in my own opinion they do make up for it. (Well in my opinion that is)
The original Lego Movie is probably one of my favourite things ever. I don’t know how long it would take me to explain why I love the movie so much, but let’s just say it would take a while.
FUN FACT: The Lego Movie was actually NOT the first ever Lego movie. However, it was the first one they did with WB. But, the first ever Lego movie was called "The LEGO Adventures of Clutch Powers" It came out back in 2010, but didn't do very well, and that is why to this day most people don't know it exists, but there was one before. The Lego Adventures of Clutch powers has a really good story line, but the animation is just terrible, and overall the movie was not very well done. I loved it when I was a little kid, watching it now as a teenager was kinda cringe though. Anyway, just thought I should share!
Clutch powers is the real deal man just a bit outdated. And then there was a bunch of Lego movies like the bionicles and hero factory ones some earlier superhero lego movies mostly Batman and some other stuff. Clutch Powers is the best out of all of these by a long shot though
Clutch powers is a giga chad, he is referenced in the other Lego movies and is in ninjago at some point recently. There was meant to be a trilogy where they dealt with the 2 other villains released in the prison break at the start
I re-watched the Lego Movie and I thought it'd be something goofy and dumb that I liked because I was a dumb kid, but I think I like it more now then before
I remember when i saw the lego movie back in 2014, still to this day one of the best days of my life. Awesome videos awesomemay keep up the great work!!
It was good. The show is A MILLION times better, but the movie is still pretty good. I was able to get used to the fact that the official character designs in the show were changed cause of the movie, too. BUT THE ZANE DESIGN IN THE MOVIE WAS PURE NIGHTMARE FUEL!!!
@@-_-June-_- Zane's personality in the movie is a nightmare too. He isn't dumb He is smart and funny while learning to be funny. He is the smart and calm ninja in the movie they made him dumb and almost unfunny
I've been a fan of Ninjago since I was 6 or 7 years old. Me and my sister love the show and still watch it to this day. When the movie came out, I was super excited. Although, it wasn't the best it could've been. I still like it, though. (Also, I remember seeing the Lego Movie in the theater and getting super excited when I saw the green ninja in it)
Nice video! I like the way how you explained everything but there's one thing you should know. LEGO actually gave their film rights to Universal so there won't be any more LEGO movies from Warner Brothers and therefore no LEGO Batman Movie 2, LEGO Movie 3, etc.
1:42 He plans in gluing Everybody and Everything just for the world to be perfect. A beautiful display world that never changes, he hates new things and creativity and that's why. Also he is an analogy to the Father that never let the son play with the legos, at the same time that that's what LEGOs are intended for. Build new things, use creativity and play. And thats why he is the best antagonist for a lego movie, he sets it perfectly.
I found some flaws about the Lego Movie 2, as far as I remember it turned out that the weird musical singing thingy wasn't the evil character, but the chad version of Emmet was.
6:24 Duplo are from the official LEGO company and they are for little kids. Kinda makes sense that they are the villains of the story since the kid's sister is "invading" his Lego world.
The directors of the Lego movie were the guys behind Clone High, and the voice actor for Abraham Lincoln in the Lego movie is the same voice actor for clone high Lincoln
The LEGO Batman Movie definitely had a memorable Joker, but can we also talk about how this film handled Robin? Too many DC movies/shows portray him as some whiny spoiled jerk or an over-the-top angsty edgelord who wants to be as Dark as Batman (Like 2 certain TV shows I will NOT mention.) But this version of Dick Grayson is actually likable. He's naive yes, but he's kind hearted, caring, had a lot of funny lines, and would do anything to make Batman proud of him without being aggressive. And in the end, Batman accepted him as his son and allowed The Bat Family in his life. He's like what Robin was supposed to represent when he debuted in the 1940s. So yeah, out of everything related to DC, The LEGO Batman Movie has The BEST Robin. And I'm Tired of pretending it doesn't.
But it being a musical made sense. Biancas like 8 or 9 years old and girls at that age love catchy pop music, so of course it would be incorporated into her lego world as part of the movie is Biancas storytelling/perspective. Pretty much all the songs occur in the systar (sister) system.
I’ve only just realized now how much The Lego Movie liked to mock common movie tropes. They called the “piece de resistance” the “piece of resistance” and had a visual metaphor for having a bounty on your back. (As you said) and that’s just the piece of resistance!
I actually really liked the Lego movie 2. Sure it definitely wasn’t as good as the first one, but i feel like it was able to capture the same charm that made the Lego movie special
0:27 there’s a lot more than 4 the Lego DC super hero movies and they throw all the good stuff out of the window and have a fully animated movie inside of stop motion animation style
2:28 kinda .i like to be almost entirely enclosed in tight spaces but enough to move around and not feel traped so the think tank wouldn't exactly be. My cup of tea
I'm surprised you forgot Clutch Power. It's the first lego movie and really good :D Adventure and magic, a cool villain, music full of energy and rhytm, likable characters, good humor. I always have a great time when i watch it! You should try it too!
Finally! Someone is talking about ALL the LEGO Movies, and not just the first one. I watched each movie in theaters twice (except Ninjago, that one sucks) My Raitings: The LEGO Movie 1 and 2: 9/10 The LEGO Batman Movie: 7/10 The LEGO Ninjago Movie: 4/10
Completely right. I don’t know what they have with: „lego movie doesn’t have much story and nothing to do with the series…“ maybe, but I liked that. This film was so funny…
Basically what I think about the lego movies Yes: The Lego Movie, The Lego Batman Movie No: The Lego Movie 2, The Lego Ninjago Movie The one we should have talked about: The Adventures of Clutch Powers
Hey awesome May there’s gonna be a new lego movie but since the lego movies are now by universal what if they made a lego back to the future movie or a lego knight rider tv show or a lego et movie
