everyone: “hey drake do you like children?” drake: “i dont like millie bobbie brown” everyone: “…we never said that…” drake: “i dont like millie bobbie brown”
BENNNNN DID YOU HEAR HOW DRAKES HOUSE THAT WAS ON THR COVER OF NOT LIKE US GOT SHOT UP AND HIS STORE GOT “ they not like us “ SPRAY PAINTED ON THE WINDOW ?????? ITS INSANEE
Kendrick is not calling Drake not black because he is light skinned. He is calling him that because he's a culture vulture who uses his black identity selectively to gain from it (as explained in Not Like Us when he calls Drake a colonizer).
he also makes that clear in "meet the grahams" when he refers to adonis -- who's more or less a clone of his grandma through drake with his blue eyes + blond hair + skin lighter than drake's -- as black and tells him to never code switch. "Never code-switch, whether right or wrong, you're a Black man".
Drake is like one of those popular kids that make fun of the quiet kids and then finally when the quiet kid stand up for themselves they drop the most INSANE shit about the popular kids because they hear all the drama
except Kendrick is the top of the honor roll whos also in the theater club and has a band and fs with the history and literature club and also he takes college classes but also he is the quarterback actually
It hasn't been proven so it's just a rumor/speculation plus drake is known for bring women into beef. You should just wait to see if drake actually has evidence.
6-16 is my favorite out of all the disses. I'm at a point in my life, where generic music no longer hits. So I find myself enjoying instrumentals and classical music more. That said, the way Kendrick keeps the tone on this song is so melodic , and it's probably one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a while. That prayer POV in the begginning was also genius.
Drama: my best friend randomly started ignoring me for no reason around a month ago, and in the process , took my other best friend away from me. bare in mind I defended her in an argument with said friend literally a week before . I asked to talk to her about what happened and she said no, and I am yet to receive clarity about it, which has been making be really anxious and causing me to spiral .Meanwhile, this person is still friends with my sister and the rest of my friend group . It already didn’t help that I feel like I was hiding my real interests and personality from her and the rest of my friends in the first place, but this has just made me feel even more alone and I’ve been spiralling down the rabbit hole of questioning my place in the world ever since . What should I do?
ik like "its easy for me to say" but try speaking to ur sister and these other friends but if u were already hiding ur personality u should try find someone that u dont hv to hide it from like ik its scary but just try speaking to people like in ur classes and things like that and if not.. BISH BASH BOSH 🥊
the craziest thing about the "a minor" verse is not only does it mean like actually minors but if you play the a minor scale on the piano there's no black keys 😭🙏
i could see why someone would think SZA and Travis, especially travis are above him, since travis has amazing unique beats, and SZA always charting, but savage? when the last time you heard him everywhere past 2019? idk Big 3 is too ambiguous, cuz big three in terms of sales and streams are different than big 3 in quality and writing, or big 3 in fan loyalty.
Bro i feel like Kendrick said "Man fuck the big three _____ its just big me" on purpose cuz brother has his shit together and is ready to EVICIRATE ANYONE
