wildvine being unlocked while ben was near the mycelium could mean that the omnitrix can also unlock transformations by sensing connections between the 2 species witch could also explain how ben unlocked rath as a transformation in the episode con of rath the omnitrix sensed the connection between lewodans and appoplexians (just a little theory)
Considering Azmuth built the Omnitrix partially as a way for species to come closer together, and is aware of these connections - actively choosing transformations who have geopolitical or biological relationships to one another.
@@KirigiriKirinfun fact it is already stored as myax took the dna of wildvine when he was possessed by zscar absorbing both dna meaning that wildvine should have came before canonbolt
I love scientific worldbuilding fan theories, and Ben 10 has such potential with so many aliens that seem so unrealistic could be explained looking at our own planet. Great video, I'm hoping to see more of those types of discussions
I always hated how they made Wildvines eye green in Ov. I know why they did it, but it just looks so much better blue with the little thingies on his shoulders
It is possible that the eyes of wild vine and swamp fire work like human eyes do but there "brains" are wired different so while they do see with there eyes it's most likely for a different reason like finding good patches of sunlight of caves for shelter from powerful storms and they use there sense of smell the same way we use sight on a day to day basis. The reason ben uses sight in those forms primary is he is still human mentally and is instinctually programmed to use sight over the other senses to get around.
That pop up trivia about wildvine is probably retconned considering we meet other flouranas in omniverse and that nature dude DEFINITELY wasn't just going off instinct, he was pretty normal in terms of intelligence. So at least SOME members of the species break the mold and have more upgraded intelligence. I'd imagine vulpimancers are similar considering ben 10s stance on beings with intelligence controlling more primal animalistic forms being a big no no.
I have 2 guesses. Possibility 1, the aggressive ones are a more primitive subspecies of the intelligent ones, or vice versa. Possibility 2, the aggressive ones are either babies, which are more primitive and rely on instinct until they gain enough nutrients to build their nervous system enough to contain a consciousness, and/or elders, or unlucky members, who's nervous system has deteriorated due to age or illness, like Dementia or Alzheimer's in humans except they become feral. The reason there could be so many feral ones in the second case could be because the chances of one of their back seeds growing into a new Florauna are so low, that by the time one or two have come out, the parent plant has nearly or already reached old age.
@bartman1566 this is the type of stuff I'd like to see explored in speculative biology and evolution. Prime sci fi material, but I understand why ben 10 wouldn't be the show to explore something like that. Still tho
I'd like to point out that swamp fires stretching is likely literal instead of rapid increase and decrease in cells, as grass literally stretches its cells to grow
I have another example of plants achieving sentience in fiction in the form of Godzilla Earth who also has a high degree of intelligence likely around a very smart chimpanzee or dolphin
Those are super interesting and complicated ideas but I think the idea of them just being plants wich evolved similiar like humans and developed eyes, brains and other stuff. But I’d say the regrowing thing is like a unconscious thing coded into the cells itself because even when it’s brain is broken he reforms
@@KirigiriKirin Have forced/trained myself to breath only through my nose when I was small, so I do breath manually through my nose. Tho tbh after some time I stopped caring about the manual doing things.
I know, but I lumped them in with the plants because the justification for their sentience was similar enough that it wouldn't make sense to discuss it in a separate video
Correct! I included them in the video for the sake of having to make a separate video on them when they're so similar in terms of how they could potentially be sentient
What is these are just aminals that do photosynthesis isn't that far fetched and categories like animals or plants dorsnt apply to aliens but it was a fun video
im at the 3 minuts and 57 seconds i look at my phone a few seconds look back at my pc and see a squrtel bieng.... sus ig so ken we please talk about why you have that mabye and who the artist is just out of curisty nothing spacial and as credit its to damm funny
