I _really_ wish MarioMaker would update & include all the missing enemies & different suits & power ups from SMB3, & SMW they left out It would be _so_ awesome if it had (i don't know all the japenese names for them, but you'll get the gist) the raccoon (tanuki?) suit, hammer suit, & the frog suit. They should also add all the different colored Yoshis, & all the different koopas that allow you fly & do different moves w/them when yoshi sucks (but doesn't always swallow) them up in his mouth. i would love to be able to make sky-world levels, & the on/off switches too. Then throw in the different enemies like the sun dogs, the little jumpy thwomps, the giant boo mini-bosses that you kill w/the blocks, the big rhinos, the orange dragons that pop out of lava & all the obstacles like the spinny screw platforms from the air-ships in smb3, then the pink/green door-stop spring thingies that can spin around on or bounce you across platforms & shit. The weird giant springs from SMB1 that blast you into space when you jump ofd them (imagine the yolo jumps you could make w/those). & where is Luigi in mario maker? Like, i know there's a Luigi costume, but why not give the option to play as Super Mario's bro? It used to be his world too, ya know? Poor dude gets no respect, trapped in his bro's shadow... Hell, even having the option to play as Wario, toad, peach, or bowzer & giving them all different attributes & abilities as well would be really cool (this 1 i could probably live w/out, but it would still be sweet). & *holy shit* being able to make (original, 8 bit barrel throwing) Donkey Kong levels would be *straight up* titties. The penultimate cool addition would be the super secret Lazer suit from SMW. That would kick _sooo_ much ass! As great as the game is, & I'm not complaining about the quality by any means; it's amazing. But, they left out a _ton_ of potentially awesome game mechanics & power-ups that, if implemented via an update, i think it would give the game a whole new life as far as sales go. Ryu, you & all the other popular streamers/creators (poobear, Thomandy, Carl Sagain, etc) should petition this idea on the twitter or something. Wouldn't all of you *love* to see these additions & updates as well? W/all these options & extras, think of how _even more_ over the top, bananas & creative the levels people would be cranking out, & how much of an insurgence of new players &/or old players that had moved on from the game would jump at the opportunity to try out the additions! It would be a gigantic hit w/the community, & Nintendo would make a _shit-ton_ more money off this game, that's already, what, 2 years old now...? This game was created as a fan service, so i think if enough of us fans started blowing up Nintendo's twitter, FB, etc. they _may_ actually consider doing it... if yiu think it'd be great if they made these additions/updates, do w/this comment as you wish (copy/paste it verbatim if you want, i dont care) just help spread the mario maker resurgence hype!!!
Michael Sims I like everything you said up until the laser suit. That was never in the original SMW. The whole game code has been dumped since the 90s and there's no suit. Everything within the game can be recreated in Lunar Magic, a SMW level/hub creator way before Mario Makers time. Unless that's what you're talking about, creating a new item for Lunar Magic. Then I don't see how you got this conclusion besides fake RU-vid videos from 2009 which was a modded version most likely created in Lunar Magic; or random message board posts from 2015?
Pretty sure they gave up on this game as well as the WiiU (if I remember correctly it isn't even produced anymore). All their focus is on the Switch now and the new Mario Maker game so they might do it there, but I highly doubt the company as a whole gives even two fucks about this game anymore.
Noke0 Man, all i knew about the lazer suit, was a couple videos i watched about it a year or so ago. When i watched it, it looked like legit in game footage, so if it was fake, i was dooped. _Maybe_ i should've looked into it a little more before i posted it in this comment, but it was just a cool addition to the gameplay from SMW that I'd never been aware of until that video that i thought was a cool, rare, secret power up that the devs threw in for only the most hardcore mario experts to find, but ill take your word that it was a trick, & i apologize for posting misleading info.
subwayvesubscriber I was not aware that there was another Mario Maker game in the works. in that case, I'm sure they'll include everything i mentioned & more. At-least, I have the highest of hopes that they will. I don't own a switch, but if they make another mario maker game for the switch i will get 1. I _love_ , & can't get of enough of the creativity that goes into it, & the ability to combine different elements from each era of mario games so i would greatly enjoy a new, more intricate version of MM w/even more shit you can utilize in the levels. That would be really dope, & i hope all of the elements missing that i mentioned in my initial comment are there, plus much much more. Although... i _really_ *really* hope the stick to the 2D, side-scrolling platformer design from the originals (yes im aware new smb is somewhat 3D in design, but it still holds the side-scrolling elements from the originals) & don't try to do like an open world 3D version of MM like Mario64... i think that would be really lame honestly...
As far as I'm concerned there will be a new game but I've heard it will be different - I've heard a lot of things. I would just wait until there's actual information to conclude something definitive. Either way I think they will try to improve on it (they'd be stupid not to)! I agree. I absolutely love Mario Maker and was considering getting a WiiU but upon hearing all the stuff with the Switch I though I'd just wait rather than jumping on a sinking ship, so to say. I don't want to buy a console that quickly becomes obsolete and no one makes games for anymore.

Dude I have no idea why I’m so addicted to these videos.. this is how addicted I am: I love watching all these and I know I could probably make a dope level and I don’t even own Mario maker let alone a Nintendo besides my 64. Ryu cracks me up though. Teach my daughter so she can be next gen Mario master!!
The Second to last level I think there was some sort of secret at the very beginning of the level, right when you grab the pow it allows you to wall jump to the top.
Love your videos man. Have never played Super Mario Maker but still watch your vids religiously. If that isn't saying something about your vids, then idk what does. Love the positive attitude, most of these deaths would make me want to throw the controller! Keep it up!

ya know technically if you think about it we are working with Bowser because the levels in Mario are the attempts of stopping Mario so when we make every level we are helping Bowser more and more
I facepalmed so hard when he didn't know the cloud would bring yoshi up then he thought it was a troll. He didn't understand a bunch of the level which surprised me. I thought kaizo 4 was a good level
Awh, hopefully mine doesn't get skipped! I'll most likely send it again, it's been a good month or two. I've created Four more levels, but I think only one person beat one. The easiest one of course was beat. Most are kaizo though or just hard jumps.
I want a Wii U and Mario Maker to remake Super Meat Boy Levels. This could be so good, with multiple short Meat Boy Levels in a red coin collection Level.

This guy always jumps well before the end of ground is near and is like nope, cant make it... its like...yeah, use the entire ground and jump off tje end and youd make it just fine. I see him do this so much. Its like...wow.

As with the first level, I find it odd that a creator would make a level in which you have to basically commit suicide or be willing to in order to figure out the level. In theory, you shouldn't have to lose a Mario in order to beat a level unless you performed poorly.
I wish they would add: all seven bowser jr.s half water levels quicksand urchins those moving spiky cactus things shy guys penguin suits ice flowers banzai bills charging chucks baby yoshis acorns thwimps those rooms where you fight bosses and can't leave the ability to have more than four doors in a world or subworld I wish they would change: holding items inputs track mechanics spikes, spike tops, spinies, munchers, and thwomps hitboxes kaizo block mechanics mole mechanics red coin and key mechanics bowsers hitboxes cheep cheep hitboxes
