Hector is a true hero, seriously. Dude decided he's got to keep the civilian safe, and there was no price too steep to pay to get that job done. This was great, I think that cold open and never really getting the full picture worked well with the bizarre threats they were dealing with.

I didn't program this ambience audio to play here. Uhm... I have no idea why that's happening. I just opened my steam copy and it doesn't do that. ... I'm sure there's a logical explanation. 14:30 It's playing again... Weird... I don't know what's causing it but, I might know a fix. 35:25 Oh uh, when she says "Don't show fear in it's presence." That's more of her thinking "Ok, don't show fear, if it senses fear it might attack... Whatever this thing is..." Maybe I could've been clearer on that.

I hope Hector makes it into the next game. It’s refreshing to have a character that isn’t fearful or selfish in SCP scenarios like this.

Okay the ending made me really sad. Hector's lie to save her got me in my heart, and her finding out that his sacrifice was in vain since she's all alone in the end anyway is OOF

Im only a couple minutes in but I love how deliberate the scp guy's words were when he said his goal changed from escaping to "getting you out of here", for someone who doesn't know what scp is about it seems like the employee's on your side

Kind of a shame that the game's so short, I actually got super invested in these two... Actually surprised as well that the solution to the hand puzzle wasn't to lug the dead body over and use the hand from that instead, or that the monster in the facility wasn't revealed to have swapped places with Hector after you hear it approaching him from the vent or something; kind of a twist of its own to play both those scenes fairly straight in the end, in a way

Reeeally hope Hector's gonna be okay. And maintains his humanity the next time he shows up...also, what's with the MC? She was okay until she got transported and she felt stunted, but then she gets out of that dimension into a world that ISN'T hers and suddenly she grows more eyes? And why did she look so distressed about no longer being "stunted?" And why are there no signs of sentient life at Hector's place of work? Or even in the general vicinity? And WHAT is the deal with all them eyes that opened up on her face?? WHY ARE THERE MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS?!

I wish Alagossa had been able to save Hector; hoping for a sequel where she goes back for him. It would be a really good story for the guard to save the monster because she's not hostile and then she repays him by using her powers to go back and save him. (And kill all the hostile things.)

The ending reminds me of the scp “O’ Death”. Maybe whatever containment failure happened in the facility let some scp out of containment that caused a similar effect (immediate cessation of all life on earth).

I wonder why they couldn't drag the body over to the door to use its hand. I mean, if they were willing to spend 30 minutes slugging away at the door with a sledgehammer, you'd think dragging a body wouldn't be beyond them.

I saw the title and was like “either Manly is going to die or deploy all the rizz he has on this monster girl- probably both.”

Y'know you could make a whole game for Harold and him going deeper into the facility and surviving. He'd just need some way to see for gameplay reasons and maybe a hook for his missing hand.

Oh no, 15 minutes in and I already too attached to Hector.

my theory is that the main charater is some sort of scp that is connected to the facility, because at the beginning they go to the tunnel noting that they won’t be returning to work and that the tunnel feels like home. also at the end she “no longer feels stunted” growing more eyes which may or may not be a coincidence with hectors lack thereof.

6:07 Oh my god this really caught me off guard, especially how Manly read the line LMFAOO I binged SCP stuff a long time ago, I'm sure there's a lot new now, but I think some of the stuff found in the background of this place are references to SCPs, like the weird vending machine, the mint-smelling plant, etc. Nice to see that effort :)

My worst fears always come true when I think a character isn’t going to make it. Was really hoping Hector would be able to follow her through the transporter. And to find that she actually made it out, but found no one is sad. Might be interesting to have a side quest with Harold. Like, maybe Alagossa bumps into him while searching for others and the whole time, she can’t stand him while he tries to romance her. And she never refers to him by his name. Instead, she keeps referring to him with insults for names. But he’s completely okay with that, for some reason and keeps trying to be the hero.

I appreciate the hell out of Manly for doing his voice like that for Hector. Even if it's a simple thing, it made it just a little more extra for me.

I feel genuinely sad for Hector and Alogossa. Always love your rpgmaker playthroughs! As someone who also makes characters, very intrigued by the lore and worldbuilding. Excited to see more!

The fact that it said "no longer stunted" makes me think Alagossa's "original" world was some artificial man-made environment the vampires were pushed into, where they can't awaken their powers/bloodlust and hurt anyone.

Wow I didn't know someone made a RPG horror about the SCP universe but it's really cool!

This is basically a backrooms game from overhead 2D. I like the idea of that or adapting backrooms into a multiplayer format: try and make having company/friends a liability instead of a comfort.

You know I actually found this game a long time ago on Steam, it’s free and it looked interesting, so I played it. And I fell in love with it immediately, I loved the mystery surrounding it, how odd the world was, and the characters, I loved the characters the most. But after I finished it, I figured that would be the end of it, it was very niche and not many people seemed to notice it at the time. Still I loved it and it stuck with me, I would check back with the creator from time to time to see if they made a sequel or an update. I just had to know what happened to Hector. But when I saw you posted a playthrough, I got ecstatic. Finally, the game can truly gain a following now! It’ll get the love and attention it deserves! So what i’m trying to say is... thank you, from a fan of the game to you. Thank you for putting a spotlight on such a small but lovely game, I only the hope the internet looks as fondly upon it as I once did when I first played.

2:53 I mean TO BE FAIR, from the uniform he looks like a Mole Rat, and they generally face VERY gruesome fates, to seemingly very much harmless things. And the fact that he lost parts before also suggests that he is a Mole Rat 50:11 GREAT WAY TO *DASH OUR HOPES* GAME DEV

It is honestly refreshing that there wasn't any real 'haha, gotcha' twists to this. Assuming Hector is human, pretty much all of this made sense in terms of just how it all went. He's used to anomalies, at least so far as he's got some experience with weird things being do not touch, weird instances of injury being immediate cases of 'don't do what I just did', and accepting that the only way out is through no matter the cost. This mixed with enough humanity, or lack of SOP, to consider the clearly inhuman of just as clearly helpful individual worth getting to some level of safety makes the story really engaging over the usual things that happen in these where you're constantly having to wonder who's going to betray who, who's not revealing all that they know, etc. Even at the end, where Alagossa starts to 'change', there's enough of a mundane feeling to the setting that it's either something she didn't expect, know of, or know to tell Hector of rather than some major twist, and even then it was something that we were expecting in KNOWING she was different from the people who's world she was to be sent to, now without a chaperone.

This entire game reminds me of that Touhou/SCP crossover picture of a sad Flandre and dead soldiers in an elevator. 🤣 Just google Flandre SCP, and you’ll see what I mean. I personally interpret that scene as the soldiers escorting Flandre until a random monster attacked them. Poor Flandre just wanted to chill with her SCP soldier “friends”.

I LOVED this. Amazing take on the anomalous. Especially Hector's eye loss. The anomalous is dangerous. In the blink of an eye (see what I did there?), you lose a limb, a sense, your mind. I love it. The small anomalies, like the books or the candle, are easy to understand, but really freaking out, which is what the anomalous is all about. This shows a true understanding of, not only the SCP foundation, but its whole genre from the developper. Perfect horror. Perfect story. Again, I love it. Definitely underrated.

I hope Alagossa is used as a character in a future project. I like the kind Monster Tomboyish girl, that good-hearted.

Honestly, this is probably one of the better RPG games out there. I never really play RPG games because I'm just not generally into their style but this is relatively good than most.

Hector knows better than to pick up a rubber duck in a dungeon.

Im only 11:25 in bur is Hector just. Never going to mention to his recorder the civilian hes got with him is most likely from an alternate dimension??? This feels pretty vital to something like recordkeeping and reports
