Explore the magic of ENGLISH VILLAGES IN SUMMER// In today's video we're exploring the most beautiful chocolate box villages in Rutland. We start with Castle Asbhy Gardens in Northamptonshire because it hast the most gorgeous orangery that we really want to share. After that we walk through the picturesque village Castle Ashby and then finally drive to Rutland to explore hidden gem villages and places like Harringworth, Exton, Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue and Hambleton that look picture perfect. I have to thank you for reminding me that this kind of England still exists. The crazy thing is that, although I live in Southend, by the Thames estuary and it's a short journey to rural Essex , where there are attractive locations, fairy tale thatched cottages and old villages, I hardly ever go there. I need to explore a bit more.

I’m so glad you decided to film a video on Northamptonshire and Rutland, I have always called that region the “second Cotswolds” for their countless examples of stunningly beautiful villages made of warm stone (from pale pink to deep burnt orange), with roofs of thatch or Collyweston stone slate (like the cottage at 21:21). This is a very underrated region for its beauty that many do not realise exists (plus not to mention the huge number of aristocratic houses around the area too). Beautiful video, thank you so much.

Superb - the most wonderful orangery and the Yew Tree walk were so lovely to see. Excellent photography also, smooth and calming. Such an enjoyable video, thank you SO much! ❤ l am now going to plan a trip to Rutland Water this summer. Did you know there is a pair of beautiful Ospreys nesting there (just for summer season) on the lake? If you ever visit there again, do keep a look out for them flying around.

I love Castle Ashby Orangery too. A few years ago I took my 4 year old nephew there - he spent ages standing next to an old Wheel Barrow, on his own, that was in a corner. He was really excited after we left, telling me he had made a “New Friend” with “the Boy” who “worked in the gardens”…….His description of the boy and the conversation about “men and horses” going to “War” confirmed for me that he’d communicated with The Past💫❤️

Kirsten, I'm so happy to see the both of you again. I have missed you guys so much. I have been watching your old videos the past few weeks, and I watch the video of you guys making the strawberry tart with your lovely mother telling you that the tart is perfect. ♥️ Gracias por este tour de pueblos tradicionales , me encanta la majestuosidad de sus casas,los jardines y el colorido de las diversas flores , rosales que les gusta cultivar y da ese ambiente particularmente pintoresco. En Bogotá, Colombia hay varios barrios que se construyeron con arquitectura inglesa en décadas de 1930 a 1950 por personas de clase alta, como Teusaquillo, La Merced, Quinta Camacho, El Nogal , El Retiro, Bellavista y que aún después de tantos años conservan tradicionalmente la arquitectura.

Wow, definitely one of your most visually spectacular videos, really beautiful! Each bit of outdoor scenery was like a lovely painting. For me, the orangery images were particularly striking. And it looks like you had perfect weather for it. Once again it feels like I've been there.

I love all your videos, but I could punch the air when you do 'off the tourist trail' places. Oh my dears what a most beautiful town! I truely am somewhat jealous of this trip the grounds a just lovely! I know you both will have a wonderful trip.
