Petition to name any cauldron familiar +roots combo as "catnap" moving forward Also, for dealing with leylines I reccomend Skyfisher spider, either in main deck or in the sideboard. For 2GB you get a 3/3 with reach, when it enters you may sacrifice another creature. If you do, destroy target nonland permanent. On top of that, when it dies you may exile it and gain 1 life for each creature in your graveyard. So you get removal, on a creature (so other ways to put out of the graves trigger roots), that once you don't need the removal can still be used as a sac trigger for Stuff you do need in the graveyard for the loop (assuming the leyline is already out ofc) that if removed will give you lifegain AND a root trigger. Feels like a win win. Also it's standard legal, for those wanting to do a deck in that format
i love the video, and btw you could put some musics in the background, like a lofi ou something like this.. Annd i think you can play just 1v1 match, bc in this way u can show the deck against anothers matchs more quickly
would you consider to build around 'Scourge of the Skyclaves'? I currently try out shadow archtype in explorer, and it would be interesting and appreciate to see your approach. As always, thanks for contents!
I played spells that could both dig for and trigger roots, at the cost of having less instant speed interaction. So far this is the list 4 Trail of Crumbs 4 Cauldron Familiar 1 The Meathook Massacre 2 Wrenn and Realmbreaker 4 Insidious Roots 4 Mosswood Dreadknight 2 Seed of Hope 4 Witch's Oven 3 Gilded Goose 3 Mortality Spear 4 Willow Geist 4 Rubblebelt Maverick I think it's a good archetype, absolutely explosive if left unchecked, sadly temporary lockdown is a card that exists :) It will be worth to try it again when UW control becomes less popular on the ladder!
