Oh I wish we could get the history on this plantation. I love old houses that were built during the 1860s. Anything to do with the Civil War is very interesting to me.

It’s part of history. Pretending slavery didn’t happen, won’t erase it. And how do you know for sure that there were slaves here? Maybe a northern family relocated to the south to make money on growing cotton or tobacco. Maybe they brought paid servants. But in the end, we must preserve and learn from history.
