Come take a look inside this amazing millionaires mansion, I kept the camera rolling as much as possible without cutting too much to try and give some kinda scale to this huge estate. Hope you enjoy the video.
Hi Susan, like you say, just imagine it in its day, the pool area with a huge roaring fire and a fully stocked drinks and food pool bar would have been great. It’s a complete mystery why anybody would just leave it to fall to pieces like that. . . . . . . Thanks for watching:)
So much expensive detailing all over the house, so obviously alot of thought must have gone into planning everything.. Who walks away from something like this?
That treehouse though! I could so sit on that deck on a Fall day and lay my head back staring up into those tall trees, smelling the woods and cool air. Getting lost in the kaleidoscope of golden sunlight in the tips of the limbs of trees.
Thank you for the explore. What an AMAZING place, so beautiful! It kind of gives me a sad gut ache (no other way to describe it) that it's been left to rot. I really wonder what happened.
Hi Jan, I know what you mean about a sad gut ache, it’s such a shame that a place this nice has just been left to fall apart like that, it must have cost a fortune, even the land it’s on must be worth a lot of money as it’s in a really expensive part of London. Hopefully someone can save it before it falls down:) Thanks for watching
Forgive me if you mentioned this. I didn't hear it. But, do you have any idea when the place was abandoned? Did you find any calendars, newspapers, anything?
Can't understand why the owner has just up and left it to rot if they couldn't afford the upkeep they could of sold the place. It's very strange why anyone would leave such a valuable property.
Granted it would take a good chunk of change, especially since the estate has plenty of mold, but it would be worth it if someone who had the money and fell in love with the amazing architecture and grounds, saved it. It would be so worth it! Absolutely stunning!
Give me the place, the exact address and I find you the year of construction, the name of the architect, the name of the various owners, the year of the departure of the last owners, the function that this superb property had and the reason for the abandonment of It. Maybe even other equally interesting information.
Let's give "This Old House" a shot at it. This had to be décor from as late as the 70's. I love that pool. It doesn't take long for a home to turn to shit once abandoned. Thanks for sharing.
@@stare6711 Come on stare. Where is it located? Let your viewers know and if you don't want to find out previous owners and history, then at least let your viewers figure it out. We have computers.
@@RA-fb2qu Hi, this mansion is in an area of London in the UK called Ascot (Famous for its horse racing track) its one of the wealthiest areas in the UK and the private estate it’s on with other huge mansions is also private, google earth couldn’t even get permission to do street view there:) Thanks for watching
This estate is amazing and overwhelming I bet only 4 people lived there the decor is a bit tacky but none the less still stunning. I wonder how often they went into every room and if they forgot about some rooms but the biggest question is why was this estate abandoned.
Hi ss, yes thats the question everybody would love to know the answer to. . . . . . . Why is it left abandoned, some think it might be drug related and the family had to suddenly leave??? Thanks for watching
Can't believe you didn't know about the secret room in that house!! It's on the 2nd floor of the library (I believe) Check out some of the other explorers videos on this place. It was great seeing it from another perspective.
For those asking about the past of the house. In another video I watched a few months ago they explore the same place.Apparently the owner was a wealthy Saudi who built the place to turn it into one of the retreat homes and have wild parties inside. What happened after that it's a mystery.I don't know if it's true or not, just writing what I heard.
@@dominiquebrown5931 to drink it? As an investment? If he's Muslim, he could still drink. They aren't supposed to, but some still do. It could also be for entertaining, for guests to drink.
@@dominiquebrown5931 plenty of Saudis drink, plenty more collect wine, even if they don't, and no one builds a multi million dollar home without one, it's just one of those things you include, even if unused.
Hey Nathalie, yes I’d also love to see this place done up and once again lived in by a family. Hopefully you will win the lottery one day and purchase the place:) Thanks for watching
I can't even imagine living in this beautiful home/mention let alone abandoning it. With so many people around the world needing homes and so many of the thanks. And people that have so much money just throw it away. Instead of abandoning it why not give it to someone that with truly treasure it. By the way I love your channel. It doesn't have all these large intros before you actually see your video.
Hey Astrid, yes I agree with you, why can’t this place be given to a charity so they can sell it and use the money to help people:) Thanks for watching
Looks like a couple of parts in the ceilings are fire damaged ? maybe that's why the unfinished red fire alarm cable instal is so crude , the custodians might be having it fitted to protect it while it`s empty , just a theory ?
I would love to know what people lived here (What. country is it?...AMERICAN flag bathroom!!! And why did they just up and leave? And where does ond find TEAL toilets, sinks, and vanities? Very exotic taste!!! The custom designed to please and dascinate SELF...I just hope and pray the children were happy, nurtured, and loved!!! Thank you for an exciting tour...❤👍

“There’s having money and having taste ... then there’s having money and having No taste” ... my thoughts exactly !! Sometimes rich people choose the most gaudy, tacky, kitschy, ostentatious crap ... thinking they’re outdoing their neighbours, but in reality it becomes a competition for who can achieve the pinnacle of gawd-awful flamboyance. Design is a lot like spice ... add some subtle flavour and it becomes delicious, add too much and it spoils and overwhelms the dish.
I The only "gaudy" rooms look like they could be kids' rooms, based on their size...I don't get how there are palm trees in London-is it that warm there all year? no
Gale You're absolutely right. I worked part time for a buddy that did interior remodeling. It's crazy what one sees in some multimillion dollar estates.
Hola Gabriela, yes this was a pretty cool place to explore, it’s always nice to get to see inside huge mansions to see how rich people live:) Thanks for watching
i hope that you will consider using a respirator in these places with the black mold. it can cause all kinds of breathing problems by breathing in the molds. be safe in your explores. i enjoyed this video.
@@stare6711 you"re welcome. i just care enough about people and dont want anything bad to happen to anyone else. a family i know of had a severe experience with mold and it was an awful experience for the husband wife and their young child. their story can be seen on you tube in the case of called " breaking the mold ". its an forensic files episode. thank you for your explores and as always please be safe. .
Hi Susan don't mean to intrude on your conversation but was curious about the breathing situation of the family you mentioned and wanted to check out and look for the story on RU-vid as you stated because I know someone who experienced the same thing and developed breathing problems due to a landlord who knew the mold was in the house and did nothing about it then downplayed it when the people got sick saying he didn't have money to fix the problem so now he wants to be tested for mold, his breathing is like a sinus infection needs spray now to clear nostrils for air its really bad the landlord is no more than a crook and trying to avoid a lawsuit.
You are brave! Walking up the driveway it does not look abandoned, the yard isn’t really overgrown! I appreciate your videos, thanks for sharing your adventures!
Hey PJ, yes it was a bit scary walking up that long driveway not knowing if it was 100% abandoned. Well worth the risk though as the place was amazing:) Thanks for watching
Well done video...very steady and well lit unlike other vids I see. Amazing tour of this place! My thoughts throughout the piece was how does one family utilize all that space? AND, the cost to maintain the entire estate must have been off the hook. Thanks again.
Hey Drew, yes its crazy how big and how much space this estate had, i still cant quite work out why its just been left like this, so strange. Thanks for watching
Donald Wood it must have taken years to build and millions of pounds! I have never seen so many expensive details left to just rot away. What a terrible waste of time and resources. It’s truly a sin! A lot of good could have been done with all that money instead.
It would be fab if you could walk us thru all the rooms and show their relationship to each other. What you've shown is loads of very interesting rooms and spaces, but they aren't linked up so you get the flow. Other than that, a most interesting effort.
Hi Chris thanks for your comment, I do usually explore places like you said showing the whole of the downstairs in one go and then the upstairs so the viewer can get an idea of the layout of the place. . . . . This house however was sooooo huge that I just couldn’t walk from room to room as I didn’t want the video to be too long, lots of the rooms were trashed with the ceilings falling down etc. Thanks for the advice though, much appreciated:)
Hey, I also agree with you, it’s a beautiful house with some really nice features inside too. Hopefully someone can buy it and rescue it before it completely falls down. Thanks for watching
There are photos of the inside and outside of this mansion With Boris and his wife and children. He owned this mansion with his previous wife. Look up Getty images numbers 163157606 and 163157602. Also on google there is a photo of him standing in front of the fake book shelves. Another picture of Boris in front of the mansion by the fountain in the video was taken by Tom Stockill, that says “CAMERA PRESS, Tom Stockill. There are several other photos of his wife and him walking and standing in front of the exact same mansion, plus news aerial footage of the entire mansion when he was found dead inside this exact mansion. So yes, he did own this mansion, and after his death the ex wife couldn’t even afford to pay the Gardner. I’m assuming his widow could not afford to take over as well, if the ex wife even agreed. Either way..it should be put up for sale.
I don’t understand why mansions be so big on the outside but when you go In it seems narrow and small . For it to be a millionaire you would think the entrance would be bigger with wider hall ways .? Do you agree
Heart-breaking! WHY would it be left to the elements like this. The damage already outweighs the prospects of salvage, I think. What a magnificent pool, fountain, tree house and grounds! It really hurts to see the house falling in from water damage. :(
Had to turn off,was crying for this poor millionaire and his empty swimming pool,no snooker table,no jacuzzi, only one spiral staircase.Whats the point of living rough like that?
What is it with these rich folks wasting millions of dollars to build these magnificent mansions just to later on abandon them and allow them to decay? Especially, when there are so many human beings in need of places to live in. Makes me so frustrated that there are so many of these places all over the world. Good video, however. Enjoyed viewing it. Thank yiu for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Tricia M. People have plenty places to live. The issue is where. People want homes to live in specific places. Rich people leave these places because they most likely lost the ability to take care of these houses.
@@wolverineeagle Yea like Rumson, NJ. Bruce Springsteen and Bonjovi got homes there. And a lot of celabeties from here. Sorry for the spelling. I'm not good at anymore.
The poor house is crying. Falling apart like that. What a shame. There always seem to be so much water damage. Why don’t they turn the water off when they leave? Seems like a lot of bad plumbers out there.
That’s well said, it does seem like the place is crying as you can hear the drips in some of the rooms. Unfortunately it won’t be long before the roof sadly collapses due to all the leaks. Thanks for watching
It's a beautiful house. But it's odd the pool is on the main level instead of the ground level in the basement. The ceiling was caving in over the area it was on top of. Everyone knows the weight of water makes anything heavier. Water damage is probably the pool. Made no sense to put it there.
Hi Bridget, yes your probably right about the pool, whoever designed this house also destroyed it too by putting it there. . . . . . Thanks for watching
If he dies mysteriously in 2013,how did so much water damage happen to this mansion? Why didn't his daughter sell it to another Russian seeing they loved this area..? so many questions ..Thank you for posting .
Hi Patti, yes your right, so many questions about this place. I’m not sure the owner was Russian though as the writing on the children’s bedrooms were in English and also a sign in the kitchen too:) . . . . . . . The plot thickens.
I love this, an absolute stunner, but am I the only one who thinks it was a swingers mansion and that tree house was not built for kids?? Just saying, looking at the evidence :-D
Hi Rachel, who knows what this place was used for, you could be right as something did happen there to make the owners up and leave suddenly. . . . . . . . .Thanks for watching
Superb coverage throughout! Kudos, guys. Interior decor is a mad mixture...what a cross between a Cairene hooker and Alabama trailer dweller would assemble if they were given a gabillion dollar budget. Not surprised at intel re Saudi owner provenance.
Hey Elizabeth, I love your description of the place it really made me laugh:) I’m not sure on the Saudi owner story as things in the house were all written in English? I’d love to know for sure though. Thanks for watching
Yes it was a pretty cool place to go and explore, just imagine getting outa that pool and being able to dry off in front of that huge roaring fireplace right next to it:) Thanks for watching
Hey June, yes watching the video back I did say that a lot but just couldn’t help myself at the time as I had no idea what this place was going to be like inside. Pretty cool explore though:) Thanks for watching
What a shame this beautiful place has fallen into such disgrace. It could definitely be repaired and would make a beautiful resort/hotel that a lot of people would enjoy visiting. It looked as though electricity was an after thought in some areas...but the bathroom fixtures were very modern...that seems like quite a contrast in times. I've just discovered your channel and look forward to more of your discoveries. Do take care...there could be danger lurking all around.
To spend and build all that only to lose it or abandon it for whatever reason such a waste but a blessing to the next person who acquires it but either way in the end you can't take none of it with you, what is it a man gain the whole world yet lose his very soul.
Hi Lisa, yes it does look like that with all that red cable everywhere, not sure what it’s for but it looks terrible left like that. Hopefully someone will be able to buy it one day and turn it back into a nice family home:) Thanks for watching
I'm looking for places like this to visit. I found a wildlife park barried in the woods i filmed for my channel but nothing else as of yet 😥 Would love to find a house in such good condition to explore. I'll keep looking though! Wish me luck 😀👍
Hey Red, hope you manage to find some more places to visit, its getting quite difficult to find them in good untouched condition these days as lots of them seem to get trashed quite quickly. Thanks for watching
@@stare6711 yeah it's a shame that trashers always seem to find these places before explorers. Well I'll keep my eyes and ears to the ground. If you know of any in South Wales pm me, I'd love to check them out once our 5 mile lockdown limit is lifted lol
@@stare6711 I have decided when my lottery money comes in that I am going to buy this and have it gutted and rebuilt top to bottom keeping the indoor pool as I like that. My husband is book mad and would kill for a library like that one :)
