One of the morgues at one of the hospitals I used to work at was dilapidated like that. The thing is that it's still in use. Two free standing fridges in the middle of this out building surrounded by what looked like an abandoned morgue.
That was a pretty amazing place to explore‼️ I love it❣️was great to see it hasn’t been destroyed by vandals or anything ‼️ awesome adventure for sure❣️thanx for sharing this❣️

Very interesting to see an old hospital which should be torn down because of all the mould etc. Maybe it has some kind of historical preservation order? There is a great comment by Luce B which talks about the black glove boxes being used for mixing chemotherapy chemicals. You also stumbled into a pathology laboratory with all those bottles and abandoned machines, a patient waiting area (not a staff room). I was surprised to see how small and basic the blood bank was. Looks like the chemotherapy, pathology and morgue were all in the same areas which is awful. Handy morgue right downstairs. Great for staff, not for patient morale!
Catrine when this hospital was closed down there was no damp it was in perfect condition but a very old hospital but as I have said the workmanship in these beautiful buildings will never be again buildings today are just thrown up there not built this hospital was for people with mental illness depression e.t.c a lot of the patients were moved out into the community then the hospital was closed.
Well, that was an experience. I've never seen a morgue with so many freezers so Wow that was rather creepy. I wonder if that place will ever get cleaned out and repurposed. It seems a shame that so much is left behind but then I probably wouldn't want to take anything with me knowing where it was from. Great video, thanks again.
Awesome explore! New fan, and subscriber. First time I have seen a hospital not destroyed by tagging yet, so much left behind its like you can almost see patients walking around. The morgue was nuts so many slabs they definitely had a lot of deceased bodies at least 30 at one time max. Thankfully no client paperwork records of scans of even blood work was left laying around like other abandoned hospitals so they took a lil pride in closing
Hi, the glass boxes with black gloves are used to prepare medicines which can be toxic for the staff to be prepared without gloves or which must be prepared in a sterile manner such as chemotherapy medicines (Cancers). I am a nurse . Also handsome young man, I strongly advise you to wear a mask in all your explorations. You and your friends. Mold can make you very sick. Keep up the good work ... I hope it's understandable, because (Google translation)

That was a great find! Wish they didn't leave so much equipment behind in the labs...could have been reused somewhere else I am sure, even if it was in a country that really needs it. Sad to see it going to waste, the NHS must have money to burn 😳 Looks like the 3 large mortuary tables were taken or weighed in, they would have been solid stainless steel. Good work, loved it!
Hi Wendy, i know what you mean about the equiptment, it really should be given to other places that would have a need for it. It was a shame the 3 mortuary tables were gone but as you say they would be worth quite a lot of money being stainless steel. @Catrine Rua Obviously...and that is why I said "Lab" and not "Mortuary" equipment. There is no reason why the glass cabinets, the atomasters and other stuff couldn't be reused...not to mention all the desks, chairs and counters. If it was such a biohazard as you claim it would have been ripped out pronto!! There is mould visible there, it's been empty for a good while.

Thanks man I’m glad you enjoyed the quick tour, it was pretty big for a morgue as it was part of a huge old hospital, guess they needed that many spaces for the bodies back in the old days as they didn’t have much medicine back then so people died of much less than they do these days. Stare I was a nurse for thirty three years and I tell you whitchurch hospital should never have got shut down but you have more courage. Than myself I wouldn't go in a mortuary on my own and I have gone to mortuary a million times in my working life but on my own never always with porters try and wear a mask fungus that grows in these places you really could breath it in its the same in any old damp buildings
Loving the videos mate , I've been doing this since the mid 90's and it all started with a place called hellingly mental hospital.. back then it was all there untouched all bar the ravers from the era but no reall damage or fire damage and zero security as it was in the middle of nowhere,that led to me getting my driver's license and going all over the country to see old asylums and mansions but RU-vid wasn't a thing and phones didn't have cameras lol then I got my firearms license and had to give up the exploreration nights with my mate and then I watch these videos and think hmmm 🤔 shame people take the lead from the roofs because within 3 years the floors go and 3 rears later the walls loose integrity and make it dangerous,I wish I wore a mask back then though ☺️😳

There is a very unsettling feeling in this building. Did you feel any of the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? Creepy. I had to chuckle when you said you’d forgotten which way to go…..I said “careful to remember where you started out!” And you heard me!!!! haha.

Why didn't the alarm go off, me and the bro went in at night trya catch some paranormal activities on video and we set the alarm off so we couldn't fully explore the hospital.
We only explored the morgue and not the rest of the hospital, I’m glad we didn’t if it has alarms fitted. Shame you guys didn’t get to explore the whole place. Thanks for watching
Was it a big city hospital? That might account for the size of it and the need or so many refrigerations spaces. Was that mold on the outside of the doors? At least you didn't run into any stiffs, at least not any dead ones. The flowers on the exam table was a nice touch.
Those things with gloves & the glass door thing but went into other room was that for transplants the things with gloves was to wash sterilise organs. Then pass threw glass cupboard to patient getting organ I think. That be my guess could way off.👍☘🇮🇪Godbless🙏
They are the same fume cabinets that are used in any chemical lab. There is a comment above from a nurse saying that these were where chemotherapy chemicals were mixed. The other room with the weird looking electrical stuff was a very outdated pathology lab.

All the money that was spent on whitchurch hospital and they still shut it down the same as Cardiff royal infirmary a beautiful hospital closed down the nhs are building hospitals but will they last as long as these two I doubt it very much these hospitals could still reopen with a bit of money spent on them

My uncle used to be the Mortuary Technician at our local hospital for 30 years. He loved it. My Auntie, his wife could talk for Britain and he used to say the quietness of the Morgue was the only thing that kept him SANE to go home and face another evening's yakking! Thanks all you dead people! 🤣🤣🤣
no. If there are no wounds on the skin its completely pointless. the LUNGS tho. might wanna. However, a regular mask doesnt do anything, as good as nothing. You need an actual respirator w filters
