As soon as you said artist home, I figured it was this one. My favorite home. This place is gorgeous. I wouldn’t change anything unless it was necessary. Love the red & white kitchen, the sun rooms, that gorgeous ceiling of course. My dream home.
I knew that house looked familiar, then when you showed the sinking floor/sunroom, THAT sealed it. I remember you going through this house before❤ Beautiful place and perfect 80s and MCM examples. Thank you Ethan, loved it AGAIN ❤
It’s on its way down and it saddens me to still see so many items that can be salvaged. Appliances light fixtures and beautiful wood. I wonder why they didn’t do that? Thanks for sharing Ethan, your videos are always a treat! ☮️💟 Nana
You were saying for the sunroom looking area you thought it was or could be an add-on My in-law's house is pretty much design the same way with that style window and the interior the brick with an exterior window on the interior their sunroom was actually a swimming pool that opened up to the outside and then they did this killer edition and the swimming pool was on the outside but basically a lot of the features and that house remind me of their house from when they built it in the '60s changed it in the '70s to the '80s to what it looks like now I love your videos they're really spot on
God, I would move into that house, as is!! Ethan, I have watched you for quite awhile now, and you are my favorite abandoned house explorer!!! Good work, kiddo!!!
Yes, I remember this house well. I loved it! I can’t believe it’s being torn down. How sad. I guess it’s true what the say, “time marches on.” I’m sure the people that lived there very much enjoyed themselves. I know I would have 😊 Thanks for the re-tour!
I love this. Home. Thank you Ethan for showing it before. It looks like it would need some foundation work. Lots of HUGE rooms. I will shed a tear for it going away. God bless to you Ethan. Stay warm, healthy and safe. 🤗💛
I don't know how I could have forgotten about this magnificent home! It is way up there, if not at the very top, of my list of favorites! I think the entire home is a total masterpiece, made up of so many beautiful pieces of architectural art, in addition to the literal works of art as well! It is truly stunning!🤩 ✨ The property is as amazing as well, with so many interesting aspects to it. This place was made for entertaining and enjoyable living or even as a serene retreat. It is truly sad this place will be wiped away! It would be an incredible dream to win a lottery of some sort, and have the opportunity to purchase and save it! Thanks for the incredible revisit to amazing place, one last time! ✌️
@43:23 In the main sunroom, I like the pattern on the ceiling of the curved surface. That room is spectacular. I could see myself spending a good deal of time in that area.😊
What an amazing home. Nice find. So sad. It’s going, the jauzi is a rare find. So much room. The land is beautiful with the pool. It has no bad things done to it, that’s rare. Keep up the great work, I really enjoy your videos ❤❤
Hello Ethan! What a weird built house! I do like the hallway of closets! All houses need that space, so that was cool! The laundry kitchen combo was odd! I think that room was a gym and the long room next to it was a recreation room. The house is still in decent condition! That checkered bdrm was huge 👀 The foyer is beautiful! Sad they are tearing down these old homes
This is the weirdest layout of a house I ever did see. It almost looks like it could’ve been converted into offices for something. I think that part you said they added on used to be curtains, it looks to me like it’s part of the awning from the outside, they were trying to hide when they added on the room.
What a great explore - Thank you It would be interesting to learn the backstory of this enormous party place! I am sorry that places like Habitat for Humanity can't use some of these super-expensive furnishings!
This floorplan must have very popular. I remember you did a house with this floorplan. I like the mid century modern house I grew up in one much smaller lol than this
thank you Ethan i can now have closure everything is now revealed. Its Party Mansion infact you could hold different parties in dozens of rooms upstairs, downstairs, outside in the gardens, on the pool deck, in the pool shed, above the hot spa, and now that 3 car garage with all the floor to ceiling windows reveals to me that they could have partied in there as-well with dozens of toilets i would be surprised. Some points i hazard a guess the sunroom upstairs was already built outside deck originally connected to the above the spa deck but they decided to enclose the deck overlooking the pool to make a sun room. below the sunroom area was an outside pool entertainment area because that brick is already featured on the exterior. They enclosed the outside pool entertainment area with windows and sliding doors. Unfortunately John angel in Spanish its Juan Un-hel dream is not someone eleses. Unfort the Master bedrooms either side on the kitchen side or on the other end dont have huge walkin ward robes thats unacceptable one could delete a bedroom to make a walkin. I have a sneaking suss that the checked bedroom with the jack n jill was two bedrooms made into a large one. The wood panel room at the front was a coat room for the parties, i cant work out the spa at the front door unless it was meant as a mud room for the owner Pooches to wash em. I bet the dip in the kitchen was due to being too much weight i bet the number of people swanning around that kitchen area you could have a kitchen servory on the large kitchen table the kitchen musta babe been different back then as the glass display shelves next to the microwave must have been a thoroughfare and with the renos of the 80s they closed the thougherfare with the glass cabinets and a serving counter thats something you see in a commercial kitchen ie the rectangle window cutout opposite the second set of stairs. That bottom kitchen was a party kitchen that counter space and cupboards a servery for downstairs cupboards full of plates and cups for days. But otherwise sad this one is going its got character its easy to delete the renovations and return it back to standards. Oh well such a waste.
You would think the cabinets above the kitchen island, finished in high gloss reminiscent of private jet cabinetry, would have been made with curved corners, a feature also seen on jets and yachts.
Love this house! I really appreciate the outside view, it shows the house's true unique mid-century custom mansion beauty! Of course I understand why you wait until after the demo. What a beauty😍 My first thought was batting cage too! Take care, stay safe, keep urbexing & God bless! 💞 Kat
Ethan, thank you for the video of the front of the house. I think it means so much because it is the front of the house that sells it for people when they are buying. You look at the front of those mansions then want to see what is inside. Great job! These vids you have done recently are your best in my opinion. You are really nailing it!
Isn't that the house that has been condemned because the end of the house is falling in a sink hole or it dipping down on the end, or something? You guys that do this follow each other looking at the same houses..did you know that? This house has been seen by atleast 5 guys..and they have already posted alot of the same ones..No problem tho because alot of people don't have the same explorers to view..it is a beautiful house and I don't think it would have to be torn down because of the place sinking...jmo
Beautiful home, I would have loved to see it in its hay day. Go Dodgers we have Ohtani and Yoshu which you probably already know. See you on the next one
Thank you Ethan i really love how this home was built with all the love:)Im so thankful you did this showing twice:). Love you to Ethan you stay healthy and warm.:) Barbie NWP,Fl.
What a vast place. The 80s wall lights in the sunroom were just stunning. So gutted we are losing yer more history and proper quality in the name of ‘progress’. Great video Ethan
I hope they're going to salvage a lot of this stuff because it'd be terrible didn't just chuck it in a hole what does barely anything wrong with this house so shame they're pulling it down it's a beautiful home
This unique and amazing house. Love the sunrooms. Love the sunken basement room with fireplace and bar. Who could ever forget the incredible entry room with the paintings and the “dome”. I lost count of bedrooms and bathrooms. That red sink in basement a bit of the unexpected. The backyard and pool and sitting area all so peaceful. I see no reason this house should be destroyed. It wouldn’t take too much to make it perfect again. The kitchen sunroom would have to be rebuilt stronger and better supported. I think the only way to stop this needless destruction would be a very large MegaMillions winning ticket enabling one to be the top bidder and then to restore. It would be amazing even to save one home in a lifetime. It saddens me that so few see the value in restoration vs demolition. Thanks Ethan for sharing this again just ahead of its untimely ending. Take care be well stay safe and warm!
There are so many lovely things that could be salvaged. Habitat for Humanity would love to get a lot of those items. French doors, wood trims and the lights... Love all the lights.. I'm coming back for the awesome red sink in the "butler's kitchen". That's what I'm calling the red kitchen. Love you. Thanks for all you do.
Totally amazing .thank you Ethan for taking back there...unbelievable that they taking it down..all that hard work and money building it ,only fir it to come down...😭...makes my heart break 💔...stay safe Ethan, well and happy 💋
I wonder what they really find in their finds of doing abandoned homes i always wonder whats the best thing they ever find .Thank you for sharing i enjoy yours and another .Again thank you
Sucks this beauty will be gone soon. Do appreciate the return before its gone Ethan. We love you too Ethan. What a bummer for this house. I saw that sinking room. Bad idea to build that addition. Think we will see any demo photos Ethan? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Ethan I liked the jacuzzi and the swimming pool also the twisted staircase the very small bathroom downstairs seen video before but I'm watching it again I've pressed the like 🔘✅
Ethan, thanks for all the likes. Was waiting for a new one... And I would like to help you learn the home improvement?desing biz You would be just right. You already know more thhan most young guys. so let Me hlp you, Bro. Think/know you will like, and be good!
Gosh, that skunkin conversation space in the basement really looks like it may have been a swimming pool. I was thinking that right away, then you found beautiful stone under the cheap flooring. Hmmm... 🤔
I will never understand a bath in an entrance to a house . Ive seen your previous vids here but still see new things each time . The woodwork in this house is still my favorite thing sorry its all gone now . Thank you for the tours xx
It's in case you come back from somewhere and need to use it urgently. You don't have to run through the house to find it. We had an architect from my parent's old church in Phoenix build a huge extra room onto the house, and he put a bathroom right up by the front door. I don't know if they asked him to or it was something he suggested.
@anastasiae.5338 interesting I get what you're saying I'd go more a mudroom at back though myself . Toilet and sink I get just the thought of being in a bath by front door is strange to me . Thank you for replying xx
Crazy, spend a load of money into a home just to be destroyed 😞 make that make sense 😢 IDK beautiful 😍 though. Most couldn't afford a house like this. Even to rent.
Yes I do like that kitchen, if you don't see such any more is because they don't have the craftsmanship's or it cost too much. An artistic little nook under the stairs. A cockerel Ethan that is why he is big. Beautiful top to bottom house. beautiful mural on the walls I did not like that arched sun room, too much wood in the arch even though it was a very big area it felt claustrophobic. Thanks Ethan great video.
The black and the navy tile in the bathrooms remind me of my parents’ home. Theirs had black ceramic tile walls (half way up) and shower surround. The fixtures were yellow!
The demolition company owns the property at this point. Different companies put in a bid and the city awards it to the winning bid. In my city, we get a list of properties set for demolition. Then we have a chance to go onto the property and take what we want. (The demo company has no issue with it, as they are going to raze it anyway)
It's so awful they can't give some of this to habit for humanity to help someone else 🤔 it's crazy to me to see someone not take care of such a beautiful blessing that they were blessed with😭 I live in a home that is from 1909 I can't imagine
A W E S O M E explore Ethan . . . . . . I don't know about other viewer's but I miss the "WAT'S UP'S" at every mirror. . . . . . . your slacking my friend. . . lol lol lol lol lol
I can understand demolishing this home. It would have to be totally gutted to bring it up to date. So it would be easier and safer to rebuild. While the travertine tile is very nice. I would demo it. I do love the staircase
Strange house. Huge rooms and a lot of them have no defined purpose. There’s not one cozy room in the house. It’s just a huge meandering cold feeling house.
It's too bad it is being torn down. I don't think the house was designed very well though. It's huge, but feels like it is enclosed and not in a cozy way. I LOVE MCM and this just feels different. What a shame they cannot save at least some of it.
