I do agree with kids today. They dont even know what respect even is. But kids will be kids. Kids today dont adventure out of their homes because they wouldn't have their parents to do everything for them. So, I'm surprised they even get out to walk into something like this.
I totally agree , they are brought or dragged up in a throw away generation , once upon a time ppl looked after and cherished their belongings because things were built to last , and were'nt so easily replaced, today kids value nothing and have zilch respect 😡
Wonder if that's why I'm 58 and still have T-shirts that look good and still fit since I was about 11 or 12! We appreciate everything we have and my son does now also
You are correct too. Kids are so much more disrespectful now than what they were before trump became president, and before the pandemic even hit. It’s like the pandemic brought out more meanness in kids than ever. Kids have zero respect for people, or their property whatsoever. None whatsoever!
@kimwurstpeck4275 lol... I am with ya. I'm the same way. I was taught to take care of my things because they weren't gonna buy you another one to replace the one you didn't take care of. I also worked to earn money for the things kids take as granted. You learnt real quick to make things last as long as possible because you paid for whatever. Parents didn't play the spoiled rotten kids game.
People suck. The older you get the worse THEY get. YOU ARE RIGHT Ethan!! People don’t understand how “normal people” are raised. I could go on about this for hours! Thank you for being you AND please don’t change! 😊
Eight years old…I think I’m going to be sick. It’s crazy to me to have such a large master bedroom and yet a one-sink master bathroom. That doesn’t make sense to me. The damage isn’t your fault, Ethan, but it is certainly detestable. I agree that kids aren’t being raised right. They’re hardly being raised at all. The truth always hurts the most.
A lot of times, these vandals are angst ridden kids (suburban thugs) who live in the the same neighborhood or close by.. so their parent's home values are comparable.
This place was awesome Ethan! Thank you for taking us for a tour. What an absolute shame it’s going to be torn down. This is exactly the kind of place we need for our family! I live the fact that’s it’s “way out there” in the country too. If only……..
I totally agree with you about the vandalism Ethan. wonder how these destructive little punks would feel if they left their house for a while and came back to find their bedrooms had been trashed, all their most treasured possessions broken and destroyed with chair legs punched through the walls 🤬
You give the best abandoned house tours! Your speed and flow is comfortable to view and your commentary is pleasing to listen to. Stay you! Thanks for giving us a glimpse of these beautiful homes
I'm right there with ya Ethan. Every time I see a house vandalized I think WTH are these kids being taught. Definitely not respect or the value of a dollar. Very entitled kids these days. Beautiful place.
Thank you Ethan for taking all us with you on these massive beautiful homes that are going to get demolished m❤ We just had a huge snowstorm go through here in Wisconsin and single digits starting Sunday .i hope your doing well in Canada
Great video. At first I was really liking this house and thinking how cool it was. Then, as the video went on it just got wierder and wierder. IT seemed strange that half of the upstairs bedrooms seemed less renovated than the others and then there was that old bathroom. Then you went to the main floor and at first it all seemed new until you crossed into an alternate dimension and the old house reappeared, lol. So apparently it was an average sized house that someone came into money and more than doubled the size of with an addition. Its still so weird that they basically built a new house attached to the old house but doubled all the rooms (kitchens, bedrooms, etc). It started off cool, and then really started to give off weird vibes in the last 1/3 of the video.
I really enjoy watching your videos. And I do not mind you making comments about disrespect and destruction. The houses you have really loved seems to get found at some point. I am from your grands generation, but I see the beauty you see in all these places.
Another great adventure. Thank u. Love how you respect people's things. When u came up from the basement was someone sitting in the room by that window. It sure looked like it . Creepy.
I enjoyed this video Ethan. I agree with you that this house had an addition well now you found the blueprints. Some of the house still looks so modern such a waste to tear it down. Wonder if multi generations of family were living there with all of the separate kitchens or they really really like to eat haha but common if Italians were owners.
It's such a shame that this house is going to be demolished when it has been so recently renovated . I also hate vandalism and think that people who vandalise must have serious mental health issues . Loved this one, Ethan, and it's so cool you found the original plans for the house .
I appreciate you taking care of other people things! You replace a piece of furniture or an ornement, you close the cupboard doors... Nice house for a very large family!...
Regarding the vandalism, you are right! Kids who do that are not taught to respect things that are not theirs. We had our house vandalized by 2 teens and they caused over $100,000 in damages plus it delayed finishing building the house. Teach your kids right! Respect other people’s property!
Ethan you are correct, it’s all in how you are raised……. If the adults don’t like that phrase then they have issues that they need to take care of with their kids, grandkids, etc. Vandalism is a big sign of disrespect, not only for the owners of the property but also of the person doing it, they have no respect for their self and that follows from bad parenting. Keep life happening, thanks for sharing.
My grandma would always say 'hell' is not a swear word cause it's in the bible & she was a Baptist. 😅😅😅 It was definitely multi multi family that place. Can't imagine living in that!
I appreciate you going through the house and just picking things up and straightening the house up even though it’s not your mess. I swear people that vandalize things need help. 🤦♀️
Ethan, regardless it's good to tell those parents like it is. They are the same people who were complaining about the 1970 TV series "Starsky and Hutch" for being too violent. Great video, thanks!
One staircase with banisters, trashed and broken by idiots. This place is immaculate. Built in 2916 and abandoned last year, 2023. Should be put up for sale, and not on a demolition contractor's Jobsheet
How cool!! I could tell it was added to when you were upstairs… because of some of the features like the light switches & the old bathroom… It really is a shame that this happens to beautiful homes! I bet they were offered a pretty penny for it… sad! Thanks for sharing!
It really is a very cool house!!😎 I love the architectural style and the location looks great, I would totally to live in this one! The foyer is absolutely beautiful and the floor is stunning! 🤩 I loved the kitchen as well, the finishes nice. It was cool seeing the original kitchen and a lot of items. I think you're totally right about the house having an addition. It was kind of weird with the original doors being nailed to the wall. I guess it was like art or had sentimental meaning, but I think I would have tried to incorporate them somewhere where they would have been able to be used. Really cool explore! 😎✌️
This was interesting. Big beautiful spacious. Loved the walk outs and the main staircase, well to be honest, I liked both staircases. I loved the unique stripes. Maybe 1 family but another relation shared this house. (keep them all together under one roof) very different! Thank you Ethan
The doors and cabinets and shower stalls and all that trim. Omg is enough for someone to save. The blinds. Hurts my heart for that to be destroyed. The light fixtures are lacking for such a huge home
Ethan, I have watched you for quite some time. Just block the asses that say stupid and mean things... life is way too short to put up with assholes.. I'm 65, and Can call them as I see them!! You do a great job, kiddo!!!
The picture in the basement with the ladies in the big dresses looks like it came from Cypress Gardens FL. It was an amusement park with the ladies in the dresses all around. It’s now gone and Legoland is in its spot now.
Such an odd home! A lot of it doesn't seem to make sense. # kitchens??? I love the way that you are so passionate about these homes. And I totally agree about the vandals! Absolutely no respect!
A lot of familys are multi gerational in one house , it used to be more common but unfortunately isnt as common now . As for vandals they need catching and being made to work cleaning up repairing etc , might discourage the little devils .
That is a shame that it's going to be torn down and that people would vandalize the house. What would they think if someone vanderized there parents home like this?
An 8 bedroom house with an extra in the basement? wow, they must have been a big family.....Too bad all the money they spent will all be wiped out. All it needed was a ballroom & an indoor pool. cheers Ethan.
Ethan thanks for sharing another tour of a once loved home. Indeed stand firm about your morals regarding vandalism and the people who do it. I work in an sector which deals with this stuff sometimes. It hurts, it takes somebodies time - and funds to correct, and upsets those who care having to see it and fix it. I really hope a lot of things in this home can be repurposed. I think that was a Hoolyhock in that huge garage as already commented. So many out there without proper shelter, let us at least see some of this put to good use.
What a crime that so many homes are demolished that shouldn’t be. Is there really a need for another industrial park? Or is it just a way for the rich to become richer. It will just become more blight on a once beautiful landscape. This house was nice. Still liveable. I think that room to the right of the main staircase was probably the largest room I’ve seen in a house. Only one fireplace in such a large house was different. The part that became a sunroom was very strange the way it divided a window. Why? I do not nor will I ever understand why anyone thinks it’s ok to vandalize something that doesn’t belong to them. Such disrespect. Respect is a value that should be taught and practiced at home. Ethan you are so right about this and you stand out as always being respectful of the property you come in contact with. Also odd that with 8 bedrooms why would there be a need to set up another one in an unfinished basement?! You always share great videos, great homes. Thanks Ethan. Take care be well and always stay safe! Also all of those blueprints were really cool!
Ethan, can you possibly obtain a photo of the original house ... the doors of which are nailed to the wall of the one room inside? I would love to see one!!
24:52 I'm guessing it was probably one of those flat glass built-in fireplaces. Could have been electric. Just my guess. I enjoy your and Jeremy's videos.
You are so right Ethan some people today have no respect for others or anything ,It makes me wonder do they even have any self respect? So sad,Todays youth seem to Hate everything ,thei siblings, parents etc.I feel sorry for them in a way for not being raised to respect others property no matter what that may be.👍❤️🇺🇸
This is a tragedy. Sad such a gorgeous home will no longer be but soon enough the place will be filled with sadness of corporate greed no longer a home RIP
You are so totally awesome Ethan. I just love how you narrate these homes and have it torn down is such a waste it needs be lived by someone and Vandals need to be taught a lesson that shows such disrespect for someone’s property even though nobody’s living in it oh, and by the way, that wasn’t a weed plant that is hollyhock seed pods
That's a beautiful house. When my YT channel takes off and I become a millionaire I'm going to buy one of those Mcmantion homes😁. And you're right about the kids these days and young adults. I don't get why people go into these beautiful homes that are abandoned and vandalize them.
