Thanks For this. I started play with OBS.ninja a few weeks ago. And your enthusiasm for it has now solidified it as the Mechanism ill use for a show I'm creating.
I think it's a great tool to use. I was sold even before I learned about all the advanced features from Hal, but once he showed me those obs.ninja became a main tool for any kind of remote video sending/receiving I need to do.
You can set the advanced framerate parameter the same way Hal mentioned in the URL to 60fps, then as long as the internet on both sides allows, you should have 60fps!
OMG. I was just about to go on to the TD FB group and ask how people collaborate on projects because the frame rate is too bad on zoom. This looks amazing. Thanks :-)
Haha, Hal predicted your question :) It's really a fantastic tool and even without the advanced settings, it hands down beats zoom and skype, but once you turn on the advanced features it's hard to tell it's not a native webcam on your local system.
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ I just tried it tonight with my friend I'm collaborating with. I used TD Syphon Spout Out > OBS > OBS virtual camera > OBS Ninja. The picture and frame rate was way better than Zoom. This is without even trying the advanced OBS Ninja settings. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
@@jibberish666 You could also check out NDI Tools because they have a virtual camera app that lets you go from TouchDesigner -> NDI Out TOP -> NDI Virtual Camera -> OBS Ninja, which might be a lighter load in some ways compared to also running OBS!
How do you use a green screen without one with my iphone camera i am using with obs ninja and i was using zoom before but found this and wanting to remove the background and replacing it with with a picture of a green screen just plain green picture lol, and then be able to use my custom backgroud drops i have for my video meaning my camera so is this possible to do at all ?
Yup! How you approach it depends on what tools you have available. I really love the Nvidia Broadcast App if you have an RTX GPU, it does an incredible job of removing the background and letting you replace it with whatever you want, including a plain green background. Otherwise a depth camera like the iPhone or Kinect can also help create an effect where you cut out the person and can composite them on the green background.
So if I'm gathering what your saying about controlling multiple Webcams on a cpu. Essentially I should be able to pull both camera views from my atem mini pro, because I use the USB c to USB b on my laptop.
I'm not very familiar with the atem mini pro, but looking at their site, make sure you plug it into a USB 3.1 port (which is the same as USB 3 ports) and not a USB 2 port, and you should have some kind of web cam input, but it might just be the master output of the atem mini pro.

Hi Patrick! You can take the tox file from your file browser and drag and drop it into a new TouchDesigner project and it will be added to your project. You could also double click it and TouchDesigner will open a new project with the component inside, and then you can copy it and paste it into your own project.
I have been using OBS.ninja for theater events for awhile and it is great, but I have had issues where the guests video feeds are not as constant as they would be if they were using zoom. I am not sure how to fix this. Also, they say you can have up to 30 guests, but no matter which computer I use I can’t get more than 10 users without issues. This is using an internet speed of over 100mbps up and download on the directors computer. This makes it very difficult to use it for theater. What can I do to fix this and/or what specs are the computers that are getting more into the their OBS.ninja rooms?
Which browser are you using with obs.ninja? I think you'd want to use Chrome since it usually has "all the features" for web apps. Also are you on Windows of macOS? There might be platform specific tweaks we can make. And finally, are you building your own advanced links or using standard ones? It's also worth looking at the obs.ninja wiki and their FAQ to see if any of your issues are common ones faced by lots of users.
Absolutely, you can use it with any software that can embed web sources (like TouchDesigner and similar), although a lot of folks use it with OBS and then send it to another app from there, but it's also just a pretty reliable video calling platform!
So you can make multiple rooms and use different devices and then integrate that into multiple scenes and then turn on the cameras independently. Its fantastic. I could criiii.
Yup, you could definitely do that! It might get a little heavy on the CPU, but it will work! You can also try to change devices while in the single room, depending on your use case.

I got an iPhone to get good apps (I thought epoccam would be what I needed) but now obs ninja blows that out of the water with barely any latency at all even with android 7.0 devices. It makes it so you can literally have a sort of action cam available nearby which is going to be huge in the future for independent creators.
@@PeaceKeepingMissile that's an awesome use case of it! Especially since OBS.ninja can run over mobile data you can have the action cam not even connected to the same network! That's pretty awesome!

@@hallovemelt3690 are you taking the URL meant for OBS' browser source and using it with the web render top? Seems like I have to initialize /"hit play" on the feed, but cant with the webrender top, just the webBroswer container from the palette but that's real laggy
Yup, you can drop that URL right into a Web Render TOP. If you download Hal's tool that is linked in the video description I believe he has a preview Web Render TOP in the component as well. But I think the most stable option is to bring all of the sources into OBS since it's most stable and best performing. Then on each source in OBS you can add a filter that creates a dedicated NDI output stream for each source which is then very easy to capture in TouchDesigner.
You can try a few things. One would be to turn on the stereo audio then set the videodevice flag to be 0, which disables the camera, and then you can try the novideo flag as well. You could absolutely use this for a just-in-time rendering solution where you have a powerful server somewhere else rendering the content and streaming it directly to weaker computers that just receive the signal and send them to the screens.
If both machines are on the same local network, it should be pretty fast, but I'm not sure if OBS.ninja will work exactly like that. If you check the OBS.ninja wiki they should have those details in there.
