the solariums were always so beautiful at those old 80s restaurants, especially the arbys franchises which had tropical plants and two levels. very exotic for a fast food chain
I always remember a little old lady would work in the cashiers hut. They would only be out there during busy times and it was mostly closed in the winter.
Where I live they recently tore down our 80's McDonald's and replaced it with a gray, soulless, corporate shoebox. Sigh, at least we still have our OG Pizza Hut, even though the roof shingles aren't red anymore and they 86'ed the buffet during COVID.
@@makaveli087 I started doing research and you are 100% correct, McDonald’s made a push by 2022 to force all owners to upgrade to the “ experience of the future” look. So it’s not up to franchisees.
I was Born in 2000 when I could first remember going out with my family fast food places still looked like this around 09 they started remolding to all the modern designs who knew buildings can be such a good memory lol
I Miss How places like Burger King, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell looked in the 80s they had so much style, it was like a special event to go to one. I remember always feeling happy and enjoyed being in one of them, nowadays they’re so boring and look like Starbucks I don’t even go anymore.
Thank you for the tour of the old Burger King my God I miss the way the old Burger King used to be in everything about it back then the burgers were better and not cold like everything it is now back in the 80s was fun when I was young used to get a Happy Meal with a toy McDonald's wasn't the only one that had Happy Meals back in the 80s the burgers were bigger now they're smaller they had the real Grill not that flat ironing real the food was much better now it's not like it used to be everything is not like it used to be it tastes not that great like a used to be but the old Burger King was better the restaurant was better to sit down and it was more relaxing now it's more like a closet with cold food they don't make it hot like they used to I don't know why and that taste is not the same like I used to so seeing this old Burger King breaks my heart it was a wonderful restaurant bigger than they had now more comfortable more seats I miss it I really miss it thank you for the tour again I love the video I love the tour of the old Burger King
Its amazing how well the building owners are maintaining the building and the grounds. Hell the power is still on, and it looks recently cleaned on the inside.
The new fast food buildings are so boring and cookie cutter style. These old burger king buildings had so much character. Don't know what you have till its gone. Thanks for sharing!
That burgerking hasn’t even been redone some of the 80s stores been redone in the 90s only the lobby where you sit that one stayed classic all the 80: locations had there own theme now there all pretty much the same great video. Most 90s locations had to windows 88- stores down had 1 window sometimes 2 but most had 1
The one near me had that cashier out building but I don't think they ever used it.they renovated it and added a second drive thru lane but only 1 lane ever gets used. Also those atriums were disasters they leaked like a siv and would be roasting hot in the summer
You know I live in cincinnati ohio and when I was at tri county I saw that there was an old school burger king that was still open for business and I was a little surprised
Wow I forgot about those huts!!! I also remember McDonalds having glass conveyor belts in the 80s they were just figuring out the drive through and restaurant layout.
It's a shame I was able to find the property records that show it's been up for 5 years. If I had the money I would be more than happy to reinvest and franchise in it and keep its original look because I think the new look of burger king is ugly, however, I don't know how practical it is from a profit standpoint.
ive learned growing up that style and atmosphere was one of the keys to attracting customers. i am not a really big fan of the blandness of burge king and mcdonalds these days
your vids make me miss Michigan btw i miss BKs chicken fingers. they were deliciously spiced and rivaled McNuggets. theyre now chicken sticks and theyre garbage. they used to have real honey for sauce also and now they dont. BK ruined their chicken. those windows also were in old pizza huts. i miss those buildings too the new design is bland and clinical. why did they even need to do that

Now they have this garbage chicken sticks and they dont have honey anymore. wtf BK? Also the vegan burger is nasty, it tastes like feces. Bring back chicken fingers and the old fries from the mid 90s!!! Ahhhh"
