Hi everyone just an update this old Burger King is now gone and is in process of a remodel to the no frills shoebox style design . What you see in this video is now completely gone. I'm thankful to everyone who watched and this as this footage now preserved and documented.
A pity that they are remodeling it, they would have kept it with the original style of the 80s. The interior looked in perfect condition, it even looked much better than the modern ones of now
Wish all this companies started doing retro stores, it was such a nice era, 70's80's90's the best of them all, after 2000 things just started to go down hill in every aspect. I loved been a teen in those years, had a blast. 😉😉😉😉😉👌👌👌👌👌👌
Look at how beautiful it looks.. Even the grass...Dam I miss the way our country used to be.. Even if it's just an old fast food joint.. I'LL TAKE IT!!!
Awesome Video! Do you mind if I use a segment of this for my upcoming video “Defunct Burger King Menu Items”? I will give you credit in the video and the description.
Did you have to get management's permission first to film inside? Just curious when people stroll into a business nonchalantly filming it. I'd think they frown on that to protect customer privacy, and also because the video is showcasing how old it is inside.
Have you been to towns, houses, arcades, or bowling ally’s that is exactly the same like it was in the 80s where it feels like a second has not passed even when it was like 30-40 years ago?
I actually live in Bedford and not sure how old you are but there used to be a Grand Canyon of sterns road at that intersection and about 4-5’ wide trunk of a tree out front. I’m embarrassed to say I stay on the other side of Bedford but I’m pretty sure they didn’t tear it down. I could be wrong. They do that stuff quick but I swear they have scaffolding everywhere and a maze for the drive through. And really random because im obsession with urban exploration and history. I didn’t think I’d come across somebody local on youtube. Too bad I didn’t know you back then when I was over sine 16,000 square-foot mansion in the old West End. The Edward Ford house. A contractor friend of my dad’s did some cosmetics in the kitchen 15 years ago. Also, I feel like I know you by your voice.
@@-NateTheGreat I'm not sure of they still have the chairs cause I dont eat there much or go inside but i wanna say when i was there a few years ago they did and it's getting pretty run down so they may have made some updates... I know the one in maumee on conant still had the 80-90s touch too it too idk about anymore as it's been atleast 5 yrs
Lol, you made your video just in time. as of 2024, it is now the new look... It looks ugly as hell now... Like a funeral home... In my town in Canada, a new Burger King is currently in construction as of February 2024... It will obviously be the new model.
The only thing I'd do is change the exterior signs and repaint the roof to truly mimic the retro look. If Pizza Hut can do it, why not Burger King? I'm gettin' pretty tired of minimalism. While it's been a while since I've actually eaten there, I personally think the food quality should also improve. Not a fan of the fry recipe they've had for the past 10 years 😐 I may not have grown up in the 80s but I love, love, *LOVE* retro stuff like this.
This is my burger king, I've lived in this area since 1995 and it was sad seeing it remodeled. Up until the remodel at lunch time there was usually someone in that booth taking money (until I saw it for myself I too thought it was defunct). Maybe an idea for your next video is the last Pizza Hut restaurant you can actually sit and eat at on Secor in Toledo.
Why why why😭😫😫 why are they destroying everything old and beautiful and nostalgic??? I thought at least this one would stay so my kids get to experience 80s fast food chain just like in the movies!! Sorry man, your videos are absolutely painful to watch! Why is America destroying its own great old movie looking places?? This is a disaster!
I feel like every fast food restaurant in my opinion should've been left the way it was. Why would you wanna tear it down, and then box it. I feel like the older style fast food restaurants, were more exciting.
I heard that the owners of chain restaurants have to comply with corporate when it comes to remodeling, otherwise they will be shut down. I don't know much about this kind of stuff though.
