Beautiful. I'm a fellow urban explorer located in FL and I wish such architecture existed where I live. So many stories behind those walls. I've been to some interesting places, but nothing quite like that.

What a great opportunity to see something that could never be replicated in our day. Thank you for documenting this before demolition. I tried to get into a great cistern built in 1919 in Minnesota. We tried all possible routes but did bring the proper equipment to break in and lost the opp. They demolished it the next week. It was like a mini version of the dwarf halls in LOTR.

My favorite part is the auditorium. It's strangely surreal, seeing all those empty, decaying seats. I like the painting of Elizabeth Taylor on the wall as well. Honestly, this place doesn't seem as creepy as it does interesting and beautiful in a decaying kind of way. It's sad people had to dirty it up with ugly graffiti. I'm sure it was gorgeous during its use....

I hit the subscribe button. Though it hurt my soul immensely to see such a wonderful building in such ruin, I also found the deterioration of it spectacularly enchanting. I wanted to be there with you and get the real feel of the surroundings. Thank you for sharing this amazing exploration; that was super fun. I'm excited to watch the rest of your videos. So...Here's to hoping that all of your travels are exciting but safe so that I can enjoy the world's lost beauties with you as you share. :)

Excellent work. I follow a lot of urban explorers. The information that you provide about what we're looking at makes it the most valuable. Photos of what the place originally looked like--such as the one from 1907 you included at the end--are invaluable. I also liked the labeling. Otherwise, all of these abandoned places tend to run together.

Wow! Doesn't look nearly as unstable inside as it did outside. 4:12 Haha, guess not. Without knowing the building's history, you could place the abandonment between 1953 & 1986 because of the reference to Sugar Smacks cereal & the Embassy Lucky Boy can. "Special Kids" Cereal, for the gifted & handicapped only; no mediocre kids allowed. Must have been a real eyesore of a school indoors, with that hideous yellow paint everywhere. Love the stone-mortar walls though.

I worked for the FDIC at the Consolidated Field Office in South Brunswick, NJ from 1990 to 1995 which handled bank closings and asset foreclosures in New York among four other states. This property would have been sold at sheriff's sale by 1995 for peanuts. Who owns it now? I handled similar historic old 100 yr old hotels, foreclosure/sheriff sale at FDIC for hotels along the NJ shore. I purposely delayed sending two such hotels to sheriff's sale in hopes of locating a buyer, but we were forced to liquidate everything when Bill Clinton ordered our office closed in May 1995. Two grand 100 yr old 100 room old hotels in Spring Lake, NJ, The Shorem and The Warren in excellent condition, were sold for the value of the land and the buildings demolished. An irreplaceable sad loss.

@henrynevins1

mcrfan343 The lots were sold at auction and the high bidders subdivided the lots putting 3 to 4 houses on each. There's another old turn of the century hotel in Spring Lake, NJ that was bought at sheriff's sale and restored. It's oceanfront and called The Essex & Sussex. Today it's rooms are now condos. What a shame if this was bulldozed too. Check out this video of it. The Essex & Sussex, Spring Lake NJ

It's really a shame that such a beautiful building is in ruins. People and/or governments should take responsibility and see to it that stuff like this doesn't happen. I always get pissed off when I see this because there is *always* someone who can do something about this no matter if it's an old hotel, a castle or just an ordinary home.
