They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What may seem an eyesore to one person, just might be a beautiful masterpiece to another. There are places beloved by communities and protected in the hearts of those that hold their memories of its tattered hallways and decayed rooms dear. This is the way that we feel when we explore places that have been forgotten by time. Left to rot and decay and only holding the silent whispers of what once was. We know that there are people out there with malicious intent toward these places that we venture into. It saddens us when we see the filth and destruction they leave behind, but we want to make something very clear… We are explorers and lovers of history. We in no way, shape or form condone the criminal activities that take place in the historical decaying places that we document. Social media has brought many of these places to the limelight, but the intention is to show the beauty and mystery of abandonment. Not to invite trouble. Trouble will find its way on its own and to say that the peaceful documentation of these places leads to criminal activity, is mind blowing. We have met so many amazing fellow explorers in our travels and are so thankful and humbled by the positive responses we have received. We know that this type of exploration is not for everyone…many people don’t understand why we find such beauty in decay, we can only explain it as a beautiful journey into the past. We invite you to watch our explores and come along as we visit these amazing places. As for the criminal activity that occurs, those individuals are responsible for their own actions. It is a terrible part of our society, but reality, nonetheless. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for loving this location just as much as we do. We hope that through this video, the memories held within will remain.

I think the home is owned by Emily Ting although Im not 100 percent sure. Miss Ting went back to Hong Kong around 2005 when her father became ill. She is an actress/producer that studied in New York.

There are some clips on here from Emily Ting’s 2008 documentary “Family Inc”, which seems to follow her life as she goes back to Hong Kong to *help* her father run his toy manufacturing business. Would be interesting to watch the full thing & see if there’s any mention of this, because all these clips are very out of context and don’t mention much of anything lol

There was a quiet beauty to the decay we found here. It was very serene and peaceful. Although this location has been left behind, it is still the place where sweet memories can be made. Definitely not! Then or now... the graffiti... not that we would even categorize it with the colorful graffiti that we often see, was horrendous. We often look past all of the offensive pictures and words on the walls because we are so thrilled to be exploring. It wasn’t until we were watching that we were aware of all the filth on the walls... ugh. The cliffs beyond the house were definitely not child friendly either... not really friendly for adults to be honest, as one wrong step would be a disaster. Thank you so much for coming along with us and for commenting!

Amazing location. That would have been an epic home back in its day, especially with those views over the ocean. Looks like they found a close to perfect location to build it. Tragic to learn about their son, can understand why they left and went back home. The building has certainly suffered over time. Surprised it wasn't snapped up when the owners left or later bought to use the land for another build. There is definitely a huge difference between explorers and vandals. Someone clearly doesn't "get it". Enjoyed this one. thanks for showing us around.

Lol Exploring With Latte. Gotta wonder if this place stayed empty where it is due to the land itself being unstable that close to the cliffs? The scrappers were much worse than the vandals here, every wall torn open for the wiring and fixtures,,,,,,,sad. Was a beautiful huge house once, Wowsers. Pilfer don't hear that much anymore even autocorrect didn't like it😜. I many Asian cultures a parent or parents may have been living in the area with the other kitchen, love that fridge. Vandals damage and destroy by definition, urban explorers document and do no damage. The view was incredible, now imagine the view decades ago when it was newer all those trees were much smaller or not even there. That was a pool area downstairs just totally stripped the view from the big windows when the trees weren't there would have been sweet while swimming in the winter! Definite land erosion in front of the house, super cool find guys.

Not defending the people who vandalized this house, but the owners should have sold it or found a rental agency that would keep the place occupied. If you just leave a place anywhere in the United States and don't check on it, it will eventually get broken into and then it's just a matter of time before it's completely destroyed. If they thought they may return someday they should have hired someone to keep the place up and they should have kept it insured also. Now they are probably not interested in selling it because they will take such a loss.

We were never able to confirm the validity of this story, so it was probably just a legend. When you are there, you can see how a tragedy like that could have happened. The house was so close to the cliffs. Absolutely stunning! But would have been dangerous for a toddler.

Thank you so much, Bob! We don't understand it either. We do see so much vandalism, but we also see so many people like us that just love to give a little love and light to places that have long since been forgotten. Thank you so much for watching and for such a nice comment!

Faith Smith Lol... old people rock! We have enjoyed joining Facebook. We have met so many people who share our passion. We were trying to avoid the drama that sometimes comes with Facebook, but are happy that we decided to join. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! We hope that you will check out a few of our other explores as well. We get a little goofy, but just love exploring together and sharing our experiences with others!☺️

Its sad that people destroy things like they do, why cant they just leave things alone? If they want to squat there, ok but dont damage the homes! Just sad

it's baffling to us why anyone with a conscience (and we know who does these things) gets joy out of breaking windows and putting holes in walls and writing disgusting things on walls. We are not big fans of vandalism.

I hope you checked yourself for ticks after walking through the woods. Ticks can make you wicked sick.

Michele Jones Thank you for watching and for your concern! We are most at home in the woods and have become quite the experts on tick checks☺️. We will definitely be careful!! Thanks again!

First of all, we don’t give out locations to people we don’t know and second of all, you may want to comment on a video you watch before looking for information. It goes a long way!
