50k...Absolutely fantastic, I have said it before, I love how you showcase your work. This is so good, the natural decay is so evident and the fact that it has elements of how you found it last time you visited here is good too, usually it has been seen over and over by other explorers. keep doing what your doing guys the effort is "effortless" you all clearly love what you do, the commentary and enthusiasm is refreshing, fantastic building presented as it should be, keep up the good work. I love having the the opportunity to see places I would never get to see otherwise, and the pics would take pride of place on my family room walls..

This kind of ward was called a Nightingale ward , in more modern times the wards were separated into cubicles of four beds. Nightingale wards were great you had eyes on all patients at all times.As a student nurse in 1980 I found my mental health placement such hard work as a 20 year old what did I know of mental health conditions some people live such hard lives.

The scaffolding that are floor to ceiling are called acro Jack's and are used for keeping roofs up.

Way to go on 50k well deserved. Really fantastic video! The fact that it is so untouched is just great. It is odd that the facility does not seem to have a kitchen? Perhaps that was located in a separate structure.

Passer Bys ? .... Maybe Passers By !! ... You've said this on previous posts lads, apart from that another good look into an abandoned building. .. I love anything early 1800's Georgian period, as the whole structure looks completely different from anything else in the later half of the 19th century Victorian era, and is recognisable straight away. ... Asylums were common at this time, and became 'hospitals' in later years. ... Thank you for posting.

I was admitted to HILLSIDE WARD IN 1979.In a straight jacket.given Largactil.I was 17. I was told I was going to have Electro shock therapy,but my mother complained,so I didn’t get it.I was put on Tablet form of Largactil for 1 month,when I got home.And I spent 3 Months on the ward.for sniffing Glue.

Good video, I wonder about the souls who stayed here, people who have mental health problems can have wretched lives. Some have been abandoned with no real friends or family to help them.
