I see now that there are additional videos from a year ago that will also aid in the process. I am so grateful to the both of you for posting these discussion's. THANK YOU.❤

For the last couple of years I have been searching for the meaning of life, I started meditation last year with Sam Harris, I have been asking God for a path of truth, 2 months ago I had a profound realization that life is mainly about being kind, compassionate, to be love and to share love (think and act in love) last week I bought Angelos book and watched this series, today I had my first really weird experience, It felt like I disappear into energy, like if everything was one (I don’t have words to describe it) curious to know if anyone else experienced something like this thank you Angelo and thank you Dr. Z Dogg

Yes those are experiential tastes of non-dual. With proper inquiry and orientation that will become your moment to moment reality. It already is it’s just that cognitive filters make it seem as if it isn’t so. Even non-dual realization can be clarified to a deeper experience believe it or not.

As someone with health anxiety I am hyper aware of my bodily sensations to a fault. I need to be really careful with this exercise! I enjoy listening to these talks. I am patiently waiting for my amazon order to arrive so I can start Angelo's book. I started becoming obsessed after noticing synchronicity on the daily. It gives me a natural high when it happens, while simultaneously giving me a sense of peace and comfort. Love you guys. Thanks!

@@James-mk8jp It took some time but just accepting my body for what it is. Realizing it's not trying to kill me. It's trying to keep me alive. Surrendering to uncertainty. Whenever I feel something that may seem scary I stop, breathe, and do my best to surrender and ride the wave until it passes. Does it work 100% of the time? No. I just went to the ER about a month ago. I was having really intense pvc's. I tried all day to ride the wave, but I just couldn't anymore and thought I was in real danger. It's still major progress compared to where I was even a year ago. I hope that helped a little.

I think the thought " i need to be careful" is just resistance and the more you gently practice this and allow it the more you'll realise there's nothing to be careful of. I have social anxiety and realised something similar. Infact, it's so obvious when you realise it

At one time when I was hyper focused on health it seemed that the sicker I got. All my attention was on “being healthy” and the result was everything became something to address. Some newly noticed issue followed up with the health “treatment” for it which subsequently made it (my health) worse. Mental obsessions I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty, become my masters and my mind, mood and emotional bodies are the whipping boy.

Interesting. I haven't seen in several years. Learned braille around age 34. I still have some visual dreams, but more dreams that feel very real with mostly the rest of my senses. Ironically as a sighted person I felt more out of body all the time, but have felt the most present in my body ever, when I'm physically awake, the longer I've navigated blind. In about ten years I will have spent equal years both ways, in terms of just that difference. I became more athletic than I had been for years during adaptations.

Maybe a weird question, but did your thoughts change? Can you still have mental images or when we think of a situation in the past or future we see a sort of movie playing in our minds. Or is it changed and do you think just in sounds and talking in your head? Interesting story thanks for sharing.
@splashesin8
@splashesin8 3 года назад
@@propps2253 I still have all the same memories stored in several types of ways in my mind including visual memories, but probably always filed a lot of stuff in terms of muscle memory even when I could see, and smells and auditory things. I can bring up an arial map in my head and revise it as things have changed, but keep notes to myself of the previous versions of the map. I make revisions as I find new changes or hear of new changes. I also have a different type of geographical map memory in my mind that relates to the moving of my body physically through space both indoors and outdoors, twisting and turning on roads I had driven a thousand times, aside from a kind of set of clues that almost all basic businesses have evolved into using which I have recognized more since navigating blind in places I've never been before. I can make my way towards the doors and in, following music and tactile mats on the sidewalks etc, speakers in the ceilings, where things are generally stocked. Here's what kind of freaks me out: When I am having a very real seeming dream that is happening in the current setting of the apartment I'm in now. I will dream a stranger I can see is in the apartment but way in the back after breaking in and walking past where I'm in sleep paralysis. I think I'm looking through the current corridor all the way to the back walk-in closet, trying to shout at the person to get out, like, I just want them to leave so I can sleep, but I can't fully shout, so I semi in and out of trying to wake up, knowing this can't be real, because I can't see when I'm awake. ...and the guy never says anything and he's back there spinning a sign with words on it I can't make out, and switching signs like that old mtv video of maybe INXS? I keep feeling alternately alarmed, but then just perturbed, because I get recurring dreams like this, where people just come right into my space while I'm unable to move and really need to sleep. So eventually when I'm fully awake, I know it would be impossible for me to see through the corridor area from the bed because the bed is too far over. The corridor is similar to my old place that I did see in for many years, but everythings like a mirrored layout, so things are all on the left that used to be all on the right. In my dream that is so real seeming, I'm looking the direction that would be appropriate over here in this other side of the breezeway mirror like layout, but the furniture is not quite where I think it is in my dream. I have the fast forwarding circadian sleep thing that wears me out, and kind of contributes to the sleep paralysis probably. I know where a lot of the intruder type stuff comes from, is just never ending maintenance from adjacent and overhead apartment stuff coming through my ceiling and them popping up round the clock knocking like the secret police or gestapo in that movie about Lillian Hellman's friend. Julia! That's what that movie was. So I conjure very vivid visual dreams sometimes that are not exactly replays of memory but somehow feel like I'm falling back asleep when I'm actually trying to get up. Because it's like I am not seeing as I'm waking up. However I have just as many dreams where I am asleep but am not visual in those dreams, out walking with friend, or shopping or whatever. I have a friend, who has a recurring dream that I'm driving in the mountains like up on Trail Ridge Road or something, and she forgets to tell me to turn slightly or something while she's taking video of the scenery. 🤣 I'm always having to remind her that I don't drive. I have had to get her to show me how to make sure she did, put the car in park when she hopped out, and where the emergency brake is. 😱 Man I made a bunch of typos and just edited.

@@splashesin8 Thanks for your responding very interesting. Haha the director of our dreams must be a crazy guy, i was dreaming last time of a gorilla with horns(never see something like that in my life) or the end of the world type of dream. I know Carl Jung wrote about dreams and the interpretation so maybe he wrote something about your dream. I had last time a few dreams that the moment i woke up i knew the meaning but it's not from a intelectual point of view but more a feeling or intuition, Carl Jung wrote about that dreams have symbols and archetypes just like mythology for example. Do you think you know what your dreams mean or do you have a feeling or how it felt during the dream there is always a feeling during the dreaming experience? Everyone you see in dreams are aspects of yourself. Thank you again for responding it's interesting how you experience the world and how you body and mind adept. Is there positive things about being blind you think? Maybe you have more awareness of your other senses for example? Thanks

I know once in awhile I think it's a good thing I couldn't see in some recent situation because it helped me to handle it undistracted in a timely way, but driving would sure be nice. I am just more athletic than I would be, by default. I had to really work at hyper focusing my other senses. Same with honing my caning skills. You know, it's like playing the guitar, riding a bike, swimming. It did take time.

People should pay more attention on really watching, hearing and smelling. Look at trees growing and bonfires burning. See how the fabric of nature grows up from the ground. See the colours and hear the sounds emerging when the fabric disappears in a bonfire. Watch how a seed later use its knitting needles of colours (elmagn) and sound (lack of water) to make a new coat, create a new tree.

I'm sorry, but the man clearly spreads misinformation about the topic. He cherrypicks data and leaves out relevant information from "reputable" sources, so I suspect that he knows what he's doing. I could provide examples of his dishonesty and of the sources he chooses to omit from his analyses, but it is likely then that this comment will be promptly deleted (which has happened to me in the past). And now that he's here touting "enlightenment" and "awakening" I certainly can't forget this. He has already exposed himself to me as a deceiver, and I can't help but notice lately this trend with other particular themes seeming to correlate with people like himself. It is becoming impossible for me to overlook. I know you will write me off as a crazy person... and as annoying as that would be, I don't care because I have faith in the truth. It will be ultimately revealed... And if it is in your lifetime, then please don't forget characters like "zdogg" and the fact that people like myself were already able to see through him. Don't forgive him if he someday "apologizes" for being "misled" just like you. His success on this platform is no accident.
