Thank you Robert so much !! I appreciated every moment in the land I was born and raised in. Also my husband too. God bless you for the great and appreciated video.
Your videos are Emmy worthy! The coverage is spectacular and breathtaking! Your editing and music make it that more special. I really look forward to these on Sundays mornings. Thank you for all that you do! 😀
Awesome !!!How the badlands got formed...... How many millions and millions of years have elapsed to be able to see these incredible rock formations now. I fell lucky to see them through this video. Beautiful waterfalls..... Congrats..... go ahead.... and I see you on the road.... Love ....MOM
Hello Traveling Robert, this was an AMAZING view of Badlands National Park and all of the cool attractions on the way back to Florida. I'm looking for the next "riding to the west" series. Awesome video.
Another really good video! Thanks for the plug for my area. When you showed you getting your new truck you had mentioned how the Colorado had taken you to all of the lower 48 states plus British Columbia. Hope you will get the opportunity to explore my home area a bit more in depth on your way to Alaska in the summer. Those videos will be well worth the wait! I had been looking at various types of RV’s as I started thinking that this is something I would definitely like to do in the next few years once my work days are over. I finally decided on the truck and trailer scenario. I now have the first piece of the puzzle, the truck. Hopefully the trailer to follow soon. You have definitely been an inspiration to me!
No words can describe the beauty you have showed me.. I am just humbled by the natural surroundings, thanks to your video, your artistic skills, editing and format. (How did you ever see that bird sitting on s Badlands perch?) Also enjoyed the trip east, time spent in Sioux City. Love traveling with you. Robert. Thank you for all you do.
Highest compliment I can give you is I click the like button before I watch because you never disappoint. Thank you for being so diligent and dedicated to great content.
My favorite videos from you are the ones like this one in the natural parks, wildlife settings and small towns. Since I already live in Manhattan most of my life, I don't care much for the big city videos. Thank you for inspiring to travel across America.
Traveling witb Robert is amazing......even if I never get the chance to actually visit a place.....I have experienced it with Traveling Robert!! Thank you!!!!
I think these areas of both North Dakota (previous season episodes) and South Dakota have been some of my favorite videos! Up there with winter Death Valley and Bishop. The Badlands looks amazing! As always, your videos are awesome!
Yo Robert, your content is amazing. I really love watching your American Road Trip on Prime to get me pumped up for my own roads trips; especially in the summer. Keep up the 🔥🔥🔥 content
Pictures and video just doesn’t do this park justice. I was fortunate 25 years ago to see the Badlands. The different terrain is unreal. You can go from flat and then it drops off. The colors are unreal. Thanks for the video brings back some wonderful memories. 😊
Thank you, Robert! Badlands, Custer State Park, Rapid City, Needles Highway, Mt. Rushmore and my beloved Sylvan. My old stomping grounds when I dated my first serious boyfriend. He was stationed in N. Dakota and I lived in Colorado Springs. Thanks for the memories and sharing updates on what the areas look like presently.
Bring back some fond memories of our trips to SD. The lighting storms at night in the Bad Lands are unreal. Sioux Falls is one of our Favorite cities to visit with the falls and sculpture street. SD is a good state to visit with a lot of interesting places to visit.
my wife and kids did the notch trail. i wasn't going anywhere near those cliff edges so after climbin the ladder i bailed on the rest. thanks for posting what i missed.
Amazingly enough, the Colorado is still showing for sale at Fairey Chevrolet! I can’t believe it hasn’t sold yet. I mentioned it in a livestream months ago and you said you thought it did. As of today 3/19 it’s still on their site. So so tempting 💙
great video, how you hike those cliffs wow, i would have taken just the boardwalk LOL, again love the scenery everywhere you travel, thank you for sharing!
Wow! You make me want to change my travelplans for our visit to the US this sommer. Now We must visit Badlands. You really make great videos. Hi from Denmark 😊
I dont remember all the boondocking spaces you stayed at off the top of my head but one that I immediately remember and love was the one you stayed at when you were west of yellowstone. You were in the area near upper and lower mesa falls. That was one of my favorites. Love the new truck!
What an excellent video Robert! You took us right into the Badlands better than probably anyone else has done. Everyone will want to go there after watching this; and it makes me think the National Park Service may be shooting themselves in the foot by banning the making of unlicensed commercial videos this year.
Robert is very respectful and professional when filming in our National Parks, other RU-vidrs not so much. Those restrictions have always been there but it took someone with a RU-vid Channel and over 3 million subscribers to force the National Parks Service hand. The way I understand it, they were warned numerous times to stop using drones in National Parks to film footage for their channel and the ignored the warnings. Drones offer awesome footage but many people visiting our National Parks may not enjoy those things buzzing over their head when trying to enjoy solitude and scenic views. Just my opinion.
@@derekk6906 Agree about the drones especially if they spook wildlife and intrude on people. But some of the 'drone' footage can be from wide angle micro cameras on the end of long telescopic poles.
Rewatched this episode today and just wanted to say farewell to Denver the Colorado. It was a good tow vehicle and the reason I found this channel. Here's to many more with Starship!
Spectacular views and hikes of the Badlands. Your joy of being there shines thru on the video. We enjoyed Sioux Falls - we rode our bikes around town. I saw the Florida and Saskatchewan flafs at the Winnebago event.
BAD to the bone!!! I love theBadlands and can’t wait to boondock on The Wall. I’m hoping to meet you next year in Forest City. My husband and I listen to your tunes when we travel, to the west or east. Best wishes for wonderful travels!
The Wall is certainly a boondocking spot with an awesome view! I think my all time camping spot with a view is at the Mitchell Caverns campground in the Providence Mountains with a vast panorama of the Mojave desert as far as the eye can see. Seeing that rope ladder on your hike brings to mind the Half Dome cables....except those are about 10 times more scary. Happy trails!
Hello Robert, here in Oregon near Portland it is raining on this Easter Sunday, and watching you sunny travels though the badlands and all the way to Florida it does the soul very good and keeps it warm. Looking forward for your travels west in your next episodes. Have a great many more trips, cheers. 👍👍😊😊
I’ve worked at the badlands Inn for 2021-2022 and will be back this season! I’ve followed you and your travels I wish I would’ve ran into you Robert✌🏻be safe
We just barely missed you once again. We arrived in Rapid City on July 15th to visit Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave, & Badlands. You’re right this SW Floridian thought it was really hot there too.
Fantastic video as always. You've inspired me to get out and explore more. I've been staying close to home since the pandemic, but this year I am going to be brave and see new things. Based on your SD videos I have planned a trip to the Bandlands and then on to Spearfish. These areas I wasn't able to see back in 2012 as we had horses with us. This year we are mainly traveling horse free to see more national parks and do a bit of hiking. I noticed you stay at quite a few KOAs. I bought KOA membership, hope it was worth the cost. Going to stay at Mitchell KOA, Badlands KOA and then Spearfish city park. Looking forward to checking out Spearfish canyon, Devil's Tower and riding our Rad eBikes on the Michelson Trail near Deadwood.
Sunday morning, it's time to fire up the moka pot for some Cafe Bustelo and this week's TR video! That area of South Dakota is a so full of neat stuff to see! My two fondest memories of Badlands NP are hiking the trail with a boardwalk during a thunderstorm wearing a cheap poncho and stargazing on a warm clear night at the campground while listening to Pink Floyd. By the way, I'm sure you're probably already aware that there's big news regarding permits for filming in National Parks. I hope you don't mind me promoting another channel, but Park Junkie's latest video goes into some depth about the FILM Act, which changes the current laws to allow youtubers to film in the parks. This is a big deal for content creators and fans of travel videos alike. I hope anyone who's interested will take the time to contact their representative and express their support. Happy trails!
don't go there at the wrong time like I did. 105, but it was a dry heat, LOL. will have to go back in more bearably temp. those hikes will make me come back. another awesome video!
Robert, I’m a long-time viewer of your channel. I just wanna say I would really enjoy a nice Cuban coffee and cigar with you. I hope our paths cross someday. Cheers!
I have been to the Badlands National Park but we did not camp there. Beautiful place and windy as heck. Hot too as we were there in September. Very beautiful. Do bring water with you in your car and on your person when you walk even on the established shorter trails.
Robert you scared me on that hike!!! Yikes....I know if I ever visit the Badlands to stay on the boardwalk. I am glad Florida still has OJ at the welcome centers. I am from Georgia and when I was a little girl you got a cup of Coca Cola and some Lance Peanuts at our welcome stations. Sadly they no longer do this....I so enjoy traveling along with you and Illy.
We love the videos my friend… love the consistency… btw what month was this visit to the badlands? We’re planning to visit there aswell, just trying to figure when… thanks again for all inspiring us to travel
Great video with nice drone footage. I plan to be there in late May, starting with the wall boondock spot. Can you suggest close places for dumping and water? Where did you go? Thanks!
Once again some amazing footage. Now that you have been towing with the new truck in real time for 8 months or so, how do you find it? Curious how the fuel mileage compares, and also curious how you find the more aggressive tires on the new truck.... Looking forward to your upcoming episodes. As always, safe travels......
@@TravelingRobert Yes so true. We did similar as we had been towing with a Toyota Highlander and now tow with an F150. Slightly worse MPG but better towing, although the Highlander was a good tow vehcile, but a lot more storage room for bikes and stuff with the pickup. I went with a slightly more highway friendly tire, which is quite quiet, but I am sure not as good off road as yours are.... safe travels....really looking forward to the rest of your 22 west series, and especially keen to see your upcoming Alaska trip...bucket list for sure... also we are heading to Cuba next week for a couple of weeks... will be thinking of you for sure.
