Great video! We went as a family for the first time last year and learned so much more than what we read. The actors/historians there are so fabulous and knowledgeable. We were so impressed.

My parents took us to Colonial Williamsburg when we were kids. I don’t remember a thing about (public) school that year but I remember my parents taking us there. Another reason I love homeschooling!

You are the most talented video storyteller that I know! Amazing! And at my favorite future homeschool field trip location!! Good to know it is bigger than expected! I’ll keep that in mind! How many days did you stay in Colonial Williamsburg. Is one day enough?

Harmony, thank you so much! We were in the area for about four days but only one day in colonial Williamsburg. One day was enough for us but we didn’t have tickets for the museums or anything. 💙

I found it very difficult to talk to my children about slavery and the Civil rights movement. My oldest is 8 and it was very difficult for me to talk about MLKJr. Not sure he understood what I was saying. I would like to visit Colonial Williamsburg one day with them but I guess I want to shelter them from the negative feelings
