Very good. Great to see all of you back on the trail. This looks like a very nice section. Good views, waterfalls, and fairly easy terrain. BTW, another RU-vidr and I did the roomy mine hike last week in a collab. It was a more challenging trail then i expected but it was fun and the mine was much bigger then we both expected. I gave your channel a shoutout in that video but it won't be out for a few more weeks yet. But you provided the inspiration for that hike so thank you. I hope you guys are staying cool in this blazing heat
WOW! You just made my day!! It feels so good to hear we have inspired you. Can't wait to see your video of the mine and thank you so much for the shout out. Yes, this latest section of AT was pretty easy and very enjoyable. We crossed paths with a few thru-hikers and had a chance to hear their take on the trail through PA and NJ. I'm excited to get back to CT in a couple of weeks and hoping we have good luck getting another shuttle ride. We were a little concerned about how things would go but Trail Hopper and Izzy really came through for us. We arrived at our pickup location 45 mins early and thought we have a long wait, but Trail Hopper was already there! Great service. BTW, welcome back from your travels down south.
Yes, we really enjoyed this section. Thanks for watching and commenting. I see you have quite a catalog on your channel. I subbed you and will be checking out your Appalachian Trail playlist.
strange commentary but the parking lots look great! 😊 What an amazing cemetery! The stairs look great (and rather steep!) Love the observations around the monolithic mystery rock (and the hug). Is Fossil a geologist? I was excited to see the falls and the Housantonic. Glad to see y’all on the trail again!
Hi Julie! Thanks for continuing to follow along with us knuckleheads. This was a very enjoyable section. Yes, parking has been very good so far but there haven't been any mid-section road crossings where one could break it up a bit like we have in Jersey. Fossil does have a love of geology but is not a geologist by trade. She's studied all that ancient glacier type of stuff. We're hoping to be back there in a couple of weeks. I'm just now starting the frustrating process of finding a shuttle ride for the next section.
