How do you find the stability of the E with SM wheels vs your SMC? And the suspension as well. I'm wondering if you can feel the lower trail with the E model
@@timothyer2447 it’s pretty stable at 120-140kmh. A little wobble on acceleration when the front wheel gets light. I have it setup on the stock sport setting for road riding and it feels good to me. To be honest, I don’t feel a big difference between this and the SMC. The fork is on the first line from the top and I’ll probably just leave it there. You could play with the fork height for more stability or better turn in. With the wheel swap you get a fun sumo and lightweight adv in one bike.
@@guitarhawaii good to hear! I'll probably follow the same then, I'm rebuilding my bike and my fork height is the same. I was quite surprised to find the front doesn't even have preload adjustment though.... But it is what it is
@@timothyer2447 on my old SMC I changed the plastic spacers under the fork caps to adjust the preload. Kind of a pain if you’re testing the suspension, but once it’s dialed for your weight you never have to touch it again. As you can see I’m not going very fast, so as long as the front end feel is decent I’m not going to mess with it.
