This trip in our beloved Sprinter campervan Fatboy takes us to the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains where we revisit a site we haven't been to in five years, go underground at the Dan yr ogof showcaves, and explore an abandoned lime kiln mine.
We stayed at a place called Brynglas retreat which is a fantastic little semi wild site that holds just four campervans.
Situated close to the Beacons and Black mountains it is a fantastic place to base at for walking, or other adventures in the area.

Dan yr ogof showcaves turned out to be great fun. The caves themselves are spectacular and the Jurrasic park dinosaurs everywhere were an unexpected bonus.
The old lime kilns are situated on top of the Black mountains. The terrain is windswept and barren but has a foreboding beauty that is undeniable. There is a free car park a short walk away and the drive back down is spectacular.
