We live in New Zealand but we have been to Penang a couple of times - the second visit was because we loved the food so much, especially the Kapitan! I hate to think how many times we ate the tandoori chicken. Some of the best food we have had anywhere. Really enjoy your videos.
Ack! I just received my first postcard and it’s the one in this video! So glad to support you two. I just couldn’t love your videos mor and because of your collaboration regarding travel stuff I discovered Kara&Nate too. Keep On Traveling!!!
El Capitan! It’s what we called the place when backpacking around Malaysia. So great, pretty much ate there every evening when I was in Penang. Butter nann and tandoori was my fav!
That Lassi is just a variation of yoghurt or curd whipped with water, generally the sweeter one is preferred but some like it savoury or with some salt. That naan and Tandoori chicken look delicious.
The english and french heritage is absolutely stunning, how many people went to South Asia for the tea industry and left that buildings and style? Georgetown was incredible... and the food! I really enjoy hindu influence too, very spicy and colorful..Nikita, you're one of the mine! Sometimes I like food and beverages the rest hate 😄 Congrats guys!
Hi guys, Lithuanian-born, Penang-based artist Ernest Zacharevic was commissioned to paint six murals as part of the 2012 George Town Festival, one mural at 12:58, the “Little Children on a Bicycle” piece is one of the most photographed places in all of George Town
I remember learning about why Georgetown was so run down it's because of some ancient Chinese custom whereby property has to be left alone for a long time after the passing of the owners.
We have just gone to Penang for that tandoori chicken. It's open 24 Jam(hrs) a day. So of course I had it at 430am before we flew out. Mmmmm, time to book a flight.
I was amazed at the beauty of the art there. It was really creative and beautiful. Food looked great also. It made me want good Indian food. Not easy to find that in my area of Germany.
Mary Sterck haha,, im malaysian,, & 1 think about malaysian food u need need to know,, its a diversity combination of malay+indian+chinese taste,, So, the indian food here are totally different from original/international indian food. Same with malaysian chinese food, its totaly different from original/international chinese food. If you try indian food from india country n indian food from malaysia, u will know what i mean, same with the chinese cuisine from china & from malaysia. So totally honest here, even i still dont know how origanally indian food flavour taste. Because indian food in malaysia have already been mixed with malaysians taste. Some info for you.
Im really surprised that No one introduced you to the Baba Nyonya sub culture & the world most delicious food. Just Google or check it out on youtube , it's almost going to be forgotten, but I hope not.
Was not going to comment but I'm sorry as a Penangite, you have really not tried the "real" good Indian food around. Trust me there's a lot more. While KL is the shopping Capital of Malaysia, Penang is considered the "Food Haven" of Malaysia. Being a little proud here, I can tell you for a fact that we have the absolute BEST Food in Malaysia. So if you're ever still in Penang or if you know anybody who is going to be visiting Penang, please feel free to send me a message and I'll be more than happy to give recommendations. Enough of my ranting... Good vlog tho. Keep up the great vlogs!
The Endless Adventure nice! Check out old airport road and Newton circus food centre! And maybe also try singapore’s exclusive mcspicy burger from MacDonalds! Looking forward to the videos
Yuuuup. My Uncle and his wife live in Penang, he did a video recently about the flooding that happened there ( in November no less ). It gets really bad from what I saw in his video, which reminds me of hurricane season here - how bad it was this year especially. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fYlw4z3mL8M.html -- that's his video.
You're a sweet couple but it's hard watching TWO fussy eaters traveling around the world. Standard American midwest bland pallet and narrow flavor profile. Nothing spicy, nothing slightly sour, nothing too sweet...just make it as buttery and salty as possible. Be adventurous, try things. You two are eating like tourists.
ositofreitas I totally agree with you. Exactly what I was thinking watching the whole video. They should be talking more to locals, find out where they go, where they eat. I am from Penang, born and raised and i can tell you, they've no idea what they are talking about. C'mon! Penang has SO MANY different varieties of food, not just indian food! Backpacking is fun, but doing some homework before you do something, goes a long way.
i have a diff view from you.. i think it's refreshing that The Endless Adventure say what they think... i've seen reactions where the reviewers 'loves' everything they taste here in malaysia.. C'mon, you must love some and dislike some if you are tasting food outside your normal comfortable food surroundings.. Be truthful and not sucking up to the malaysian public is what i think every reviewer should do. :D Peace.
Did you see them eat a sheet's head or steak tartare? They are much more adventurous and open minded in their food choices when travelling than most people (including myself). What is wrong with not wanting too spicy, too sweet? Oh, they are tourists BTW.
Doug Williams all of your comments in Malaysia's foods videos.. will be.. "its not ... its rat".. "....its dog".. "....its cat"".. do you think we Malaysian do eat that sort of thing? Please grow up and read more..
Tommy Tightlips yep the vlog is great got to see some nice bits but the place looks like a stinking dump, so bad you couldn't tell a difference after the storm, cleaning and hygiene dose not cost sorry, to the people over it is not ment to offend
