Like 75 👍 Hello from, your friends in Naples, Florida. That was awesome! Beautiful views there. Love the bridge. We do not like wind farms! Thanks for sharing with us, have a great week 💯
Beautiful area! Well done on your description and history of the area. That bridge and lighthouse were super cool. Lighthouses are something that us inland folks do not get to see much. Bridge engineering and designs amaze me too. Beautiful views of the area from above. Too bad about the wind turbines. We have them here is some areas too. Lots of pros and cons of having them. Take care and have a great day.
Reminds me of the bridge over to Skye in the Scottish Highlands, we we have drove over before. These windfarms are exploding all over now and we have a load of them in the UK too and (imo) a massive blot on the landscape. The view from the top looked great, so much better without wind turbines in the way, cheers Alan
Beautiful narration, music, and videography Arnstein. I really enjoyed the history of the area. As for the wind farm, it is just my view, but with campaigners calling for green energy, there have to be sacrifices. I assume the area was surveyed and thought at the time to be the ideal place for the wind turbines. Unless we use nuclear or coal/natural gas, then the only other options are wind and wave unless you have masses of hydroelectric dams. The saying 'you can't have your cake and eat it' comes to mind. If the population wants to reduce global warming, then we need to invest in renewable energy. I would be interested to know why they are increasing tax to a level that would put a wind farm out of business. Irregardless a great video Arnstein and beautifully put together. Thank you for sharing.
*Nice views of the wind turbine farm, bridge, and lighthouse. The narration concerning the protests against the wind turbine farm were particularly interesting. 👍*
A very peaceful description of wonderful Norway. Good feeling in the mountains. Good job. The journey continues, my friend. Winter Greetings from Helsinki 🇫🇮 ❄
🏞 Exploring Haramsfjellet Mountain with you was a captivating journey! Your storytelling about Mannen, the wind park controversy, and the Lepsøyrevet lighthouse added depth to the experience. It's unfortunate how the wind park project sparked division and conflict on Haramsøya. The scenic beauty of the island, captured from the top of Haramsfjellet, is truly breathtaking. The contrasts in weather and terrain showcased the island's unique charm. Thanks for sharing the history, struggles, and wonders of Haramsøya - a hidden gem in Norway. Looking forward to more adventures on your channel! 🇳🇴⛰
Second one here. Beautiful mountain and landscape. Love the narration of the historical place. Fantastic lights house. Amazing wind park, we called this wind mill. Stunning views along the way. Lovely snowy trail path. Beautiful coastal area. I really enjoyed watching until the end. Wishing you a Blessed Merry Christmas. All the best, Amie🇳🇿
Great to know the story of this beautiful place. Such a beautiful hike too! Thanks for sharing some helpful facts about getting to the island and stats of the hike. Great narration and impressive editing!
Hello, my friend!! Really a captivating content. Your very interesting and detailed narration helped us to discover more about this amazing area. My Best Wishes for a joyful and blessed Advent time! Renata
Really beautiful! I enjoyed your narration and especially hearing you tell us the Norwegian names for the Islands and places! It’s so nice to have brand new bridges and easier access to these islands. Very nice to see the lighthouse and learn about its history. I’m sure if we visited we would like to go inside and learn more. Too bad about the wind farm controversy, and after all that to learn it might go out of business. It is a tough situation for sure. Enjoyed the video! 👍👍🌟🌟
Cool to see the old with the lighthouse and the new with the bridge beside each other👍 Interesting to hear about the division caused by the onshore windfarm, similar issues here in N. Ireland with ever more windfarms proposed for upland areas. Lovely views with the sea and islands (as always)👍👍
Hi, I love the lighthouse. What a great place that would be to stay the night. Such a charming location. Wind turbines are controversial in England too, some people don't like how they look or sound. But in saying that, no one wants to give up the energy that powers their homes and businesses.
I love this shot with lighthouse and the bridge. Windmills on this hill don't look bad either. 😍😍 We have quite a lot of them in Scotland, but since we have lots of hills I don't mind when few of them are occupied by nice-looking machinery. 😜😜😁😁
So much natural beauty. Not sure what the solution is, but windfarms do seem to be sprouting up here as well and causing much uproar also. Really enjoyed the narration and learning about the area for sure!! Bruce and Otis
Very informative. I have been there and we drove along the Nordøyvegen right after the project was finished but before it was officially opened. The firm where my husband used to work supplied the concrete in that project.
The view of the bridge was nice 😊 interesting hearing about the wind farms there. Great views when higher up, really beautiful. Shorter days are harder this time of the year I think 😅
Loving the narration addition to your videos! Another excellent location. Love the uniquely designed lighthouse, never seen one like that before. Also a great walk in those outer islands. During my visit to the Alesund region way back in 1999 those outer islands intrigued me and loved to quiet remoteness of them, but didnt have the time to visit any unfortunately. Hope to get back to Norway soon, and I will add this lighthouse and nearby islands to my growing list! Looking forward to where you take us next!😊👍
Lovely Bridge.. What a country you live, wish I had the confidence to get on a plane and come explore it, so for now Ill just enjoy your videos. Cheers :)
An interesting time out on this one bro. I bet the ferry people weren't chuffed either similarly to the wind power protesters. Out of a job! A nice light house though. Me on wind power? It's good although some say it's not very environmentally friendly to install. The jury is out. Well, a fascinating place. Mark
Hi Arnstein! An interesting hike, thanks for the share 👍Windfarms will always be controversial, especially when they are constructed purely for profit. If the operators cannot sell the power because there is already enough in the area then they deserve to go bankrupt but then the turbines will be left to slowly decay 🤔
Hi. It is always a problem about where power is generated and what the genearters look like. Wind farms may be ugly but they are less pollting than coal fired plants and much less polluting! Stay safe. ATB. Nigel
Gosh that is a beautiful island - another gorgeous video from you Arnstein. The bridge reminds me of the Skye bridge in Scotland, looks very similar. That was very controversial when first built! Wind Farms - a very difficult subject. The World is slowly dying and we have to find alternative power sources. But wind farms are just so intrusive to wildlife and local people. We now have huge Wind Farms out at sea over here - almost everywhere in Southern England you can see an offshore wind farm. But we also have them inland too - some of the Scottish Borders are very different environments these days. As I look out of my window up to the local woodland, I can see a huge wind turbine - one of three. It seems intrusive to the views here - but I honestly don't know what the answer is. Wave power seems the way forward maybe? But that Wind Farm you showed looks awful - completely against that wonderful senery you showed us. And maybe it will be de-constructed? Wow - what a mess that will cause. Solar power has vastly improved technology now - but local people voted against a Solar Farm around here. Wonderful and thought provoking video my friend - loved your narration on this too.
