We tried to book a campsite but it was school holidays , all the good ones were fully booked !
So last minute we book an Air B&B in the beautiful historic town of Rye. A town in East Sussex dating back to 12th Century. Along the way there and back we stop by at a few really great places, golden sandy beaches and the only desert in the U.K , To see sights or eat some good food . (There is always food) .
We opt out of the fast roads and travel predominately on country lanes.

Having my morning coffee with you two this morning. These have become a therapy of sorts for me. At 69 my spirit still rages, keep waiting for it to subside but i know i will miss the passion it generates. Your work in these gifts brings a calm of mind to me. The 2 wheels down , in uk a head nod , simple but to be honest . I’d say it’s 50/50 if you get one back 70% of uk bikers are very anti Harley so they blank you . I pretty much nod everyone .. even Lerner riders .. but if I get blanked too much .. I end up following it with the middle finger . In France Italy it’s a wave and people more likely to wave back .

Before I moved to Spain, I lived in Orpington, Eynsford was literally just round the corner. But the A21 down to Rye/Bexhill/Hastings/Brighton was a well travelled road for me. My other great ride ,was down to Hythe, then follow the coast road through Dymchurch and on to Dungeness, for fish and chips at The Pilot. Great to see some old memories in this video !

We well happy with the bike , great to hear you two putting yours to good use . So many people buy Harley’s and don’t ride them . My pal just bought a 1985 softail totally original with less than 15.000 miles

Rye know it well an yes a beautiful place would often visit with my late wife and children always a wonderful lazy fun days spent there and Camber sands beach soaking up the sun and dipping in the sea

What a great day out, country roads, escapism and eventually some really nice pub food! Rye looks fantastic. Wish we were closer. Off on the bikes to the Yorkshire Dales in half an hour. Back Sunday. Staying in Harrogate. Can’t wait. No major roads, just a twisty route courtesy of the Calimoto app.

The Calimoto app is brilliant. Can’t recommend it enough. You can choose different styles of routes but we usually stick to the twistys it cost just over £30, to get the full package but the basic one is free. Sends you on really quiet back roads. 👍👍

I'm an east sussex born and bred and if you're down this way and want a bangin' burger I'd recommend Frankie's At The Beach, a short ride from Rye and doesn't look like much more than a burger van but they host a bike night every Friday and the burgers are AMAZING! Me and my partner are just starting our Harley journeys out, hope to be travelling the world together just like you two lovelies. Ride safe!!

Stayed there last night. Lovely coast ride from Weymouth to Bridport. Great food in The Parlour restaurant. Up early this morning and rode to Torpoint in Cornwall for breakfast. Getting some miles in.

@@scottmears7490 Sax ? No … I attempt guitar .. I’m a bad guitar player , with an average voice that writes really good songs … and a lot of them …haha I’m biased .. but that’s how I see it .
