tbh, I got sick of a lot of the PVP servers, and especially the proliferation of cheaters. The nice thing about the PVE servers is that cheaters mostly avoid them. It is also way more chill, you can build your base how you want, and just... have fun.
@@SD-One Not that I have seen where I have played (maybe because of active admins), but at least the cheaters aren't impacting other people if they are there... which might be why I haven't noticed them, lol
Wastelands is a really good server for pve, they have improve it so much since I first played on it. I would love to see more videos of that. Been like 5 years since I was last on the server.
If you ever do another PVE server, I highly recommend Zombie Land Outbreak PVE if your ping isnt terrible on the server. It wipes ever 9-12 days and has a healthy population especially on wipe and several days after. Also the server has quite challenging pve content and is just a good time all around with fully custom maps and monuments. Glad to see you finally trying out some of the pve servers, its a nice change of pace.
@@sku36 haven't had a chance to play the other servers yet, but will probably give them a try at some point. Started on outbreak because the population stays pretty high. But I do agree most everyone on those servers are nice and helpful for the most part.
been a Zombie Land player for a couple years now, highly recommend it to anyone tired of the toxic aspects of rust. The maps are beautiful, and T-bird is one of the most transparent and fair server owners I have ever encountered.
@@viclynn13 they just took the rp thing away...main reason for me to play there because even if i dont have the time to play much there was something to look forward to over the wipes...now that this is gone i dont feel like playing there anymore...sad
@@sku36 the rp going away has been a relatively open discussion for months; that being said, I'd urge you to reconsider. I don't have much time to play anymore (even to the point my bases decay sometimes :/ ), but with the new system after picking up some quests I am definitely in a better position on day 1 than with rp.
There's always a little checklist I do when I play a Wipe on a PVE Server. It goes from getting a Car with a Garage to having a decently decorative/creative base to unlocking every bp.
I mainly play on the Pve servers now. Its more fun and a bit less challenging , so a trade off for sure. But I had a Npc that would harrass me at my last base so much it was almost like a real life door camper. Super fun, less grind, go for the 5X servers for some challenge, but an easy pace for base building.
Same the one I play has zombie hordes that roam, monument based zombies, when you break a barrel it can drop a grenade or a spawn a bear or other fun stuff. Some of the raidable bases are PVP so if you go in you can have the PVP experience. I just don't have time for the grind of the PVP game.
seems like a nice server, i play only PVE and also admin on one, pve is awesome, people are friendly, build really awesome bases. we have raidbases, when heli comes in they come in packs of up to 5 at once, zombie hoards roaming, roaming bradley at main road and all large monuments, armored train event, skinbox with special skins, (like those glass doors) its just chill gameplay in a cool game where you can make cool stuff without worrying. you should have returned the rockets tho =P
I'm only about 400 - 500 hours, if I didn't have these servers to learn monuments and that I'm not sure I would have stuck it out as a solo, so I think they are good for the game.
I was sometimes thinking about a proper PvE mode. Like scientists would patrol on the roads, and if they spot your base, they would send somebody to check it out and watch the place; shooting you if they see you near it. Also new enemy types, and the longer you go, the more harder the enemies would hit. During night the patrols might be fewer, and maybe they could have lights. Maybe even helicopter patrols on the "important areas", like outpost.
theres a plugin that do this. it spawns a couple cars full of scientists and a couple bradleys that patrol the road and if you start damaging the brads they all get out and start raiding you. they can wipe your base if you arent quick enough.
I love your videos... especially after a difficult day at the office, you are hilarious & entertaining. Some of the predicaments you get into i.e. tossing grenade on cargo and it ricochets toward you, lol. Thank you and keep up the great work.
I play on a German/English Server called "Die Insel" Chill and helpful people, beautiful buildings, some events and the day before wipe there is purge where you can play pve for 24 hours.
I play the PVE servers too, really so I can build some cool bases and do the things I'd never survive long enough to do in PVP, like large tea farms etc. this was fun to watch!
Do love some high pop pvp. With that said some of the pve's are quite fun. Prefer the zombie servers myself. I think it's Zombieland that is actually insane and honestly difficult at times. Fun to practice on and chill.
Remember, when you go onto PvE servers, always check ALL the plugins. They usually have things like /outpost and /bandit teleport as well as /home teleports, so you're not running around all the time. One I started on this week has a "minicopter licence" so you can call your mini any time, and it doesn't suffer any damage. Quite fun crashing it into the ground and bouncing all over the place for miles haha!
Man, I love this video. Such a difference from PvP Rust. Not that I don't like PvP Rust! But this video is pretty fun to watch. PvE servers have some of the nicest people on them you'll ever come across, and some of the most unique play styles you'll ever experience. EDIT: P.S. I'd LOVE to see you play a full wipe and kill the huge Bradley! Might join the server for a wipe actually. It looks quite fun!
As a newer player, I struggled to find servers that were truly beginner friendly, so I opted to split time between vanilla and PVE servers. These servers have been a great way to learn the game, monuments and tech. They can be pretty fun and a nice break from getting door camped, 5-to-1 jumped and offline raided every day.
If you're getting constantly door camped, 5 to 1 jumped and offline raided every day then you haven't learned the number one skill that new players must learn: proper server selection. Sounds like you went between two extremes; official servers to pve servers. For a new player, the best experience will be found on solo/duo vanilla community servers with 4250 or greater map size and bi-weekly or monthly wipe schedules. Servers that don't wipe BPs every month can also be good for new players that only play casually.
There’s vanilla pve, that said they can be hit or miss in having active players. I chill in a pve with active players and admins and like Brit ran into here, people are friendly and helpful to beginners.
I love rust wasteland pve, I'm incredibly bad at PVP in this game and I work full time so I don't have to to play PVP just to get offlined later, this is so chill. I'd love to see you play more of this
Same here! I like the game mechanics, but i suck at PVP, so PVE is a great way to play the game, have loads of fun and enjoy the mods poeple create like the raidable bases, the raidme command... etc
It is a great game and they have so many cool mechanics that are wasted on salty try hards that will offline you when it is time for work. These servers are nice to play and just chill, there is another one I have played that will stomp you. Npc's at all the monuments, roaming bradley. They will even raid you
@@Chaotecsix you've so echoed my thoughts... Facepunch went so hard with Rust mechanics that are totally ignored by kids who just want to door camp and swear! And then tell you this is the way the game is meant to be played 😂
@@bushguy9710 not that I'm aware of. Though some people don't use mics on the server. And the global chat should of worked. But I know if I'm using discord chat It acts up for in game chat.
@@kyntheria8229 ahhh ok. Makes sense. A lot of rp and PVE servers I played on people were always silent. Was so weird until I realized they were using discord chat
@@bushguy9710 there is normally typing in chat a fair amount. I just think he hit on a quiet time. I know the people I regularly interact with will use mic. My small group use both discord to talk in group and in-game vc to talk to others.
Honestly this seems like quite the fun experience. You can grind and progress levels while still doing raids and u can build any base you want which is honestly sick. U can have the coolest bases ever when its not all about but my base is weak now. I honestly might give it a try once I have some free time. And as u said really good for the new players to learn on. They can practice aim and raiding. The skill tree is what peaked my interest the most tho
Nice to see you do a change in pace and sound like you're actually enjoying yourself. Every now and then I get tired of Official and take a break by going PvE. It's fun being able to get a chance to run T3 monuments without zergs monopolising them 24/7. Some PvE servers have PvP zones, free PvP raid bases and full PvP 24hrs before server wipe. So many different types of servers out there.
never got into rust but always wanted to play it, but didnt end up doing it cuz of the community actually thinking about getting into it cuz of this. much love
i play a good pve server that has PVP zones if you want to actually engage in some PVP. works out good because i dont want the grind or the sweatiness of a normal vanilla server
As a dad that cant get on all the time, Pve is nice. some of the plugins i have seen are amazing

Same here, can just get up and do stuff whenever needed. At worst a bear or wolf came around and killed you when you were afk, but still possible to retrieve the backpack. :)
DUDE!!! I played this one PVE server like a year back and it was SO cool. They had a custom map with custom monuments everywhere and there was like hidden lore. Really fun server and glad PVE is gettin a spotlight!
Brit! I play as High Ping on this server and I totally recognised your voice but didn’t have my mic on! Damn it! Thanks for the lr. Please keep playing this server it’s just the best! There’s quite a huge amount to explore. You gonna keep playing here? X
Definitely wanna see more of that. It's like an overhaul of Rust in each different server and I love it. A full length wipe or two on this server could be good, see some expansion on the skill tree, higher raids etc
Hey Brit on this server you can type /home and /outpost or /bandit in chat to teleport instantly! On the rare occasions I have time to play Rust this is my goto server, sometimes my son joins me for some relaxed PVE fun!
I tend to play on Rusty Builders PVE. Found rusty wasteland can be quite pay to play if you want to run raids. PVE is definitely a nice change of pace. Nice just to build a fun RP base sometimes
I play pve battlezone extreme pve its the best pve server its still quite hard and take alot of grind still great for me as i only get 1-2hrs a day to play so never need to worry about offlines
I play PVE because I have arthritis in my fingers and it slows me down to much to play PVP. I think I must have the world record for dying the most times in a PVP wipe 🙂
I don't play this exact server but the one's I play use the same skill tree. It's fantastic for resource gather, take 10 minutes and read through them all. Also, there's a perk on the tree that allows you to one-hit all barrels with anything. Great vid!
I have been playing PVE servers for years now. the communities are awesome, its relaxing, and i can just game without stressing. i recently found a server called Zombie Land. the amount of dedication from the staff is mind blowing. they have over 300 CUSTOM raid bases, custom UI, their own friggin economy, and recently even moved away from the oh so popular RP plugin everyone runs, I REALLLLLY hope Brit makes a video on Zombie Land next. legend has it there is even a custom npc named Brit. lmao.
Come play with us on iridium pve pve/pve bosses at airfield giant Escvtr raid bases and many events server and play ran. Free one wipe vip just say milk sent you

I play a pveVp rust server. Rust empires. Pretty structured. But killing is allowed in zones. In my old age I'd rather have to not worried about being offlined.. they have way more. Cities, dungeons, quests and bosses as well as pve raids and abandoned player base raids. I love it tbh
PVE servers can be good for learning the gameplay, how too build etc. It can have alot more of AI/NPC events and raiding raidablebases. I have had some servers, most PVE, and having plenty of paid plugins, witch the NPC can also raid playerbases, after the owner of the base has either killed NPC's or done alot of raidablebases... It can be hard for new players, but good for the teamwork if all players comes together fighting the NPCS
Been waiting on Rust console to get community servers for a million years. Supposedly soon. Love the game but can’t devote the time most do and the couple times there have been PVE events it’s such a relaxing version of the game for me. Hope the come through with it soon.
Hi Brit this server is where me and my friends play you met one in this video Apsalar, loot from Heli's isnt too bad but its the Bradzilla you want to work towards. If you enjoyed this you might like another server that we play on where they have a convoy with Heli Bradley and heavies also they have Bradleys on trains and in the underground roaming they can also be on the oil rigs and cargo
In my experience, as a father of three who also works a job. I dont have time for the grind. The PvE servers with PvP areas are much better to play casually. You have all the fun of base building and exploring, while you also have the option to get some PvP action. The raid bases are fun too 👍
Which server do you play on? I'm looking for more servers that I can chill and learn on more. I only have like 45 hours and work and have 2 toddlers, so I can't really grind either
@zackbayless2856 Hi Zach, there's a great server called DOPE rust.. all the PvE goodies on it with some PvP zones at monuments. It's a 2 week wipe schedule so plenty of time for building up a cool base. My steam names Shezmond, if you ever get on I would be glad to help you out 👍
@adamsherriff3450 right on I'll check it out. And I can add ya. I never have much time to play but when I am able to I'm always happy to have someone that can show me the ropes
It's great, been my main for ages as being a parent I can't commit to a wipe on a PvP server, so nice and chill, very friendly user base and active admin!
When I first started playing Rust I started playing Rusted Reality PvE so I could learn the game without contending with huge groups. The community made me stick around, despite going to various PvP servers I keep coming back to visit. Great when you're just starting out tbh
Great to see you discovered RW. Brit but after your promo about Rust Wastelands you've actualy made the server Pay To Play(Not your fault though) since they only offer a queue bypass for donators. I'm an old player and really sad to wait 45 to 60 min. to finally join in.
Yeah it would be a nice change of pace not being zerged by some huge clan every damn time and actually enjoy the game... community servers on console will be nice af
Glad you enjoyed yourself. I have tried a lot of PvE servers in trying to learn this game the last month. They’re fun and some let you use building skins and a skin box to skin everything with skins you don’t personally own. The server owner sets what skins are available to use for free with the skinbox and usually include weird ones like those clear ones your neighbor had. I like the see through doors.
I use to play Rust when wolves dropped chicken meat and zombies still roamed. I tried to pick it back up, and I have no idea what I am doing. The community is insanely toxic now-a-days as well. This server looks right up my alley, and I will most likely be giving it a shot thanks to your video.
I personally hate the toxicity fostered in Rust by morons like Shacky, Coconut B, xQc, etc. So that's why I prefer PvE servers. Some of them are hybrid so it's PvE everywhere except certain monuments, so if you want to have PvP you still can. The people on PvE servers are almost always super cool and helpful, the exact opposite of vanilla servers.
this is my style of sever. i only get a few days a week to play rust, so a server like this gives me the freedom to take my time OR SPEED RUN. it all up in the air
I used to play full pvp with enough grind/hours etc. for many years from the early release of Legacy (started mid 2014) till early 2019, then i got sick of the toxicity from mostly kids and from a point and after so many cheaters/scripters, many of my friends quit the game because of that (and luck of time) and i lost interest in the pvp, it wasn't fun anymore, till i tested pve servers and after that point i love them , found new friends , i entered a international big clan and now when i have some free time after work i enjoy a good day of pve rust!
I love PVE servers, awesome seeing you play one. Most pve servers also have Backpacks to help you carry more stuff. Can't wait to see you do a full wipe on a PVE server. Keep up the amazing work Brit!
i play on pve/zombie/purge servers for years. Most pve servers have options to teleport, make 2-3 bases/homes, daily kits like kits for building, weapons kits etc.
Sever i use is a mix of both has pvp area eg if someone takes brad or you can make your base raidable through command . Plus a sheep of extra bots that'll chase you 5 squares across the map pmsl they are brutal!! haha Then on the last day of wipe its basically a normal server. The purge its called.
i only play on pve servers, im just not a fan of killing people and takin stuff from em, and having that anxiety of waking up and hoping my base survived the night, am just a fan of killing zombies, and raiding bases that just spawn in
I dunno man... It really is just: "Rust, if everyone was nice to each other, helped each other out, and trusted each other 100%. And as much as I prefer normal PVP Rust content, for THIS video, I'm actually genuinely disappointed that you broke server rules and stole those Rockets from the guys who were literally trying to help someone new to the server.. and gave you everything that you asked for. In fact, they might have even just gifted you the Rockets, had you asked for them!! That being said, I personally am not really wanting a wipe on this server. I'd prefer Lazarus (without Blaze is preferable, but it's your channel), The Backrooms, or hell... Even a wipe on 20,000,000x would be better than another wipe/video of _this._ No offense to anyone who likes this sorta server, but... The building and PVP kinda go hand in hand IMO... A server where you can't hurt each other, and all of your stuff is 100% fully protected by the server is for newbs and ppl who are unable or unwilling to PVP others.
Ive tried some pve servers that have pvp elements. Like some raidbases, rig, cargo, and even some monuments are PVP. For a casual player its kinda fun. But if its only PVE its gets booring to fast. So still looking for the right server. Would love a server that had: PVP all monuments. No tech tree. No pay2win PVP Purge event the 48 hours end of wipe. Some quests would be fun.
I do like the concept of PVE slightly as is does bring more of a Single Player Campaign and a Role Playing Game concept to RUST, but I also dislike it as it stifles the concept of Competition. It's the Participation Trophy aspect of PVE that I dislike. How about PVEP? I think that might work and be just as interesting, it might even help stifle Toxic Behavior.
No offense to all the content creators out there, but most of them are only good at pvp. They tend to lack skills with building, electrical, piping, farming. I remember some creator vid a few months ago talking about playing with “The best farmers in Rust”… yeah, not even close. The people that play PVE servers are typically full grown adults that are tired of playing with children and toxic 20 something’s. We build way crazier bases, with full electric, fully automated crafting and loot sorting, and farms that you would never see in vanilla. And since there is only pvp at the end of the wipe during a time called “Purge”, most PvP chads can’t handle PVE servers because it’s all they’ve got. Y’all gotta get past this obsession with killing people and blowing things up all the time. Rust is way more than that.
I run a PVE/PVP server and 40% of people are just people trying to learn the game/monuments and dabble in some friendly pvp at limited locations, 50% of people are friends from vanilla who just want to enjoy a game together without the constant racism and also want to build nice looking bases together while shooting AI, and then you have the 10% of people who join from vanilla servers who just want to "laugh at the lame PVErs". What makes the PVE servers great is not necessarily the action on them, it's 100% the people/community on them.
