This video is about Day 3 of our South Korea travel series when we reached back seoul after spending 2 amazing days in the nearby coastal town of sokcho. Here we mainly visited the local Seoul places like Hongdae Shopping Street, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gwangjang Night Market.
Hongdae shopping street is a vibrant and busy attraction in Seoul, popular with shoppers. It has many stalls offering a variety of items to buy and different foods to try. Begin your adventure at Hongdae Fashion Shopping Street. Here, you’ll be mesmerized by the abundant array of clothing stores. If you’re looking for skincare essentials, you won’t be disappointed with the choices here. These include Innisfree, Etude House, Olive Young, TONYMOLY, HOLIKA HOLIKA, and more. Don’t miss the street performances held on the main shopping street of Hongdae. Most of these are just random performances by locals who want to showcase their talents. Lastly there are plenty of street food choices to keep you energized all throughout your visit.
Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천) is one of the top things touted on lists of things to see in Seoul, South Korea. The river which starts near Gwanghwamun Square and eventually ends at the Han River is where the Seoul Lantern Festival is held each year among other popular annual events. Whether it’s summer or autumn, if you want to take a walk in downtown Seoul, this where you should go.
If Namdaemun is the oldest night market in Seoul, then Gwangjang is the oldest daily shopping market in Seoul, mostly patronized by locals picking up their weekly groceries. It's hustling, bustling, and always busy, except on Sundays, when a lot of the shops close. Gwangjang Market is notorious amongst locals for the bindaetteok, which is a massive mung bean flour pancake served hot, preferably with a couple glasses of cold makgeolli (rice wine). There are other traditional treats to discover there, but it's also a great place to shop for high-quality local goods and traditional Korean clothing. Sometimes there are even performances on the outskirts of the main building, especially right when Koreans get off work.

We are Mayur, Gayatri, and Om residing in sunny Singapore. Amongst us we have an Indian who grew up in India, a Singaporean Ceylonese who spent decade of her life in Australia and lastly our son, a true born citizen of the mixes, half Indian, half Ceylonese and very Singaporean.
