These videos are addicting. I usually get tired of channels that can-life or car-camp. I am not tired of this one. I think it is because I believe this one and could see myself doing it. I went to sleep last night plotting on how to turn my MDX into a car/camper.
I've been watching all your videos lately. You inspire me to travel and learn to cook! I also agree with you on a lot of your views and opinions. This video is so cool! When I was little I was obsessed with the idea of seeing a "frozen waterfall" and you captured it here! What an awesome and exciting life you live Rosa. Keep it up! ❤❤
Duuude seriously I would love to do this stuff. Maybe one day I can, till now I will just live thru you haha. Always happy to see your videos and hope you're doin amazing!
I really like when you give your life philosophies. It’s real and refreshing. Also cracked up at the name of the gas station before you even said anything. Could be the greatest business name ever.
Please wear a helmet, dear Rosa. In Switzerland, you are always warned because they can literally drop on your head anytime. Love your content, you have such a serene skill for capturing the beauty of this earth, so Dankeschön from Switzerland as well.
Hello Rosa👋 I’m Tam. I watched your channel last week. So, I’m a very new followers. Last night, I watched when you visited Colorado and I’m from Colorado. I was laughing from your frustration but not in a bad way. We have so much to do and site seeing around here! If you decide to come back to Colorado again, I will show you the great locations…especially, hot springs👍 we have so much in common, I don’t know where to start but keep up the making great videos and be safe out on the roads. You are my inspiration! luv what you are doing! Also, so cool to watch you singing in the car. That’s the best place to sing 🎶 only because I’m shy😛 someday, I’ll be where you are at but not making videos lol just travel. Best of luck on your next videos and journey!!
happy to show you around CO. it’s a great place, even living/camping out of a 2wd hatchback - blue bullet. sure it can be tricky, but nothing like camping in the south. CO is pretty known for a ton of public land & primitive/dispersed camping.
omg rosa visit Colorado Springs, I just left there from doing van life for 8 months of my life. I loved it so much. I escaped the negaitve degrees and came down to Texas to visit family, but once it gets pretty again, ill be heading back. Go explore Bear creak, Cheyenne canyon, 7 Falls, , The Love cove, and if you make friends with a local, ask them about the hidden water falls up Manitou Springs. You would have lots of fun! Or if we cross paths this spring/summer then I would happily be your tour guide!
I'll be heading back through Colorado in a couple of weeks, so I'll check out what you mentioned! I really want to like Colorado, but I've had "the knock" like 8 times there, and it's made me dislike it lol thanks for the recommendations!
@@lifeinmyelement Yess! stay overnight up bear creek down lower camp rd. For GPS coordinates look up bear creak visitor center and just keep going straight. I like the top part to over see the entire city and on the other side you have the view of cliffs and the Rockys. Its like the perfect scenery for videos and content. They have a portable potty as well by one of the trails and you are only like 10 mins from town. Its where I stayed and I never got a knock. Even though there is signs, dont mind them lol If you need to stay in town, stay in old Colorado city. Safeway is a good spot to overnight camp, just don't stay all day there, etc you know the drill LOL
Rosa, enjoyed your ice cave video very much!! Your cleaning of your cleats was like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! Looking forward to the next video. Nicely done!
Rosa I hope you enjoyed Rifle Ice Caves and our funny named gas station. You should visit during the spring and summer I live in Silt not far from that park
I just found you again and subscribed. I like your videos and your personality. There is newness in your perspective. I hope you never grow up if you can't laugh at name of the station. I would like to know if someone smoking crack named it. I see you still have your cooking talents. Anyway glad to see you again. Stay safe in your travels.
made it this far binge watching ..although pnw is not an area i have had the pleasure of exploring yet but i absolutely love colorado lots of blm spots that i know about so no knocks amd places to hike that are not over crowded 😁 ...on to the next video
ok, Magellan, from now on, I'm using your vids as a guide to finding all the coolest and best places to visit. in 3 weeks I am done with chemo and will be ready to SWITCH INTO GLIDE. kinda wish i had picked a different honda. but the crv i got will do nicely
Ciao Rosa... i love your adventures and your video.... thank you so much... wha a beautiful place... a big warm hug !!!!!!!! bye !!! do you love Pasta ???
@@lifeinmyelement thanks for the answer Rosa… if you find it try to cook Tortellini Giovanni Rana… there is a Factory near Chicago… in Italy are the best not Homemade…. You can find it at Costco or Walmart…. Is worth to prove it…. A big warm Hug !!!👍🏻🌹🌹🌹🥰🤗🍾🥂🥂
Always look forward to your videos ..so interesting and pretty photography. Are you able to open your hatch from the inside. I have watched videos on how to do it..but my brain shuts down.
Great attitude! Be positive. Although I worry or you eating from a wooden mixing spoon-look into it. It’s not good. Be safe, be happy and looking forward to your next vlog.
Never grow up! That store always puts a smile on my face and did when I did my first, second, third, and every other cross country trip I've done :D I hope things are ok, it's been a couple weeks now since your last video!
How do you set the tripod up and get those great shots on that slick ice flow? I would break my head trying to walk on the ice, but seems like no problem for you. Girl of many talents.
I know it's not the most palatable thing, but for people who are considering this lifestyle, I wish you would do a video on how you address toilet concerns...
Rosa I agree so many rest areas say no overnight. So rest means rest periodt. I go about 2 minutes right out parking lot to a side area and park right there and sleep when Im on the road usually in spring time. There is another youtuber who lives Colorado but I noticed she says I come visit friends but will not live there. I do see her at rest stops with her dog. Think the 4runner as I'm not a subscriber but I think many of us are done with the winter we ather already. I need 3 more tires to leave this state due to that Orwgon ice storm we had while back. One tire replaced and 3 to go then it's to the mountains and beyond lol
Yea, I feel like a lot of people like to visit Colorado for the skiing and 14ers, but not many want to live there. I'm definitely nervous because I'm headed to California soon and then have just been getting slammed with snow. Hope you get the tires soon and are off on more adventure 🥰
@@lifeinmyelement If your headed through Cali with the snow you may need to camp out right before high elevation on both sides. I have not heard of passes being shut down yet but yes slow and steady. I'ts more the norther Cali to high sisque Oregon pass. If your staying in Cali for little bit I saw Nikki Daventhal's channel and that snow cleared off roads. She drove from Colorado and in California. They told me tread on tires lower in winter. I do not use chains as well so yes this winter little up and down...one mile at a time.
The good thing about being alone is the others voices fade. Pretty much it's your voice. That is how you know your getting better. Programming your mind to the system of honest appreciation on a bad day
@@lifeinmyelement I think it's important to strike a balance between being alone and socializing with others. It's important to find a way to enjoy both activities. Being alone can be a great way to relax, recharge, and reflect. It can also be a great way to get creative and explore new ideas. Socializing with others can help you build relationships, stay connected, and learn new things. Finding a balance between being alone and socializing with others can help you lead a happier, more fulfilling life. Lot of us are weeds and some are seeds.
I had no idea ice caves were a thing or that they had a season, but I guess it makes sense. Lol Kum & Go. It'll be a sad day in life if that ever stops being funny
I feel that, I always try to realize the good things I have infront of me instead of dwelling on my inconveniences, however we definitely allowed to have our bad days
!!! Icicles Can Kill U !!! If Pointy Enough & Falls From A Good Height. It's The SAame As A Knife\Spear\Sword\Etc... LOL. Ur In The I've Been On The Road Too Long; Without Home-Grown Comforts :-))
The chain was founded by William A. Krause and Tony S. Gentle, who founded the Hampton Oil Company in Hampton, Iowa, in 1959. Hampton Oil eventually became the Krause Gentle Corporation, and is today a part of Krause Group. In 1963, Krause Gentle introduced the company's first convenience stores, selling both fuel and merchandise items, in which they changed their gas station into a "station store".[8] The Kum & Go name was adopted in 1975[9] to unify the company's array of stores under a single brand. It was a play on the phrase "come and go" using the initials of founders Krause and Gentle.
How do you find these places? Word of mouth? I love the solitude. I’ve gone skiing in Colorado. Not impressed with the state either. Skiing was great. ❤❤❤
Honestly. I've been on the road for 6 years. I've kinda just built up a list and now I'm revisiting a lot of my favorite places and taking you guys along with me!
@@lifeinmyelement Thanks for taking us along. I’d also te-visit these places. They are amazing. You’ve motivated me to start hiking local parks and preparing for bigger adventures ❤️❤️❤️
I’m building out my new to me 2003 Element for a trip in May. Leaving our Gypsy Skollie in NH . Too expensive on gas. What’s your must see’s in the 4 corners area.
Colorado hate makes me so sad because you just don’t know the good places to camp and see. Please check out grand lake the next time you’re there. It’s free to get there and beautiful camping up the side roads by the town.
It's okay. I'm driving through Nebraska right now and also watching RU-vid lol. I'm not going to be much help in GA to CO. I haven't spent a lot of time in that area, besides Nashville. Sorry! Hope you have a safe trip 🥰
Sorry..Rosa, each state has certain rules. It sounds like Florida also doesn’t like van lifers either. One other U-tuber lady thought she was in trouble and she hadn’t even done anything wrong. Guess the cop in Florida figured he’d for warn her in advance. And she herself also say she wasn’t looking to get in trouble.
Nah, I was in the process of driving to PA to visit family. Once I get past colorado, there isn't much to see, so I just book it to PA with very few stops.
