Jerome Sharpe correct but in my case more often than regular maintenance. We had two my dad bought damn near brand new when I was in school for our logging business. They didn’t hold up any at all in the swamp, along with the trouble we constantly had with their diesels we quit buying ford products altogether. They make it hard as hell for shade tree mechanics like myself to work on. Me and my dad threw so many wrench’s across the room it was ridiculous. And two piece spark plugs???? Who’s bright idea was that. You can be a ford fan all you want but you gotta say they fucked up real good on that one.
@@tomboy1875 I bought another 2003 F150 5.4l after losing a 2003 150 5.4 in the camp fire disaster. It runs great. The only thing I did to it that I did not do myself we had the dealership replace the sparkplugs and coil packs at 150k. That way they did the updated ones that fixed the issue and it was under warranty. Lost that truck at 260k still going strong. My "new" truck only has 120k on it and I will go in and have the plugs and coils replaced just for peace of mind since it is running great with no issues at all. And I don't baby my trucks. I hit the back country hard hunting and fishing. i treat them like a truck not a car.

Hey I just wanna say are used to have a truck like Larry but mine was an XLT model super crew cab lifted 6 inches I loved that thing it was a great truck but stuff happened and now I got a 99 Tacoma regular cab and I love it as well but kind of wish I had my Ford still even though it was that gas guzzler to buy the truck for gas mileage anyway 😂
TimTheGamer just don’t get the 4.6l v8. They good engines but now a whole lot of power. I’ve got a 2006 f150 with the 4.6l. It’s okay but it struggles. I did pull a tractor and trailer that totaled about 8000 pounds and it did okay though

Talking about common sense If everyone had the attitude of I can drive around it’s okay all your doing is increasing traffic flow which can increase the rate of accidents and exposure to first responders. Also will cause more ppl to stop at places while they are out driving around like gas stations bathrooms fast food Common sense.
