It was; I've never seen anything else like it. There were a few around Northwest India but this was the most impressive.

Fun fact: The Dark Knight Rises (Batman) was shot in that step well and in jodhpurs palace.

Oh!!! I had heard that it was filmed in Jodhpur, but didn't realize it was in those locations. Cool! I'll have to rewatch that movie now.

In June-July the monsoon rains start and the stepwell fills up. The green sauce; was it mint chutney? Why was the dog sleeping in the flowerpot? 😂

Haha, yes Mint Chutney. We learned that on one of our last days after asking for 'the green sauce' in many places.

It would be so neat to see the stepwell filled up! I don't know why the dog slept there 🤣 maybe it was a little cooler, or maybe it kept the flies away from his face? It was cute though.

You will find the best stepwell in Gujarat, known as Rani ki vav. Our 100 rupee note also have a image of this stepwell. That is the best one in India. Have nice travel. Welcome to India.

Ah, I wish I had known about the 100 rupee note. We could have got a great shot with the stepwell.
