They have lots of trails for beginners to get out ride safely in. Today we found their gnarliest trails Cease and Desists and in just few runs got second on Strava. I can’t wait to take the Scott Ransom 930 back and let the KOM

Hey man, what trails did you take to get to the flow trail/jumps there?

I went around city park until I ran into the power like cut. It goes straight up the hill and I just pushed to the top. Once you get to the top of the clearing you will see the jump line on the right.

Ty, it was pretty fun trail. Apparently the local think the drop at the end is rock roll. 😂🤣😂

They build trails there. I find a new trail every time I go there.

Thanks buddy, this Scott Ransom just eats up the trail. Word on the street is the rock drop at the end is supposed to be a rock roll. When I rode up to it the first time I hit the brakes a wee bit. Then realized it was just a little drop and went for it. It just seemed like the natural line. 🤷🏽

@BMXPete Definitely eating up everything you have thrown at it so far in the past videos impressive bike and skills. I haven't ridden there yet as to the fact that I heard it is best to ride with someone who knows the trails. I was going to go a couple weeks ago and pulled up on trail forks and dude I was so confused.

The 4th double from the top is so unexpected. Way to crush that 3rd run.
@BMXPete
@BMXPete Год назад
Yeah, it should be the 5th double for sure. For some reason people who aren’t used to jumping have a tendency to build jump like that. Thanks !!!

Blue/gold is a 12mi loop, pink/purple is around 9mi loop. Red/white people hiking and walking their dogs while the whites are connector trails linking everything together. Pink/purple holds water more so best to stay up top on blue/gold after rain. Once you learn the connectors, you can take out some of the climbing . Im still learning all the connectors and continue to find little hidden features each time I go out.

How old are these trails? When I left Huntington in 2015 these we're not here to my knowledge. We were always riding Barboursville, Beech Fork, and Kanawa State Forest

They are pretty new. They have only been there for about three years. These guys are building mile after mile of trail every month. Almost every city park has some mountain bike trails in them now.

Awesome. Someday I will be able to get back up there and ride. Fayetteville is getting more and more trails also. Would love to see an updated video of the Barboursville trails

@@JasonScottCarter Things have really exploded here a good bit since you left. Beech Fork hasn't changed much. Hurricane as added almost 30 miles of trails at Meeks Mountain. All the old trails at Barboursville are still there, plus there's been several newly developed trails. There's been a downhill bike park added at Herritage Farm in Huntington. (ATV ride to the top, bike down, repeat.) There's also a new trail development starting up in Huntington, back in the hills across the creek from the gravel path that goes from Ritter Park down to Safety Town. There's also 3 very active youth MTB teams in the area too (Cabell, Putnam, and Kanawah) with probably 150+ kids between the 3. There's a LOT of MTB activity going on!

Oh man, Cease and Desist was actually dry enough to run? Every time I've gone up there, there's a mud pit at the bottom of every jump. Also, dropped the rock roll on there? Baller.
@BMXPete
@BMXPete Год назад
Thanks, every roll is drop if you go fast enough LOL. It was weird there was a wet spot at one point, but the trails were almost crusty dry in some corners. I did this run yesterday. So it should be running a bit better today If it didn't rain down there.

@@BMXPete Trails were surprisingly dry yesterday. Didn't make it up to Cease though. Gonna have to try it again next time. Maybe they've worked on the drainage? They've been doing a lot of maintenance.
