The only way i would say it's all a dream is when their is a spin-off game were all the creators of the OG game are even scarier and more agressieve and and the end it turns out Riley woke up from a nightmare not long after subnautica with PTSD from what happened

Well I think the only argument really explaining it is that the precursor "knowledge" is only available to high-ranking Alterra employees which Ryley isn't :) but yeah, it's quite far fetched!

@@operator2393 well the reason why you have to go around scanning everything is because the PDA is damaged and boots in emergency mode, the damage could have removed whatever was blocking him access from all of those blueprints

Well... the precursors themselfs said in the data we collected in the game, that infected individuums arent allowed to leave the planet, so they basically left them there to die or killed them for safety reasons. Or they all got eaten by a leviathan ^^

You could definitely be right :) who knows, for the first theory - I still believe the base could’ve been nearby and just gotten covered by the debris ejected out by the crash (as evident in the cash zone mesas).

@@TheLastBacon Yes definitely, but they couldn't be too close to the aurora because I fought they want to be right next to reaper leviathans. The reapers probably didn't just show up when the aurora crashed. I don't know if you count this but there was a large pit under the aurora where sea dragons would come up to eat reapers meaning there were reapers there before the crash. That's just what I think, good video. It helped me keep my sanity while stuck in my house.

@@imagirlmusic the first theory can be debunked with a few simple in-game speculations: Bart's base was located in a safe shallows biome, and we of course know that reapers don't populate safe shallows (hopefully), and as the PDA says that the player woke up 3 hours after the crash, it's probably not possible that the reapers could have already migrated to the area. For that i speculate that the reapers were already present in the area, which makes Bart Torgal's base sorta impossible to exist there (because, y'know, reapers. maybe he used creative mode though idk). if the entire crash site was somewhat covered by the safe shallows, the entire area would've been covered by debris, which would probably be near impossible. if there was a safe shallows biome there, we should atleast see some of the plantlife still existing in the area. through the trailer we see that the aurora doesn't crash right on top of the base, which means that the safe shallows there wouldn't even be covered by the wreck. if it was located in the safe shallows that weren't covered by the aurora then we would've seen it in game. ps. i don't even know if anything in this made sense but i'm commenting it anyways.

@@infernec Yes, I know, I already mentioned all of what you said to bacon, especially the reapers already being in the area of the crash because of the sea dragons that would come and eat them. However, as last bacon said in his reply to me, the base could have been in the safe shallows near the crash and they were studying the leviathans, but the base was buried by the sand that was displaced in the aurora crash.

@@imagirlmusic it would actually work quite like that, but if they were studying leviathans, wouldn't the base be a bit too close for comfort? it would feel alot too risky of an approach to build a seabase in the middle of a reaper-infested area. as we already see in the trailer, the base is of course in open waters. i don't honestly know if the theories would go this far, but i atleast wanted to share an opinion.

Edit: I think it was the black box data considering - Lifepods 01 - 25 launched successfully - Human lifesigns detected over long range T+8hrs: 1 - Personnel unaccounted for: Non-Essential System Maintenance Chief Ryley Robinson - Monitoring equipement failed at T+13hrs

Yep Bart got bored or dementia one day and saw there were more people on the planet so he took his survival knife out and started cutting at the people and taking their body’s for food (that’s why there isn’t bodies) the only reason the player wasn’t hunted is because by the time Bart got to him the player already had a sea glide and a survival knife too so Bart retreated into his mountain base and threw himself into the reapers grasp because he knew he would get charged with the murders

I believe the only reason subnautica below zero happens in that after Riley escapes on the Neptune rocket alterra got the data from his PDA+Scanner and went “holy shit there’s a lot of cool tech for the taking there.” And that’s why they sent more missions to 4546B.
