While I didn’t get around to seeing even half of what I had hoped to see in New Orleans, we had a great time and will definitely be back. Today, I’m sharing what I did while we were in NOLA. Spoiler alert, there wasn’t much writing. Still, I'm so grateful to be on this journey!

That looked so cool, have added the aquarium to my must see list when I visit New Orleans! I am still behind too. I am sneaking up on 22,000 I think. The duct tape should hold. It's frustrating I know. Good luck... 😘

So sorry to hear about your car! I loved visiting New Orleans many eons ago. What you did see of it looked super fun! I love true crime/ghosty sorts of tours. I'm still plugging along with my writing but not nearly as far as I should be. But I'm counting every bit as a win, considering how crazy my November has been. Enjoy your time in Houston! :)

It’s been a rough couple of days my IBS flare up has caused me to feel miserable. I have been just doing personal journaling. I am on my narcotic pain medication today since my regular pain medications aren’t helping. My joints are so painful today. Probably due to it being so cold here today. I have my two blankets and my squishy pillows. I have my heating pad on. Hoping to feel better tomorrow. I don’t think my writing project final draft will get started today.

Nothing useful from me - I'm not a writer and not doing NaNo - but I just wanted to send you some encouragement. You've got so much on your plate, and I hope that *today*, *right this very second* you have peace in your decisions. Because what I see and admire and what keeps me coming back to your channel is a woman doing the best to prioritize the important stuff: physical and mental health, the people she loves and is responsible for, and her job (which also takes care of the people she loves and is responsible for). Loved seeing the stuff you bought (totally my kind of shops!) and I was so fascinated by the mention of Marie Laveau and Jacque Saint German that I had to look them up (you know how I love history!) Sounds like you and your family had fun and that's the main thing.

I love that you got to spend the night of a full moon in New Orleans! I’ll bet that energy will inspire more writing soon. Your Shopping is amazing. I can never be tired of tish kind of Shopping. The book looks to be the Standard A4 size that those of us in Europ is used to.

My favorite city! We honeymooned there in 1981 and I fell in love with the city. We have a timeshare (purchased a couple of days before Katrina!) and try to visit a couple of times a year. We have made so many very dear friends there. I'm glad you enjoyed it and yes, you definitely need to go back again.

LOVE NEW ORLEANS! It's one of those rare cities that legitimately has something for everyone. Not only that but the food... 🤤 I swear it seems like I gain 20 lbs every time I go there because holy hell everything is delicious. Edit: Also, Jefferson, TX is famous for the ghost tour there. It's regarded as one of the most haunted towns in the country. Totally worth it if you're ever in northeast Texas in the future.

Coming late to this - so not sure you will ever see this comment, but those eye wash cups are amazing for when kids feel like they have something in their eyes. I have one I inherited from a family member and kept it because it looked alchemical and cool. But my kid likes it because he can wash his eye himself.

Hope to visit New Orleans one of these days. Sorry about the side mirror! That happened to my husband's truck. Person never stopped. Now we push the side mirrors in on all our vehicles. Karma - double on them!! I'm getting words written but I'm not happy with the direction of story. Feels like I'm veering off BUT I will worry about that in December. LOL Should hit 40K today after I finish catching up on my journaling.

On the 11th I had 12847 and didn’t write anything until the 16th. I’ve been writing like a fiend trying to catch up and just hit 29743 and the story isn’t complete jibberish…I think.

Hi Sarra. I'm so glad you got to hit some of the places you wanted to see and at least one outing with the kiddos. Bummers on the mirror, but fixeable and you'll be in Houston for a few days, giving George the time to deal with that... and you all are safe. Man.. Full Moon ritual in New Orleans. Super cool. I drove for a few months with a red duct tape to my drivers mirror. It worked fine until they could get the part in. Have safe travels! Xox

I have the witch’s tarot too! I love it. Mine has a very nurturing mentor kinda vibe when I work with her. Do you find your decks have certain…personalities for lack of a better word? My golden riderwaite deck is tough love/straight talk, and my robin wood is an old friend.

I took Frday off completely because I was drained after my Grandmothers wake but I was able to get about 1300 today after the funeral. I have a 10 hour car ride (being driven) back to KY so I will be able to get some words in

I had someone clock into the back of my car recently and ruin the back sensors (and of course not leave details!), it's such a draining and frustrating thing. Loved the using the duct tape, practical fixes ftw.
