You´re right Nick. There´s a Namibia for first-timers that cannot miss Etosha, Swakop, or Sossusvlei. And then, there's another Namibia for those who want to go beyond and discover the hidden gems of Caprivi. There's no right or wrong. But there's a difference between "what you see " and "what you feel". There are very few places where you still can "feel" the African bush and one of them is Nkasa Rupara NP.
Any trip to Namibia and it’s wonderful game parks is worth it. You will never regret the journey, the wonderful landscapes, the wild animals, and you will want to return to this remarkable country again.
Thanks for the tour Nick. I've been to Etosha years ago. I'm missing my home country, it's soil, the people, the food, and it's animals. I enjoyed your tour. I'll visit it next time when I go back to Namibia. Cheers Nick!!!
Good content as usual. And wish things would improve overally and 5410 can roll out season 2... FYI. We are 5410 Africa so don't change the name. The dream had to live despite these minor setbacks. You started the journey and it's our duty to dream of finishing it. More Namibia, while we wait for the money to roll in. Will be back as Patreon again soon 👌👌👌👌🙈🙈🙈 Ps, you are my son's friend whether you like or not 😂
haha, thanks🙂 Yip that's the plan. Regroup, learn from the mistakes and maybe in the future if the financing is there restart the trip. It's an honour to be his favorite, say hi to your son👋🏻
I have just stumbled across your channel……..absolutely brilliant, you are a likeable person, your enthusiasm and info portrayed in your videos is great. I am sitting planning my next Nam trip (north) with the Go mag and your videos. My missus and I travel in a similar manner to you, Safari Bow and our Hilux……simple and light weight. Wishing you all success!!
One day i will make my way to your beautiful country neighbour, I'm still sad you couldn't go through your initial plan, but this format is also cool... Keep up up the good work..🤜🏽🤛🏾🇿🇦
I really appreciate these videos, I’m a long time subscriber & your videos have helped me travel safely & also educated me in my own country Every time I get a notification of your videos I hit a like before watching cause I know the content is amazing and educative for us travel lovers … Thank you for your effort we are here with you all the way
Thanks mate. Have been watching your channel here and there for a few months. Thinking of doing a overland in Namibie in the next 5 years or so, might look you up and see what servies you offer
Great to see you on the go Nick, brilliant episode, first time hearing of Nkasa, will love to visit, do you know if fishing is allowed in the Park since it borders 2 big rivers? Thank You Mo
One of my favourite parks in the Caprivi and you are right about the experience of the park. Part of the attraction is that it is quiet and remote. It’s also a bit prettier after the rains in April. (Better hippo and buffalo sightings ) Although Livingstone Camp is nice base. I would be keen on camping at one of the parks sites next time. They look nicely situated along the river. It is in my opinion a great park to experience with other parks in the region. Our challenge at the time was to see if we could get to the Linyanti River. When there is too much water it is almost impossible. Thanks for taking me there again. Lekker Vid 👍
Thanks for the message👍 couldn't agree more, but i guess its the luxury of time that allow some to enjoy the smaller parks whilst other have to be more selective. Not sure if I missed something, but there are no campsites inside the park... only the Rupara & Jackalberry lodges....
My experience with/at Caprivi is exact the same you describe in your video. good to have you back Nick - stay with the name and your style - regards from Germany
As I understand you can still visit but a lot of the park cannot be accessed, but Ive never been there in the rainy season so wont be able to confirm. Maybe contact the lodges and try and get some info from them. Jackalberry is quite deep in...
I've been there in the wet season, long ago when there were no bridges. In one of the multiple water crossings, the water came up to the hood of my Hilux. I guess it's different now with the bridges, but still plenty of mud. As for the Park, I'd do the first game drive with one of the lodge's vehicles (they know the park like the back of their hand) and then decide if you want to do it again on your own.
