Exploring One of Tokyo's Largest & Most Famous Festivals: Sanja Matsuri 

Considered one of the wildest and largest festivals in Japan, Sonja Matsuri attracts over 2 million people to Tokyo during the month of May. The Sonja Matsuri festival is held each year to honor the three founders of the Sensoji Temple dating back to 628. The Festival features around 100 mikoshi, portable shrines into which Shinto gods are symbolically placed. There is food, drinks, and shops for all to enjoy.
