I stayed there in 1990 the best building in the world... There was everything in the building evin night clubs. People from Russia all over the world lived there... There was hairdressers banks supermarket laundry everything was there... But 1994 everything changed... I missed the 90,s. Thanks for the video.. As someone who spent a lot of my childhood here 30-40 years ago the building is completely unrecognizable. Literally can’t reconcile what I’m seeing with what I remember from my childhood. There is an overwhelming sense of decay that is sad to see. Like something out of an eastern block country.
Can I ask what you were standing on when you went to the middle of the building towards the end ? I understand rubbish was dumped 5 stories high and I had read also 15 bodies were found underneath the rubbish as well. It looks like white dirty sand. I THINK it is exposed ROCK on which PONTI is actually built - which made in LOOKED like the dirt was 5 stories high... a Person can actually see that the "Rock" runs at an angle: higher at the back - lower to the front where the entrances are. I am surprised how easy he just drove in, parked and did the tour... UNLESS it was pre-arranged with management. I DO PRAY THAT THE BLACKS IN SOUTH AFRICA STOP TO THINK THAT CHAOS & "EVERYTHING IS MY RIGHT-ATTITUDE" does not mean FREEDOM. I really dont know what was the purpose of this video. If you where trying to look for some gangsta high rise dangerous apartment block your are in the wrong country. While this 50+ block may not be the Ritz, it looked relatively neat, the lifts are working, no drug paraphernalia or bodily fluids all over the place. And no domestic violence being showcased on the balconies. Ive lived in the UK and visited Europe and the US and I know of appartment blocks there you won't visit even if they offered to pay you. You definitely wont be doing a RU-vid video there as not only would you get your phone stolen but you would also get your head kicked in or even stabbed. So what was the message underlying this video. I hope it wasn't some subconscious racist implied message? I'm just asking
This building is infamous because it was occupied back in the 90s... If you check the date, it is not the 90s anymore. That is why it looks better and there isnt trash and murdered people in the center pit bottom of the building.

Are you a racist or what? I've lived in Europe and visited the US and there are apartment blocks you wouldn't go in if they paid you. Filthy, dirty and drug infested areas where anyone recording the place will be lucky if they only got their camera stolen and not got knives or their head kicked in. And the lifts are working up to the 50+ floor. I wonder what city you live in? Are there such apartment blocks there. Go and find them and try to film them.
