Vehicle Simulator… never thought I’d ever hear someone say that name. It was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE game to play back in 2020! I played it every day for months and I remember when it used to have 5K+ players daily, would always be on the front pages, had car meets, even roleplays rom time to time. It even had a DeLorean 🙀!!! The game was something else at the time, and was super fun for everyone who played it. But then Simbuilder released the update. A new map (One which I personally disliked) and car models which a lot of people agreed were horrible. If that update was never released, maybe the game would still have a chance today. I still play it sometimes, but I always get reminded of the update that ruined its reputation as one of the best driving games at the time. Hopefully it comes back one day, even though that definitely won’t happen. Thanks for reminding me of such a great game. (Please don’t say “I ain’t readin’ allat” 🙏😭) Edit: So Simbuilder was arrested in 2023 for bringing a gun to RDC. No wonder there hasn't been updates. Now there's pretty much no possibility of the game ever reviving 😔

one thing i loved is how smooth driving simulators gameplay is.

Driving Simulator was insanely well optimized, reflecting its high player cap, which was hard to come across at the time. It's a huge shame that it died off like it did. Drive City's circuit races were actually very good, and you could hand anyone's rear to them if they weren't built for the race at hand, which I frickin ADORED. You have no idea how good it felt to beat a Ferrari in a Camaro. It's even worse that it had to be closed down as a whole, as opposed to just losing popularity. Finally, I was an alpha tester for Vehicle Simulator, and it fell off REALLY hard. Vehicle Simulator completely fell apart after the Hot Wheels event with the introduction of freebie cars like the tub rod, ruining the balancing and encouraging players to only race at the airport with top-tier cars to get tons of cash. On top of that you could NEVER find anyone to do races that involved cornering, unless it was the highway race which only took wall-riding to complete. In a way, Vehicle Simulator destroyed itself thanks to both the community AND SimBuilder's decisions. Don't get me wrong, that also sucks, but it was time for it to be put out of its misery at that rate. An honorable mention, however, should be REV//. It's insanely obscure as of right now, but the physics were immaculate, the driving felt SO good, the cars were completely original, and now literally nobody is playing it and that makes me sad.

If there ever is a part 2, I got a game in mind Checkpoint racing unleashed It had a lot of customization to its cars, but it never got anymore major updates.

I played Vehicle Simulator back when the game was in its earlier development stages in 2015. I'd be the only one playing for days at a time sometimes. Every vehicle was spawned not through U.I, but by those old purple spawner blocks that we all know and love from old Roblox. The community was really chill and SimBuilder was more community focused back then. It's heartbreaking to see how one of my old classic favorites got basically swept up by money and greed. The map from back then was a small city with a mountain to the side, and a large highway surrounding it. Was truly a lot of fun.

Man, i remember playing vehicle simulator every day and speaking with others and watching mlg and funny videos about the game, but now i rarely see new videos about the game, and i haven't played that game since 2020. And back then i would play car games everyday and i have played all the games you mentioned, still gives me chills.

The 2nd to last one and the last one gave me so much nostalgia 🥹 2015 Roblox and 2016 Roblox is extremely memorable. I was in 9th grade grinding roblox games in the library. Like everyday i remember. 🤣

Vehicle Simulator was like the true pioneer of Roblox vehicle games. I played it once, got addicted but eventually it just got boring, then all kind of stuffs happened and now I barely even remember that it existed until this video popped up on the main page.

for the fact i remember playin all of these especially vehicle simulator but its just been so long since i have played these games i forgot about them its so crazy seein how bad they fell off

i really never played a ton of racing games on roblox, but one that i remember playing all the time was Checkpoint Racing v5.1 (used to play it back in 2018-2020 when the game was relatively popular), i loved the crash physics and how fun it was, now its just completely dead which honestly sucks

I was a mod for vehicle simulator back in 2020, and it was getting very hard to work with all the drama that happened back then

Vehicle Sim and Drive City were my all-time favorites I remember back then grinding endlessly in vehicle sim to obtain the roadster and I remember working hard in Drive City to obtain Santa's Sleigh, Man times were great back then.

i was so hooked on this game and watched so many videos (unfortunately I never got to play it at its peak because I was mobile and no mobile support yet)

as someone that has talked to and and worked with simbuilder, its sad to see the game go like this.

6:54 - Honestly, this was the game I played before MR:T and I had good memories of playing it during the Halloween event back in middle school. It still is good, but the reason it was in decline was the devs wanted to pass the baton on but no one really took it. So what we got were some funny content after that, but things never were really the same again. The peel p50 got nerfed for one And the players dropped, As well as the appeal, after I picked up Midnight Racing: Tokyo, which just got a recent highway update. That’s also the days I played pixel car racer on my phone, but I’ve now switched to Apex Racer with it’s actual storyline narrative and better events. It’s based off pixel car racer but just as fun, and better maintained.

I vividly remember playing Driving Simulator after discovering CC2. I had some fun for a few hours and never played again infact.

I used pro play vehicle tycoon when I first joined roblox. In fact, it was the first game I ever played on roblox

Palm ridge was also an amazing project that everyone was waiting for, an anticipated alpha game, with insane graphics. but about 2 years ago, they released beta, and they stopped updating and it died. but now, i see its starting to slowly get more players. Hopefully it doesnt die out

I played Vehicle Simulator extremely frequently from July 2017 up until late 2021. I did everything from meeting longtime friends, vibing in the apartments, having fun with glitches and rag dolling. Helping random players do the map-wide puzzle for the Starry Galaxy camo (before it became free to everyone). Flying the helicopter to the moon to look at the secret Tesla Roadster easter egg back when Elon launched a Roadster into space (which doesn't exist anymore on the new map). Car meets & races, chase rp's, flinging players cars with the "Thanos Truck", buses, tow trucks, swat van, and the yacht, and many more. Hated the new map, I always loved the original one. I really miss the tomfoolery and shenanigans I did on VS with my friends and occasionally getting the whole server's attention on whatever crazy stuff was happening. I was really concerned when I got notifications from the summit studios discord of Simbuilder acting weird last year on the summit studios server spamming: "WE ARE TRANSFORMING" "IGNORE THE FOOLS FOCUS ON THE VISON" "I will show you all" "FIX THE COMMUNITY" 'WE HAVE TO INCREASE THE IQ" and then other people spamming: simbuilder? i was simbuilder once. they locked me in a verse. a metaverse. a metaverse with schizoposting. and schizoposting makes me simbuilder. Then couple months later we all know what happened to Simbuilder. 🗿 Vehicle sim still has a very special place in my heart and my Roblox history. But nowadays I put more time into Midnight Racing: Tokyo since I've been playing it since October 2019.

i remember spending most of my time playing and grinding out all the vehicles in Vehicle Sim, and making freinds with someone named weiso or weisco something, playing everyday and everynight. owning multi million $$ cars

rip vehicle sim, i have easily over 50-100m worth of cars on there. sad to see it dead, and nostalgic remembering all the trends such as neon cars and galaxy skins.

there are two games i remember that used to be super or at least semi-popular: Drive-Shaft: Vurse and Auto Club Sport. These two games came out around 2017-2018 and were like super well known for vehicle selection and customization. The car models were actually pretty good and the gameplay was super fun due to their immersive maps. I don't know exactly why both of these games aren't a thing anymore (you can still play them of course but no one is playing them), but from what I remember Drive Shaft's UI kind of broke and the developers stopped investing time into the game, along with tons of exploiters. Auto Club, I'm unaware of why it isn't popular anymore.

No one has mentioned rev//. Good physics, good map, good graphics and cool races. Super popular in 2020-2021, now zero active servers. They talked aboit a revamp under a new title but I couldn’t find anything

I was an Alpha player for Vehicle Simulator, so I've made quite a number of memories in that game. I remember the discord server being so active at the time, even Simbuilder was on there. I'm pretty sure the downfall of the game started when Simbuilder started adding fictional-looking cars, and started to replace the existing real-looking ones as well. Customization of VS was peak at the time, camber, wheels, wraps, you name it. He kinda broke the suspension system at some point and never tried bothering to fix it. People complained about that, cars being changed, and newer cars not looking too good. People held on to that for a while, but soon enough the playerbase gradually decreased, and new, better-feeling games were released with models that looked a hundred times better. That's what probably killed the Simbuilder the community knew. I've followed him over the years on Twitter and it was sad to see what eventually spiralled him to madness. He kept posting about cryptic stuff that didn't make sense at all, and just straight out lazed from even updating the game. He continued to claim about having so many ideas about the game and whatnot, but none of those came into fruition. The community just collapsed eventually and here we are. It was a good run, can't lie. It's just a bit sad on how much potential the game had especially with its reputation. If only it was acquired by big publishers at the time. Unfortunately, it was already way behind the things we had.

I used to play driving simulator and vehicle simulator almost daily, every chance I had the free time. They were fun, but unfortunately the games stopped updating and I moved on to Ultimate Driving
