Jumbo serves one of the best chilli crabs and certainly the higher priced one if not the most. Clark Quay is the oldest of the buildings around the area while the jumbo one is so much newer. You were actually stepping on one of the most iconic history of Singapore at Clark Quay. It was a place where the early immigrants worked along the river unloading from the boats that came and into the warehouse which are refurbished to be the many restaurants we see nowadays. Hope you enjoy it here and all the best in your new destination! 🥂
Thanks for taking time to comment ! I guess we have to come back to try the jumbo chilli crab 😂it sounds amazing Clarke Quay is just beautiful and the rich history just adds to its beauty Thank your for reaching out and thank you for watching 🙏🏻
Welcome to Singapore!! Just some tips from a local...Actually the fried buns & crab meat is eaten by dipping into the gravy,(, so normally by the end of the meal, most eater will scoop up the last drop, as a good chilli crab depend on the gravy) anyway seeing that both all you ENJOY your trip & foods is waht really matter....ENJOY & ALL the BEST in Every Day !!!👋
You have to come to Singapore for christmas and New Year. On new years eve, at the barge, the fireworks start at 10.30pm and it goes on until 12 am. We just open changi airport terminal 2. They have wonderfall. I just wentvto marina bay sand. The christmas is so maigical and beautiful. You will love Singapore.
When you are here next, go to 239 Outram Road for the same the restaurant has to offer but at local prices. 😊 Or better, give me a shout and I will bring you two there for a treat
Its a Dungeness Crab you ate, according to the bill, not a mud crab. See video at 14:28. That's why its so expensive. These are imported from afar and more costly. Mud crabs are more local (although most are from Indonesia or Sri Lanka). You get larger claws on Mud Crabs.
The local dish is made with mud crab from the surrounding region. Sri Lankan is the best. If your server suggests any other crab, change the restaurant.
Since you love chili crab u should come back singapore often to have eat chili crabs more. Anyway I seen wrong seafood paradise the tanks there is not mud crabs. You need to find them in hawker centre and they are cheaper. Like now u had the crab at seafood paradise cost you around 200. You get 2 mud crabs probably 120? Sri lanka crab look similar to mud crab usually 1kg or more per piece. If you able to get probably 2 crabs for 200? I ownself think most of the crabs taste similarly. Important is the sauce for the chili crab must be good.
yes rhe restaurant is notorious for getting tourists to orderer dungeoneoss or alaskan king crabs because they can charge more even tho the standard for chilli crabs should be Sri lankans mud crabs, whcih is what u will find everywhere else
