Thank-you for posting the videos about the Port Alberni area. I lived in Port Alberni most of my life and did a lot of backroad exploring with my Dad who passed away a couple of years ago. I moved out of the Valley 6 years ago but do miss the Island very much. I know the area around Mt. Arrowsmith quite well. If you can I would see if you can get a hold of the old Mac & Bloe maps that showed most of the back roads. We found them to be more accurate than any thing else. Although some will be decommissioned a lot will still be open to the public.
