Exploring the Coast | CAMBRIA & SAN LUIS OBISPO 

That antiqueshop was the morgue in the spider movie Aranchnapobia, Cambria was called Canaima in the movie. The whole movie was pretty much filmed there

Cambria brings back decades of many fond memories. Just it's north, Moonstone Beach is a surfers paradise with the biggest waves in the county. The stretch of Highway 1 from Cambria north is my idea of paradise. If you're ever in the area again, Morro Bay has a HUGE colony of Sea Otters. They are in the Bay side, just opposite the Rock. By the way, Morro Rock is thought to be a giant plug from a volcano that had since erroded away. Many peregrine falcons call the Rock home. People with spotting scopes are usually there, and they'll gladly let you have a peek. More extinct volcanoes line the way along Highway 1 to San Luis Obispo. They are commonly called "The Seven Sisters".

We moved to Cambia in 2007 and are still here! Thank you for filming our town. You'd be surprised how many of the shops have changed in the past two years. Come on up again after this virus scare is over!

Loved the Cambria tour. Friends of mine spent an afternoon there a year ago and described Cambria as being very artsy, so seeing it was a bit of a thrill. San Luis Obispo, wow it has a bubble gum wall of fame. Ill have to remember to bring a set of foodservice gloves if I ever go there. Thanks Big J. I'm loving these California day trips.....Cali has the best coast line ever.

Looks like such a dreamy place. I love the little blue house antique shop with the cat on the roof. It would be fun to wander the aisles and find some treasures. The bubble gum walls were such a startling surprise, very remarkable. 🙂 looks like a fun trip! Thanks for taking us along.

I was born and raised in eastern Washington during the 70’s and we always referred to soda as pop. Of course some advertisements would call it soda pop or simply soda but it was pop to us kids.

Wonderful vlog. Sometimes it's just best not to hurry and enjoy where you are. California does have a lot of beautiful coastline. Makes for great vlogs. I love all the little shops. Just my kind of place. I bought Malo cups when I went back to Ohio. I don't know about the Madonna Inn. Guess I'll have to come back tomorrow and see it? It's great you find things even us people that were born and raised in California don't know about and share it. Thank you so much for showing me something I haven't seen before. lol in Texas we call it soda pop. Great vlog, enjoyed exploring Cambria with you today, some place i'd never get to. We have a town near Austin called Gruene (pronounced green) that reminds me a lot of it. Has the oldest dance hall in Texas, where Willie Nelson pops into from time to time.

Dude, you only saw half of Cambria. Go across the highway for the rest, and Moonstone Beach! :) The best pizza place ever is at the end of the street in the other part! You can catch the free trolley and ride it all over through the houses etc. Such a fun place. Every Christmas the Cambria Pines Lodge goes crazy with lights. Please check it out!
