Beverly Hills is the real deal on making feel like you don’t belong there, not so much bc of the people’s personalities but bc the people there look so freaking rich. I have only been there ones and I’m an LA native. Lol.

I want to move to Los Angeles some day, I see Channel’s like this for New York but none for Los Angeles I wait weeks for your videos to come out I love your channel!!!!

My wife does hair appointments at Sassoon salon every 3 months or so in BH. I regularly take the kids to that Canyon park while she is getting her hair done. The playground is awesome. You end up hanging out with the Nannies and also some parents that want to see their kids recreate. We take turns pushing the merry go round. Fruit vendor always there as well. Seemed pretty normal against the backdrop of extremely expensive mansions.

Moving to LA soon, can you please do a video on walkable neighbourhoods and/or neighbourhoods that have the best high rise apartments? Nice vid!

I work in that neighborhood, this woman I help out once every 4 weeks pays me do driver her to a hidden boutique hair salon where she pays $400 for a hair cut, another $400 for the dye job, plus tax and a $100 tip with a grand total of about $1,000. In her defense, she gets a lot of complements from random strangers.

I thought the Beverly Hills sign, with the globe lights on either side, was somehow built more recently. It reminds me of a sign of a post-modern-themed shopping mall from the 1990s. But it actually dates back to 1907---it's a replica of the original one. London's Scotland Yard has a nameplate sign from the 1960s in front of its bldg. It rotates & makes me think of a twirling KFC chicken-bucket sign from the 1970s. lol.

Fun Fact, the music video to the song you quoted at beginning was of course the playboy Mansion, which Is in adjacent Holmby Hills

Marilyn Monroe used to live in a two floor walk up in Beverly Hills where some of her most famous photos were taken and you can rent her studio room by the night. Factors Deli is there and they are a well known spot for musicians and athletes. Also, Beverly Hills was just far away enough from everything to also have connections to the wonky pseudo-christian cults which took root in the outskirts of LA County at the beginning to mid 20th century. It's not my favourite neighborhood in the county but it has its charms. Thanks for sharing your insights 😊

BH is the safest and cleanest city in LA county. This type of consistency is hard to find in CA. There's great homes in the 90211 and 90212 area of BH under 4 million.

Like much of LA, New York, and most global cities, how much you enjoy Beverly Hills is directly proportional to how much money you have. What's the saying? If you have to ask, you can't afford it. LOL

Just tried Philz Coffee for the first time, it was wonderful. Also this is more for the meat-eaters, but was in Culver City and I just tried a place that was selling a PB+J burger and...it was actually really good(?!). Not sure what the place was called, but it was fairly close to the Culvery City steps and had like, a school vibe with their composition book menus. As for Beverly Hills, there's not much reason to go there. If you want to feel poor, you can go to Malibu or Dana Point or whatever, and have better views and more to do in regards to hiking, beaches, view points, shopping and access to events. LA County and California have so much to offer, so it's a bit sad to see the people who probably slogged through traffic to go to Beverly Hills just to see the sign.

Seems like Beverly Hills is more of state of mind rather than a place you want to live. I’d rather live in East Northport. And yes other than mine there are landscapers moving from house to house except this one where I am the full time landscaper. 😂

Fab video Michael. As much as Beverly Hills does look great...to visit only. Just would not spend the money as overpriced and so not worth it. The videos I have watched thus far, so many better places in LA to go and spend your money.🙏😀💰💰💰

"Political corruption, scandal, bribery" make me think of city politics in metro areas. I recently saw a news report about people in BH complaining about increasing homelessness, which is cropping up largely on BH's east-facing side that straddles LA city boundaries. The sidewalks on the BH side are free of homeless, the sidewalks on the LA side are not. YT's Peter Santenello has done 2 vids recently & last yr on a more social-political look at BH.

Only good thing from there is Axel Foley. I hate the fake plastic style of it. I'd rather be in the Silverlake area of L.A. or Venice with those I can relate to. Hell, even the valley.
