Exploring the UI of the fresh sounding Buzz Zone from @toyboxaudio #iossynth, #vstsynth
Buzz Zone shares the same streamlined workflow as Thump One, but adds polyphony, samples and a powerful wavetable engine.
A lot of the ideas developed forToybox's virtual modular blocks were combined in a simple workflow for a really inspiring 'boutique' synth. There are a bunch of high quality analog modelled filters and oscillators under the hood and some really cool and unusual routing options for creative sound design.
This one focuses more on synth sounds, rather than Thump One's kick and bass sounds, with a big nod to 80's and 90's digital workstation synthesisers (think Roland JP-8000 supersaws blended with Yamaha DX7 style FM and a good smidge of 'PCM' lofi sampled attacks), with the envelopes, filters and routing options providing lots of ways to take the sound into pretty interesting territory.
