I arrived in Cyprus in November 1959 to October 1961 as an English 14 year old and got to visit some of the island before it was divided and got to visit St Helarion castle where we could see Kyrenia below A truly Beautiful island with good people both Turkish and Greek along with good food and Lemonade from a mountain village near Olympus called I believe Platres. I would love to go back but old age prohibits me.
Not bad video, soft relaxing music, interesting area, But Im not sure I like the overall program design, Im thinking people could be more engauged with the program, perhaps, with a more informative narration.
The north part of Cyprus is occupied by Turkey since 1974 MILITARY OCCUPATION The majority of all those are still our stolen lands and properties PLEASE We expect from you people to RESPECT that.. Turkey Invaded, kicked out the local population, been replaced them till on our days mainly by Turks setlers from its mainland. Ignoring of all of the UN resolutions about peace and justice for the island. Is actually a shame, on you sir . You just wanted a cheap place for holidays. At least ,you should of knew and few things about the islands history .. Especially today , That we all are so strongly supporters of Ukraine & Palestinians
In addition I didn't go for a holiday . I went just to get some footage. I was there for 24 hours. But it's a shame that a lot of locals are there for shopping. I have seen hundreds .
@TravelergloryEnglish Of course is a shame .. Since we enter the Euro zone/ Euro in 2008 , we are all after money . Not enough . I'm NOT going , in the occupied areas. I've been a few times to see how that part of my country ended up. Or still going.
