You're right, Stan. Somebody saw Frankie coming and got themselves a sweetheart deal. The more you can haul off and discard, the less money/time Frankie stands to lose.

This seems like a huge waste of time. I'd be surprised if there's enough of value there to even cover the disposal fees, let alone a bit of profit for all the time that will be invested.

I get to do projects like this every once in a while. I always end up with stuff I don't need at my house and usually my boss lets us boys split the scrap metal money. Gotta love it.

Lots of goodies there. Hopefully Frankie gets the Van trailer too to load the good stuff into. Wouldn't surprise me if he finds some guns in that mess. Sounds like he's really is happy about the plucker. They are a necessity if you have birds. Happy hunting!

That looks like a nightmare. He is lucky to have a buddy with lots of equipment and a RU-vid Chanel to get some views. I’m thinking more along the lines of $10-15k and I will have that cleaned up in a week or two. Unless there is a Corvette full of silver dollars under that pile you are going to loose your lunch on this job. I have NEVER even broken even on scrap vs time/fuel and most of that looks like wood and plastic. I would walk away as gracefully as I could.

Might be able to turn a few dollars.. We saw the bulb planter and grinding wheel. Saw a Milwaukee box looks like a drill, flip over icehouse (fish trap) may be more icefishing gear, the disk harrow may be worth a few bucks. If there's bags of wool maybe some shearing equipment.

I have friends like that too. I can't see enough there to make it worthwhile and it looks like a lot of work for little return. As for dragging some of those buildings . with out them coming apart Yeah that will test your skills. The ones clad in that chip board will not burn well either. We moved a single car metal and 4 x 2 shed 60 feet. By the time we braced it and got some poles and got it off the ground then rolled the poles around as the shed moved. We towed it with a 4wd. It would have been easier to knock it down and rebuild it. We only had to move it 60 feet and turn it 90*s. It was one of those "Sure ill come around and give you a hand with it" type jobs where they have the ideas but no practical experience and you have to engineer it. LOL Usually comes with the statement "it will only take a couple of hours". Ive been there bought that tee shirt, but only once. You live and you learn. You are looking at that job like a steep hill a man has to climb on a hot day.

My good buddy rented a room in a house from a hoarder. The hoarder had many prized possessions! Too as they consisted of 8 foot stacks of old newspapers throughout the 2 story house to the point you had to suck in your gut to squeeze past them. That day I learned what a hoarders was. Honestly I didn’t know what to think I was too young and naive to lay judgment. One mans treasure is another mans garbage...

Before all this " social distancing" my sister and brother in laws ran an auction..Sat. night you brought your stuff in ( most had pick-ups ) you'd be surprised at the stuff ppl will buy. Yes there's a lot of crap in there but at the same time in the right venue he could at least break even on the land fill cost of it ... some of those " bird" coops a to specialized for chickens I wonder if he may have had quail or pheasant. Either way it will make for some interesting viewing in the future 🤔😊

You all should turn the wood into charcoal. Charcoal is great for the garden.

The shipping container it self is good value. People are building cabins in the woods with those things.

The real story is Frankie bought an awesome farm at a great price; Stan (as a good friend) is helping him clear up all of that crap at 'mates rates' . I use to have a good number with an old guy who would collect all timber for free ( he use to chop it and sell it as kindling) but unfortunately he passed away last year and now my demo jobs cost me more money than most clients are willing to pay...

It's not a dandelion puller. It's a plugged. For pulling plugs of grass etc.

I do cleanups a few times a year for a realtor. I got smart. People LOVE cheap crap. So I go through and pull out everything into the yards and line them up. Set aside anything I really want and dumpster for trash. Add on FB and Craigslist and people show up and make offers on everything. Its insane.

That’s not worth doing these , time and dump expense

With scrap prices in the toilet, either your losing money on this job, or Frankie has to take all the scrap home, and sit on it till prices go up.
