I like the videos I saw of yours and felt this would be a good test of your application of science. You did pretty good, especially in recognizing arterial deposits tend to happen with oxidized LDL and inflammation. You did however refer to "bad cholesterol", which is where Ancel Keys should have left John Gofman to advance his theory. Nick Norwitz did the paper comparing Oreo cookies to statins, and really demonstrated the absurdity of the AHA lipid heart hypothesis. Nick is on Keto so his body is running on fat and his LDL is around 400. Six weeks of a dozen cookies a day lowered it substantially more than a 90 day statin. It knocked him out of ketosis. Your comment on one size fits all not working is spot on. In fact life insurance actuarial tables look for a one to one LDL to total cholesterol. Triglycerides are also a better measure. However when ,ooking at risk factors diabetes is by far the highest risk for CHD and mortality. An LDL of 100 has a higher all cause mortality than 280. Recent studies have shown saturated fats like butter are not a heath risk, though coconut oil is good and actually can generate keytones. There are subjective results it can improve Alzheimer's. Finally polyunsaturated fats in the form of seed oils are a major problem. First of all they go rancid during manufacture and get a 500⁰F deoderizing treatment. As you hinted omega 6 in high amounts is not good. However these oils have a 680 day half life in the body and aren't just inflammatory. They can go rancid in the body and produce aldehydes. 4-HNE is the most toxic. Among the worst things it can do is cause a peroxidization cascade in mitochondria, destroying the electron transport chain. 4-HNE is linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, Maclaren degenerative diseases, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. I cured my diabetes with keto and was avoiding processed sugars. The seed oil research papers I read really shocked me. 125 years ago these diseases were unheard of. I actually wrote a book about the modern disease epidemic. Anyway I do like your channel. You do pretty good explaining things and seem knowledgeable.

Very good presentation on fats, which are very important in the diet. You didn't mention seed oils(erroneously labeled vegetable oils) which are quite toxic polyunsaturates that are often villainized by YT health people. Five years ago I threw them all in the garbage can & haven't touched them since. I still eat cold meats, but I buy them from an Italian man who cures them all using air drying in his facility. He also sells Italian cheeses which I love. I don't worry about the saturated fat at all. I believe that the low fat & low salt diets promoted by doctors & the media have inflicted great harm on the populace. A book I highly recommend reading is THE BIG FAT SURPRISE by Nina Teicholz. Yes, that category of fat is such a big topic I’ll have to cover it on another episode! That’s great to hear you have already started cleaning up your fats. It makes such a big difference!

@@dr.robinlewis please help me i stay in Nigeria, where our health care system is very poor. i had a re occurent UTI for more than a year , i was given levoflaxcin and now it’s messed up my whole body ... rain drops feeling... . OCD , serious shortness of breath for months , frequent urinating, Bad isomnia.. i know it might have had effect on my tissue and cells. please help me i really do want to be fine .

I had been offered a job and a specific region of Italy a couple years back, harvesting olives for a season. It really upset me that I had to leave it could not do that. However, I have found that certain regions of Morocco have very harsh climate. This climate stresses out the olive tree. And return, the olives produce a ridiculous amount of polyphenols ❤

Get off the SAD diet and then saturated fats, which are the most stable fats are good for you. Check the new research on deli processed meats and nitrites if you can discuss it because more evidence shows they are healthy and have been around for thousands of years before refrigeration. New science shows health benefits. Please discuss! You are both smart and beautiful 😍. I see success in both your practice and social media.

I used to think that Lucy Hale was kind of attractive, then I started listening to her interviews on human development. A lot more attractive :) Listening to you kind of mirrors that concept. Very informative. Could you clarify on one thing because I keep hearing mixed answers in this? Can we cook with extra virgin olive oil or does the cooking cause it to go rancid?

You can cook with it but you want to keep it at a low to medium heat. This is usually not much higher than 200 degrees Celsius. Also, the higher the polyphenols the more protected the oil is against the heat aka you’re less likely to see it smoke and go rancid.

I had similar symptoms, and it turned out to be an electrolyte deficiency, especially potassium.
