I do love the episodes with the whole family, but I really enjoyed this "simple" episode. I liked the lack of distractions, just 'problem - solution.' Again, I love the entire family vibe, but those working alone days are refreshing, too. Thank you, as always, for the great content.

I wish other channels would set examples like Chad's. It's like relaxation while watching Chad instead of being tensed up almost expecting an accident to happen on some of those other fab and rescue channels. I enjoy watching them too, but Chad is so "zen-like" and enjoyable.

I love the license plate re-use, re-purpose and the recycle! I believe that is frugal NOT CHEAP!
@thatdave86
@thatdave86 Год назад
Have to ask ,are there any concerns that the chassis is made up of various pieces? My thinking is that a plate would be needed to cover from behind the attachment of old to new and forward to the front ,that would encompass all the add ons that you have added IMO If you were building that in New Zealand,all that work would need to be complied with a low volume certificate,very stringent on modified suspension and chassis work . In some ways it could be better to build a new chassis with all the altered brackets and mounting supports built on to that . I would be interested to see you thoughts ,and I'm not critiquing your craftsmanship.
@chadsfab
@chadsfab Год назад
All of the various pieces are cut in a way that their aren't any straight butt welds and also have additional pieces to reinforce all the joints. The weakest spot are the pieces that weld to the outside of the rails (steering box bolts to the drivers side one) are heavily reinforced by the shock towers and their associated bracing. This frame is quite strong, much stronger than the stock frame. Where the new pieces weld to the original frame will be fully fish plated when the original rails get boxed. The front part of the frame will also have additional structure from the roll cage that will run from the firewall up to the end of the rail where the bumper will bolt. The front roll cage structure will also tie in the upper points of the shock towers to keep them from flexing. We don't have any inspections here in the USA on altered vehicles like most of the world does.
@thatdave86
@thatdave86 Год назад
@@chadsfab thanks for the explanation,and yes I've heard that the USA is easy on these builds ,a Ridgid enforcement adds many dollars and time to build and even when certified,they then have to pass what they call Warrant of Fitness inspection,and they may find something they don't agree with Cheers

Yesterday watched video of dudes having problems with flat cams or lifters. Many of the dudes are well known on the tubes. Was so sad heard them express they would never have kids. They will miss the mark completely. Those men will only have a few moments of satisfaction in life. Till their money is gone or they find out there is always someone with more money or better machines. I have had no money but have had a few machines that were so fast it would scare you. I set now with no money , no machines that are fast but I do have a family that makes me Very happy and satisfied. Don’t get me wrong, My heart aches every time I think of or see a fast thing on wheels. Fast machines are like prostitutes, they demand more money. A family can give real happiness. Just thinking.
