this place was amazing
big shout out to mr willo for the lead on this.....a place I had never even heard of before.
closed since the 90's we wasn't the first to step foot since then but the place has had very little foot traffic since its closure.
The cemetery was opened in 1831 and in use until about 1921 as the cemetery of the Liverpool New Hebrew Congregation, which is now defunct. It has been sealed off since the 1990s and is now completely overgrown. The earliest headstone dates from 1842.
the cemetery was restored by famous Liverpool solicitor Elkan Rex Makin in 1991 as his family are buried here, and since then has fell into an overgrown mess with headstones consumed by the ivy that snakes its way around this site.
lets hope whoever is responsible for this place sees this video and clears the place and opens it up rather than leave this place to be forgotten about
